    #6 and most importantly: the inability to admit that you deserve your losses. Every loss blamed on your team is a loss you don't learn from. My bronze friends are constantly berating me with times they had a good score and lost and how ELO hell is real and blah blah blah. When I watch them play, you know what I see? Toxicity, poor decision-making, refusal to cooperate in team fights for fear of dying, and bad mechanics. Listen, if you get a good score against bronze players, that doesn't mean you're good! Doing good vs. shit doesn't mean anything. If you go 5-0 in lane, it doesn't excuse you getting 50 cs by 10 minutes.
    I always find it odd that the players in bronze are the players with the most pride. Bronze players more than anyone else say way too much chat, are always trying to correct their teammates, are always berating their teammates for making mistakes, and so on. All of these things distract your team and decrease your chances of winning.

    how to 99% carry yourself from bronze to challenger: 1. pick any champ in any role (you must know the champ well enought to not get a negative kd) step.2 wait until somebody gets first and then write "omg very well played you are very good". next time he gets a kill or does something good write something like "nice mechanics" or "very well played :)" this person will then try to impress you even more and will stop raging about your other lanes feeding. then you tell him something like "you are soo good pls carry us" and then "can you shut down this fed *insertanychampionrighthere* alone" and since he wants to show you how good he is he will give his best to roam and win the game. That makes 2 fed people (you and the other dude) so the best is to take either mid or support (support to get a fed adc and to lick his ass). Your other teammates now also want to be admired by you and will stop raging and give their best.
    Watch your elo rise while you absolutely suck at this game...

    Well, I'm in bronze 2, and I'm trying my best to get into gold (High Goals are good) but it's troubling playing with players that become highly toxic and risk too much for one kill.

    • @dominater5
      @dominater5 9 років тому

      getting gold is a realistic goal for any player
      just focus on your own mistakes and play lots of games and remember to roam, almost nobody in low elo roams especially to bot lane so if you do you're probably gaurentied kills

    Here is the problem with me I have a 2.5 KD with at least 70% of my champs i play. I hardly do bad and always lose because my team won't FUCKING LISTEN!! it's so crazy how a human being can ignore 20 FUCKING PINGS AND THE CHAT WHEN SOMEONE IS TYPING "NO" DON'T "Don't SPLIT PUSH" "GO BACK TO BASE" they literately BLACK THE FUCK OUT and when they die they snap out of it and say.... "Where is my team omg you guys suck".... all i can do is just close my eyes and PRAY...This game makes me lose faith in all humans... but i can't quit cause it's a CURSE!! I've started L.O.HELL s4 and just got out of bronze after 7 months and through that time i realized people will. Betray you when you just wanna dance, Everyone will blame you when you are jg and they are losing lane, and finally they will tell you that "i'm a good teemo" when they are vs a fioria... 7 months of hard work to get out of bronze and my life and computers fate relies on a teemo top... vs fioria. We get in the game he gives her 4 kills in the first 10 mins and bot fed vayne 7 kills. I leave the game and close my computer. Walk to my room and lay in my bed wondering why jesus don't really fuck with me like that. That game could possible demote me to bronze 1 back where i was but... now i have to wait 24 hours to see where my account lays....

      You sound like a toxic player that doesn't want to be or realize they're being toxic. 20 pings? I'd stop listening to that too, that shit's annoying. Bottom line is a lot of the people playing LOL are children, and they apparently hate being told what to do. They take critique personally instead of constructively so learning how to communicate effectively with that mindset is imperative to getting them to not only listen, but to understand.
      You're placing way too much importance on your rank and you're losing the fun of the game. Get back to where you can have fun with it and you'll find yourself improving. Maybe consider playing ARAM for a bit to get a better grasp on how different champs function. Whatever you do, don't keep trying the same thing and expecting different results.

    • @TheKeii

      Yea I win about 70% of my games but lose the i'm only getting about 13 lp when i win and i lose 27 when i lose??

      1. grab a duo partner, not some diamond1 player but someone in silver 4 or so, something around your level who can play WELL. 2. have fun and dont worry about winning think what can I have done better personally to have won that game and how can I improve 3. Stop using chat. just stop. stop pinging if you have to. At least until you learn to not rage, the higher elo you go the less ragers you get, maybe a troll every now and then but ragers that type into chat hardly get higher elo/rank 5. Lastly, create a new account and pick a champ to master and get to level thirty and start fresh, this is not the perfect advice but if you have the time I'd highly reccommend it it raised my rank tremendously just mastering a few champs. 6. learn every role decently and master 3 champs for one role that you want, you wont get it but when you do you should have a high enough win % to eventually convince ppl to let you play it

    • @FfejTball
      @FfejTball 9 років тому +11

      Alexander Bemu You make a great example of toxic "help".
      Look at the way you talk, the advice you give, and the context it's in. If this is how you behave in a comment section, there's no way I want to play with you in game.

  • @DraphEnjoyer

    Number 5 is the most important. I have lost so many games solely because people refuse to listen and just end up going in 2v5 because we're ahead and it's "fun"

    I would've also added that low ELO players don't know when keep fighting or when to retreat. So many times we're at Baron, Dragon or Tower, I know the enemy's coming to defend so I tell everyone to back off and then everyone dies from the 4 people that arrive and I'm blamed because I left.
    Another thing is not knowing how to play in a balanced way. What I mean by that is knowing when to play passively or aggressively. There's almost always someone in low ELO [I'm currently in Silver unfortunately] who KNOWS he's way behind in CS or simply got countered in champ select and he still fights very aggressively when he knows perfectly he'll get killed. People need to learn when to be aggressive and when to be passive.

    • @sasuke64palms
      @sasuke64palms 10 років тому +3

      That's probably one of my bigger weakness. I'm Silver as well, and I'll be honest, I tend to play passive far more often than I should.
      I'm pretty timid in game when it comes to making plays.

    • @AzureRoxe
      @AzureRoxe 10 років тому

      Kelton Bowling i'm the opposite lol. I tend to play aggresively.

  • @Blackjax137
    @Blackjax137 10 років тому +10

    The sad thing is however... You can be an exceptional player, but all it takes it one douche to upset another douche for them both to go 0/11 and blame lags.
    Which is the problem in low ELO, because the further down, the more common it gets. Once that happens, your only hope is to avoid that 22/0/20 Riven and hope their entire team has no map awareness while you split push.
    I'm a plat 1 player, and I'm sitting in the middle of the division. Winning and losing, it appears to be my skill limit. So I made a smurf, had the most unbalanced unranked matchmaking (I was against a Season 3 challenger, with a gold season 3 team) for 10 placement games... Then I landed Silver V.
    So my thoughts were "Silver V, that's not terrible. I can do something with that." ...Never was I so wrong, months later I'm in Silver III. I can say, witnessed first hand, that unless you're a top tier challenger, carrying yourself out of low ELO is hard. It's not even skill based, it's luck.
    I don't believe in ELO hell, you'll eventually climb if you deserve to after a few hundred games but damn... It's not impossible, I've climbed, although it's the people that dictate your win or loss.
    ---
    So I can say this: If you're trying, you'll see results. Although I feel for you, it is a nightmare down there.

      Indeed. I main jungle (Fav champs: Nocturne by far, then Xinzhao and Pantheon).
      I've had MANY games where I went like 5-1-5 by 20 minutes and could easily 1v1 anyone of their team. In this stage, our team should be abusing their lead and push hard, deny exp and gold to their carries, ward up their whole jungle to find picks and so on.
      But no, everyone is playing extremely passive and wants their 6 item build completed.
      I recently had a game where we had a 17k gold lead by 35 minutes (according to lolreplay). WE LOST because everyone wanted to go 6 items even though 3 clean aces were achieved between 20 and 45 minutes. Instead of taking towers and inhibs, they went back and then continued farming.
      By the time they got their 6 item builds, the enemy team also had 4 core items and enough damage and sustain to win a fight. Then they picked our adc who wanted to "solo baron" without ward coverage or sweeping lens...
      Having our adc down, the rest of my team engaged 3v5 "no prob we have full items style", got dumped on at baron too and there I stood...

    • @Blackjax137
      @Blackjax137 10 років тому +2

      Hans Muster As a Jungle, it's relatively easy to carry in low ELO. I'd say one of the easiest roles that are able to do so.
      Players in low ELO hate being camped. You can litterally sit your behind in the top bush and keep gutting that Irelia.
      Irelia then ragequits, making you 4v5 and fed.
      That perk falls off at around Silver 3 ish, but you can skip a whole league just by doing that.
      ---
      I main support... And relying on others ain't easy...

      Indeed, I usually do this with bot and mid (Silver 1 in S3 and playing in Bronze 4 atm. DON'T do placement matches when you're drunk :D)
      It probably just was this "one game" everyone has. Very rage inducing nonetheless.

    2 mistake that I found myself doing (and am trying to stop) are:
    1) unwittingly going into a 1v2 fight.
    If I know that I don't have a team mate close by... don't assume that the enemy is in the same boat.
    2) not using my potions.
    I think "I am sort of low health, but I plan to back after just one more wave. lets just save this potion for next time...."

  • @Ruldolphmaker

    speaking of that last one: i wanted to jump through my computer and smack some guy on my team.
    -basically we were winning and i called for a tower push (this is after i got the objectives>kills tip) in mid to push us further..... the response was "doesnt matter, we're winning"......
    *we lost*
    even better the guy blamed me for not being in the teamfights that they had no real reason for starting...... in their jungle with half the other team missing.... pardon me if they surround you and fight in their bushes, then bait you to a turret and more friends, one of whom has epic CC.
    still tho, great vid, and i will most certainly work on these things,.

    how to improve your game and get out of Bronze in 3 easy steps.
    1-Map Coverage and Ward Placement (this will get you out of Bronze all on its own) if you are on lane and not pushing, thenevery other second you should be looking at your map. you should have wards down as much as possible to make sure people are not going to gank you. and so your team has view of where the enemy is going to be.
    2-cs /Last hit ( practice this shit until it bleeds from your nose) the more last hits you have the more stuff you can buy to sustain on lane.
    3-item build- proper item builds against differing oppenents mean everything in the game. esp on the fly when you have to adapt.
    these are core mechanics and will get you out of bronze into silver and possibly even gold if you practice, practice, practice.

I also started to film every game I play to be able to go back and watch what I did good and what I did wrong, that could be a possibility of giving yourself some usefull critisism if you can find your own misstakes in the match after the match if you cant find it while youre playing.

    Hi, my summoner name is chaosboomdoom. when i first started playing lol in mid/late season 2 I was really bad at the game in s3 i got placed in bronze 5 and I carried every game with kassadin, at times 30 to 4 while my team was feeding. but there was one thing I never realized. I was in bronze 5 I could not learn from the people around me, but what I could do was spectate higher elo players an at time add them an give me tips. Thing to note is you need to think deeply about what they are doing and why like noticing patterns of people backing off at 3:50 since they might take red buff and head over to top. I thought I was already pro I never knew i was in bronze. every time you flash think about it could you have saved that flash, can I wait for them to engage on me an stay behind my minions an not take damage for an a good trade can I use my spells without them trading with me like lets say i'm riven I can go on them stun them keep attacking wait for them to get out of stun an still keep attacking(not a good idea) becuase then they can land an even trade on you. a better way would be to go in stun them get out take 0 damage. In s4 which I am still gaining elo i main riven just a day ago I went 30 to 10 an I wondered to myself why those 10 deaths just why. With this I was able to climb from bronze 4 to almost s1 currently I am in s2 87 lp I am going to get gold this season I know it becuase I'm focusing on my mistakes I went against a duo plat 2 days ago and everything he did I noticed that game he went negative an I went postive as a adc an then the next game I was amazing. My goal is to reach plat this season and I think i can peace :p

Tanks soak damage, assassins and carries primarily stay back until they can deal their damage safely or poke until then, and stick to the general meta in team-fights at lower elos.

      Jackisaboss1208 Do you force objectives or roam? Are you doing well in teamfights? ask yourself those questions and answer them honestly and you ll have what probably makes you lose. I myself am platinum 5 and my mechanics arent that great but i know when to force objectives or when to roam,

    • @XxxNovaAssaultxxX
      @XxxNovaAssaultxxX 9 років тому

      Jackisaboss1208 Make sure when you get a lot of kills, then take objectives since the enemy death timers are giving your team the advantage of numbers. Honestly, in lower elos, baron buff usually isn't used very effectively outside the extra gold, and can sometimes be a bit risky, so the best option when winning a teamfight or getting a few picks is to take a quick, uncontested dragon (and if the enemy tries to contest, force them off since more of your team should be alive), and then try hard to take an inhib. Inhib's put extreme amount of pressure on the enemy, even more so in lower elos when map awareness is lacking and minions can get to the enemy nexus, allowing you to potentially take more inhibs. Also, another tip in my opinion, is to learn a champion with a really good engage against the enemy. A lot of times i see both teams just sitting there, not knowing when, where, or how to engage. Someoene like sejuani ,wukong, or amumu can carry teamfights, as they usually catch the enemy offguard, give your team some time to go in, and feeling more confident themselves when they can count on a hard engage to allow them to do their damage without instantly getting bursted up, helping to prevent tilt and preventing the usual "peel for me" complaining that can start fights more often than you would think.

    I ended up in S4 last season. Was my first season playing ranked as I had hit level 30. Went literally 2-8 in promos. I fed, was the focus of all the trash talk. The biggest thing I learned was the champion select about who counters who is literally useless in Silver/Bronze (in my opinion). Sure it has it's meta involvement, but people would be like... ohhhh nasus you have to play teemo (and many other instances but you get the picture). At first I listened to them, then after I got demoted to B1 I said to myself... 'well it doesn't get that much worse than this... I'm playing champs I wanna play now." Best thing I've ever done. I promoted back to Silver 4, and games got much better. People would complain I wasn't listening to their advice in champ select (which I still listened to them as far as team comps, if we needed tanky player or AP/AD on our team, etc). But I generally picked my favorite champs. I became decent at the game, was able to contribute much more to the team and things got better. Just wanted to give some real life info on his portion of this video regarding champ select.

    One thing that really helps win games is VISION. I used to never buy wards so we would never have vision and lose games easily. I started buying wards on any role I play. Sometimes you may not have enough gold for you core item so youre saving, but that core item might be a game changer, but wards can be. Every time I back I buy what I can, Ex. Leblanc Mid, Core item is DFG, your first back is with 1300 gold or around there, so I buy tier 1 boots, and the book with 30AP/10CDR and as many wards as I can. A big tip to help your vision control when your team isnt warding is when you go back and you only have 400 gold, but not enough for any item you really need, buy 3 wards. Its gold you can't really use yet, but the wards WILL help you in the long run. Just because youre a carry or tank doesn't mean you don't need to buy wards. It isnt your supports job to buy wards. One player can only place 3 wards. That's 20 wards if everyone places 3 regular and a pink. That alone will give you a HUGE advantage over the other team.
    TL;DR, Buy Wards every time you back with leftover gold and you'll win games easily.

    I totally agree on number 5. I have a friend that recently started, and I expect a good bit out of him. His games are lasting nearly an entire hour because no one presses their lead. The most recent one I watched they were ahead 20-4 or something, and their opponent came back and won. They completely failed on pressing their lead and forcing the game to be over. If I had been in that game, I would have been able to lead the team by pressuring their most fed, which was a Varus (with the worst build I've ever seen, didn't get any damage until late). Then taking objectives. Another thing is he does not know the order of objectives. He does worship the dragon. He thinks he can jungle, but that's really just because he doesn't know how to lane against a real person. I know the feeling he has, but I didn't learn to lane against people until I was forced to. I found a champion I liked, Tryndamere, and bot him after he was no longer free. I took him in the jungle at first, but eventually I started laning for some reason. And soon I was a very dominant top laner with Tryndamere. He isn't taking my tips on playing the game, and I think that's where he's failing. (My number one tip for him is to watch videos like these.)

In that situation, you're not claiming you are the super best player that will carry your team, but you are providing an option that the entire team can elect to, and at the same time it's your idea and you're losing anyway so ppl won't be afraid to try. Since they can just blame you if it fails, but if you're losing anyway worst thing you can do is NOT TRY. And NOT making plays

      The Creator The warding thing in laning phase is what I do. (I worked on it these last days lel) Buying sightstones, then boots, then my support items.
      Soraka is weak as hell, my enemies are scared of me early game coz i can actually take 5% of their health down if I aim correctly. And I do, as they are unranked like me they don't even try to dodge. But as the game goes on, I shouldn't stay alone at all or I'm instantly dead.
      My laning phase is very much ok for a noob I think (I asked ranked friends)
      Oh and yes, when my carry is away in early game, I try to hit them as much as I can when I see my creeps are low, so they cant get the CS :D
      But when we all start FUCKIN' AROUND and roaming, I lose my marks. Dunno where to put the wards. Often one or two in the river when we are all mid, so we can see em coming from the flanks. When one tower is down, I put one in the intersection of the jungle... I hope it's fine

    • @eewweeppkk
      @eewweeppkk 9 років тому

      kenshila I'd say that 99% of wards go in bushes. All you have to do is put it in a bush, really. There are some places where you have to be specific. Let's say you want to ward blue, put it at the verrrry tip of the blue bush so you can see more area, but still inside of the bush. That's really all there is too it. Don't worry about whether or not a ward is going to be useful, because knowing an enemy is not somewhere is just as useful as knowing an enemy is somewhere.

    I just hit level 30 in December, and I suck at last hitting. mainly because I jungle. when I did my first provisional match, I was tossed into the mid lane. we won, but I fed early on. the lesson I learned, pick one role and champion to learn and master (for me, I main Warwick in the jungle), and have at least one champion you are comfortable with in other lanes. my first support match sucked because I had to go Blitzcrank and had no idea how to play him. after that, become proficient with other champions in your preferred role, then do the same for the others. this is just to help out the newer players (you know who you are, keep doing work!)

    • @Horisukun
      @Horisukun 9 років тому

      It also pays to have champions for all roles. I have three champions for each role but I mostly play support. If I can't support I ADC or Mid and if not I Jungle or Top(Worst role). I let them know beforehand that I don't do those roles much but if they're fine with it then I'll try. It's okay if you have to be the filler, as long as you can do decently. You don't have to get super fed but you have to at least be able to not feed so much and help out your team in any way you can. It is a team game afterall..

  • @TheByQQ
    @TheByQQ 10 років тому +18

    One thing that sometimes is overrated is cs. I understand that if adc has 40 cs after an hour of game it's bad, but when we're 20 minutes in game, I have maybe 30-50 cs but have as much gold as the rest of the team thanks to kills and assists (well, maybe not as much but close enough) they shouldn't cry about my cs. I hate when people play "farming simulator" when I have trouble on my lane. "I can't help, I'm farming, just stop dying" and then they cry about my cs, when I was barely able to get close enough to minions to hit them without dying. I'm talking about normals, I don't like playing ranked, I'm a casual gamer that for sure won't get higher than silver/gold and I'm not interested in geting virtual rewards like skins or icons, but the people I'm talking about are often talking how they are in gold/silver/plat and how good they are.

    • @Alientcp
      @Alientcp 10 років тому +19

      With all due respect, cs is not overrated. 30-50 cs at 20 min mark is too few regardless of the gold you have. Chances are that you have more kills, but the lack of cs will deny any advantage as the opposing laner will have exactly the same gold than you only by csing and having more deaths.
      The only exception to that rule is that if you are the jungler and you are successful with A LOT of ganks, and i still think its too few.
      You have to learn to be more effective at csing. Either by not forcing a fight, or forcing less fights, learning to cs under tower if losing, and at the very least (the less recommended, but useful at the end) using your mana to get the last hit. You could also consider changing the champion as csing is one of the first things you have to master.
      I do understand that you are a casual player, but remember that is a team game, and by underfarming you are setting your team behind willingly or not, thats 4 players having a bad experience playing the game because of you failing at what is considered your primary job in the role you play.

    • @TheByQQ
      @TheByQQ 10 років тому

      The guy won't have as much gold as me by csing because he's dead almost all the time, then I push and farm as much as I can or go gank other lanes. This way the guy is useless for the enemy team, they quickly lose a tower or two, game over.

    • @ElioRigonat
      @ElioRigonat 10 років тому +6

      ***** You are wrong and here is why. If you fail cs but kill the player, he will come back, farm 2/3 waves and it will again be a 0-0 situation for you. BUT if you win cs and kill the player, you are making a boundary between you two that can not be overcome for the entire game. You must win both CS and kills.

    • @Alientcp
      @Alientcp 10 років тому +6

      By the third-fourth time you kill him he will worth about the same as a minion. Claiming that you have the same gold as the rest of the team 20 mins in game with 30-50 cs is simply not true, that unless you manage to kill him about 40-50 times.
      Face it, you are bad at cs and you need to improve in that field.

Die 3-4 times in like 3 minutes being say lvl 1 vs lvl10.. cursin' at the team and then logging off again. I started ranked after 10 initial rounds at bronze 3.. in last 2 werks dropped to bronze 5 .. and every single time i'd crawl a rank up i'll get a series of utterly retarfed teams like those mentioned to drag me down again. And who cares that say i'm a support as nautilus solo bot cayse our jinx ran into enemy and died under towet 3 times and then ragequit. I'd hold bot with 10/4 score solo vs2 also tabk for the team and cc.. but if my dear moron mid manages to feed say 0/6.. and top even worse with jungler never even logging in.. i cannot win 1vs fed team.. :)))it's a magical trap from which one can get out ONLY by creating a smurf.. getting to l30 and then running initial 10 rounds with xp already and simply NOT landing in that pile of retarded no english speaking pile of poles and greeks :))

      Its true. I also got into to that shithole but my advice is to change region seriuosly for some reason i got non retarted players i know it costs RP but you can also do a new account but i do think its very dumb that you have to do this to get out of it but its true.

    You could probably add more about vision. You only mention it briefly near the end and I think buying wards and placing them in key locations is something that isn't done very often in low elo and could very often change the tide of the game.

    Well since there's not a lot of detail about items here. I'll say that Kayle can benefit from the ancient coin early on. Not as a push item. But taking her E ability and softening up creeps for a friend while making enough to survive on your own can be a life saver. Upgrading it as soon as possible is also an idea with this strategy. However you shouldn't stick to one lane when helping. Try to buff your allies on all sides. And remember to switch some allies can slow enemies, which is great for killing assassins, some allies have silencing which can devastate mages, some allies can burst damage which can crush tanks, and tanks can often survive a mere slowing.
    But what do I know, I'm still basically a noob myself.

    I have a really good one that I think was missed: Knowing when to go back!
    I'm gold now but in climbing here, this was one of the most frustrating things I had to deal with (and still dealing with it atm)
    By far the most common of these was after taking a quick inhib instead of quickly retreating before the enemy rushes them with homeguards, they would just start idling by the destroyed inhib, ocasionally farming the spawning minions, ocasionally taking pot shots at whomever on the other team just re-spawned, but basically get hard engaged with homeguard once their initiators / assasins are up, die, then give baron / drake / some towers / inhibs of our own.
    Just thought it was worth sharing.

    dragon is just a thing that is so much talked about in lcs that low elo players like myself start believing that its the world but they dont see that they sometimes give that up and just run straight down mid and get a tower

  • @Industrialcraftbeast

    Just wondering in the video you said the Situational Priorities in game are:
    1. Inhibitors
    2. Baron
    3. Towers
    4. Dragon
    5. Buffs
    But I want to know where kills come in? Let's say there's a tower I'm attacking and there's also a free kill right next to me I see 4 enemy members coming to help defend it. Do I take the tower and run? Or take the kill? Or let's say it's a double kill?

    I think Mistake 3 and 5 have the same reason:
    People don't want to end it quickly because they like feeling powerful.
    So they play in a way that drags the game out in order to reach level 18 and complete their item-builds in order to experience how powerful their characters can get.
    So people going for drag instead of tower is not necessarily because they misjudge the value, it might also be because they want to drag out the game.

    WONDERFUL! THANK YOU! Please tell me you have a season 5 version of this? I would especially like to know if your objectives rankings changed this season. Especially that Dragon now grants buffs and not gold. and if used correctly, Baron could be, in my opinion, worth 3 inhibs.

  • @AtH1338

    4:45 is so correct. People at my elo don't understand that turrets are more valuable than Drag. Now I just ping turrets and take them solo while my team gets drag. That should never happen. My team should always be pushing towers down and THEN, if they have time, killing dragon and getting those buffs. It drives me nuts.
    One of the things that I fall victim to is poor positioning in teamfights. I constantly find myself in a bad place because I'm not paying attention to where I'm positioned.

    I've played over 3000 normal games, only recently did i start playing ranked, got to Silver I in a few days, now a few games away from promotionals. The #1 reason why i lose games at the moment are people going afk/dcing, i can carry games where someone feeds, because after all that feeding they aren't that valuable to kill anymore and the enemy that got fed is easier to focus down because they get cocky. However i am literally sick and tired of someone just going afk while playing ranked, they should improve how banning works in soloq.

    even though everything in this is more or less true, it basically boils down to "be better at playing league". "Don't miss cc" isn't rally a tip to help people get better, its what you passively do as you get better. A tip to actually help would be something like, "know how much of a minions hp you take out in 1 hit and don't try to last hit until they are below that amount, instead of just attacking the lowest hp minion in sight" or "stay out of the enemy's tower range if your going to harass".

    This was quite helpful, for the reason that it helped me understand that I'm actually significantly better mechanically and technically than most low elo players, despite having hardly ever played ranked games. The only mistake I could identify myself as doing was the poor positioning in teamfights. I'm quite guilty of that.

    I do agree here, although I do have the skills of a bronze V player, after a day of LCS or major tournament or something, and I see a bunch of wannabes in games picking what is op. For example, people see pros picking Nidalee Jungle, Nautilus support or Urgot mid, people thinks that is op and must play that, Occasionally there are one or two people who are actually good, but the majority ends up failing at it. I play what I like, not what's op for the current meta.

    Man, in my experience (even before S5), dragon was severely underrated. My teammates would often try to shove a lane towards an inner turret (and then try to take it) as the enemy team was respawning, instead of going for the dragon which would be nabbed without the enemy team capable of responding to it. My friends have gotten better about securing dragon in S5, but its still like pulling teeth. When I'm not jungling, they still see two kills in the bush as more valuable than the dragon in the hand.

    I was always bad at teamfighting, the positioning. As a tank when to engage or disengage. And i only knew how to play a few champions although having all champions available. What helped me getting better at this game is playing Arams. You learn how to dodge skillshots while farming (sidenote: i got a bit worse than before at farming while still having about 60-80 cs at 10 minutes). And give yourself little challenges for example: every minute a minion kill or focus the carry all the time, no matter what or taunt the enemy team with a little ctrl+2/ctrl+3 so they might focus you in the next teamfight if you doing bad. Bad elo players tend to do so.

    What it also a pretty common mistake it the poor use of flash/ignite/ghost etc. I find myself playing a ranked Bronze 4 game, and getting ignited with full health or find someone flashing to get a minion or just to stun me and then run away. People also use flash as a use of mobility just to get away, but it might be better using flash for walls or edges. One last thing : Never blame your team and flame it does NOT help.

    Hey, Foxdrop can you make a video about item builds? Go over the principles of good item builds. I tend to see great number of players who build glass cannon with no good durability, sustain or defence. I have played a number of games with my friends who are good to a point but think that building any kind of defensive item is for 'tanks'. Point is they can dish out high damage but don't last long enough despite good personal mechanics and tend to 'fall off' the longer the game last.

    Even as a really low elo player (lvl 22 on my main, not joking) All the things you said are so true! I have a friend who is Silver 1 ranked and we play together. Those games are less indecisive, whereas when I'm in solo queue my team often don't ping or even group together when we could win! I even had a friend who didn't know how to buy proper items. They literally bought Doran's stuff and pots for the first 25 mins of the game. They weren't trolling either... T_T
    Thanks so much for the tips, they are really useful and I really, really need to improve on cs-ing..

    The build thing is extremely prominent, I play a lot of soraka and I get a few people asking me about it and asking me what I build, I never know what to tell them because my build changes every game. Then I get the question "well what do you build first" .. well again that depends on the game. Build guides are a good outline of what you should be aiming for but I think low elo people are led to believe that it's set in stone

    One i find myself doing as well as other people, is this: Avery fed mid laner chasing a support through the enemy jungle, with no chance of catching him, later to be cought out by 4 people and be shut down, sometimes throwing games since it can happen at lvl18 leaving his team withio
    ut his carry and 4v5 for a minute or 2
