- We hit the beach in our Jeep Gladiator. Overlanding from the desert of big bend to the shore of Padre Island National Seashore we get hit with an arctic blast and have to hunker down.

That looks like an awesome camping trip. I’m planning to camp the same beach next month… do you use an app to track the tides? Ive always wanted to camp on the beach but im terrified of the tide sneaking up on me
I do have an app but at the visitor center they gave us a paper with the tides for the whole month. We were never in any danger as there was plenty of room to park your vehicle without worry.

Right? I think we were beaching wrong. We’ll have to come there and relearn how to beach.
