The movie, while not the most brilliant, has one of the coolest names ever. In the mouth of madness, who couldn't love that? I saw this on good old VHS way back in the day. Yeah, getting up there in age, hahahaha. On Saturday I will be 46 and I have no idea where the last 20 years disappeared to
Wild concept for sure. It felt like a collaboration of Steven King, Smith, Sodergren, Bradbury, Koontz......well you get what I'm saying. I did enjoy it. (and for you: minimal gore). Thanks
Minimal gore... you think you know me?! Yes, you definitely do haha. I'm glad you liked this one too! hey, did you see me respond to your comment on the Cuckoo video? I asked if there's anything you want to see on the channel
I love that you said that there is so much Stephen King influence, but your first observation was more to the point. This is a homage to H.P Lovecraft. Stephen King has said “Lovecraft. . . opened the way for me,” writes King, “as he had done for others before me.... it is his shadow, so long and gaunt, and his eyes, so dark and puritanical, which overlie almost all of the important horror fiction that has come since.”
Okay John Carpenter wrote and performed the opening song I believed. Metallica route 3 amazing songs (dream no more, the thing that should not be, and call of Ktulu ) about the Cthulhu mythos (HP Lovecraft) which is what in the mouth of madness the thing and most alien monster movies are based on. I have been in love with these types of movies all my life. I'm 50. Metallica just help me understand that this is cosmic horror...also I'm in love with Metallica 😂

@@mikewatchesstuff OK, how about the original (1956...year I was born)
Invasion of the Body Snatchers !!! I think I saw it, maybe, long ago.
I have heard about it being an inspiration for so many others who create horror! We'll do this one for you, thanks Pauline
Yes! It definitely was a fun movie!
If you think about it, this is the only movie that's a flawless adaptation of the book.
