Weller using a mapleglo 330 here, its strange (forgive the pun) that after he left the Jam he has never been seen using a Rickenbacker since. I've read that he got heartily sick of using them because he used pretty much nothing else except for the odd Hofner during his time with the band. What surprises me is that in the 36 years subsequently he has never been tempted to give them a try again. Probably just confirms what a temperamental man he is, I recall once hearing his old man saying in an interview that Paul is 'just about the most moody person I've ever met'. Paul didn't write the song my ever changing moods for nothing!!
Orsm post ..tks ...I bought a 330 back in the "Day" cos I was well into The Jam and it was the guitar to have, my mum funded the purchase at the time and I still probably owe her few quid for it to this day ….40 years later ha ha ..God bless mums and Paul Weller ...lol :-)

There was NO mod revival until 1979! When THE WHO's Quadrophenia was released! Until then 'THE JAM ' were playing to 'pUnK' audiences! That is where they flourished! NO PUNK NO JAM! dx
My all time favourite Jam single. I saw them first in 1979 and they were bloody awesome. The soundtrack to my teenage years....😍
Favorite Jam single. The 'B' side Butterfly Collectors was brilliant too.

weller did and does still use rickenbackers!see them in council video,s and solo stuff
He actually played a Rickenbacker on The Style Council's song 'My Ever-Changing Moods' - ua-cam.com/video/YtFlbz136m8/v-deo.html
Weller and Foxton got great tones from their respective Rickenbacker’s. There is nothing else that sounds quite like them.
My mates got BRUCE FOXTONS blazer serious
So it's HD. Would be nice if the aspect ratio was also right, and not horizontally stretching a 4:3 image to a fit a 16:9 box.
Clive B Nerd alert !
