Thanks Jim, glad the videos were helpful. Thanks for watching.
Good video! Thanks for your help learning the lake!
Hey Nelson, happy to help. Let us know if there is anything in particular you would like to see. Good Fishing Always!
@@BeyondHeadwaters hey are you a long time local? I live in Titusville and fished a lot of local tournaments many years ago. I used to fish with Cocoa Bass Masters Club. You look very familiar that’s why I’m asking. You have done a very good job on your videos!
@@nelsoncallon8075 born and raised. Grew up beachside in Indialantic. Spent most of my days in the surf. Did not do any tournament fishing but fished all over the area as well.
Thanks so much for the videos! My son and I are planning a trip down first week of December. These videos have great info that will help us get acquainted with the lake!
Hey Randy, Sorry I missed your comment. You are going to have a great time fishing this lake. . I have more videos on the way. Just uploaded another one this morning. If you have any questions let me know.
Thanks for the good information. I'm looking forward to seeing the future videos.
Appreciate the feedback. My partner Dave and I have a lot of videos planned out should start cranking them out once this storm passes.
Lol black dually is mine. Even with the storm had a damn good day out on the lake 🤙🏻
Looks like we are going to get hammered again with winds over the next few days. Wed 19-27 NE, Thurs 18-25 ENE, Fri 16-27 ENE There will be a lot of vegetation moving around.
This is awesome! Didn't make it down to Palm Bay area last year but the year before, we spent a week at Lake Garcia. I'm really hoping I can get down there in Feb or Mar 2021!!!!
C'mon Down there are plenty of big ones to go around. Hit us up if your heading this way.
I know now that only the worst engineers design boat ramps . The grooves in the ramp actually run the wrong way cause it all pitches to the center . All those square blocks in the water make no sense at all . They cut corners so the didn’t have to pile drive the perimeter and drain it to pour the ramp properly. Center walkway already looks to be degrading and holding water .
Yes they do have some work to do o the ramp for sure.
25 25 25 MPH 25MPH on the water that's 25 MPH!
Idle past other boaters idle speed idle idle speed idle speed past other boaters!
It doesn't matter how far your out! It doesn't matter if your "from away"
Don't be that guy! And you really don't want to Piss off the "locals"
Integrity is everything
For sure! Been waked up by the big boats quite often.
Can you (or even should you) put in a kayak at the headwaters and then go down the S-Canal to get into the lake? I hear that you can't fish the S-Canal - true? Or do you suggest just going down to the Stick Marsh boat ramp? How is the hydrilla right now (11/16/20)?
Hey Jeff, You can put in and paddle/pedal the S Canal. It is a long run but it can be a long run if you put in at the kayak launch as well. if you just want to get out and catch some fish there are plenty to be caught in the bay area ( where it opens up to the east not to far down the canal). hydrilla is always a factor for the most part unless you are in a canal. You can't have a bad time no matter where you go in this lake. Some days are more challenging then others but well worth it.
@@BeyondHeadwaters Thanks so much. I heard the trek down the S Canal is about 3 miles so putting in at the Stick Marsh may be better. But I do like your idea of going down the S Canal about 1/2 way and hanging a "left" (correct?) into the bay area. I will try that. I guess I just need to get out there and see the lay of the land.
@@BeyondHeadwaters Is there a kayak place to put in at the stick marsh or do you use the loading ramps? Is it is easy and quick to get over to the main lake after putting in?
Is there anywhere on Headwaters where speeds in excess of 25 miles per hour is permissible by lake rules? I hear conflicting accounts about the maximum allowable speed limit at Headwaters being 25 miles per hour--just want the rules for safety.
My understanding in talking to the FWC guys is 25 is the limit and slow down when passing other boats. I know they wrote some tickets a while back. I do see a lot of boats not slowing down for the smaller boats, and kayaks. It is on the sign to the left of the ramps.
@@BeyondHeadwaters Sir--deeply appreciate the response. Thank you for this channel. See you on the water.
@@johngarner9929 Absolutely !
How in the world did you come across a time when virtually no boat trailers were present?
Lol, I figured the storm would keep almost everyone away and it worked out.
It sure did! I sure would like to see that boat ramp look like that just one time for me!
@@brianbickhaus9081 For sure I agree with you there.
