You're a life saver! My touchpad stopped working after a software update and I had no idea what was wrong. I thought I was going to have to replace my laptop or buy a USB mouse, but all I had to do was slide the touchpad button to on.
Thank you so much. My touchpad had stopped working after a windows update. I had deleted my Lenovo software a while back thinking it was bloatware, but once I reinstalled and used it, my touchpad was back to working. Awesome.
Thank you so much man, i was so sad about this since this pc is only 3 months old but apparantly i had pressed the touchpad button on the keyboard and was oblivious to its existence. Saved me tons of time, thank you
THANKS SO MUCH!! When I say I was struggling for days I literally never once thought that there would be a disable button in the settings because I hadn't turned it off LMAO
This helped me alot thank you . Only my keyboard was working so I appreciate the beginning explanation . For me rolling back my mouse driver and updating again worked .
I am not that tech savvy, I can do most things, but my brain never comprehended 'There is a button that disables the touch screen'. My cat had walked on my laptop and must have trod on it and I was wondering if I had broken it. Thank you for your help
Oh my gosh, I had gone over every fix for my unresponsive touchpad, and the very first thing you mention is the F key which I hadn't yet tried.... it fixed it... 🤣🤣 (for me it was F10)
Here is how it worked for my asus laptop, I opened the bios and couldn't find the touchpad settings, so i quit the bios and restarted the laptop then the touchpad worked again!
the uninstalling driver thing worked once, happened again, did the same thing, this time the driver didn't reinstall on restart. it's just not there, yes i clicked "show hidden devices" update: it's been a month and randomly out of nowhere it's back, the touchpad works. i have no idea.

Thank yoiu so much. I had myself disabled the trackpad by using the key along the F function keys. And you had smartly covered it. Tons of blessings!
