This highlighted some things I was doing wrong. Very cool video Antonio.
Step 3 at 2:32. Great sequence and tips!
Real Men Real Style Haha! Ironing Man!! Never thought of it! Amazing video Antonio!
Real Men Real Style thanks sir , it will help me out ....
I never imagined a video on ironing shirts could be so informative. Even the order you iron the shirt in makes far more sense than what I used to do. Great video!
wow- I've been doing it right the whole time- Thanks mom!
Yeah, likewise. Too bad so many parents don't teach this stuff to kids.
@@JRSnyderJrAZ like me :) its why im here
W mom.
🙌 Woo! Go mom!
Total lifesaver! Especially with the steps! Used to go in the exact opposite steps…
Shoulder part really helped!
Thanks Antonio!
There you go :)
@@RealMenRealStyle yeah step 5 the yoke is the key
Great tip about ironing dark shirts inside-out. I saw the process about dark pants (press, don't drag) and wondered if the same thing applied to shirts. Awesome work!
Great video Antonio.
A very important part of making clothes look crisp, yet it is not often talked about in detail.
You have hit the nail on the head with your straightforward video.
Keep up the good work.
Great seeing you here Saami! Thanks for watching.
Thank you for the video. This really helps, started wearing more dress shirts recently and ironing has been a pain in the butt, so thank you very much!
well its pretty important for me to get the perfect ironing of the shirt. these tips will surely help me out next time.... the most important tip was for the collar ironing starting from outside to inside as i was doing the wrong whole life... thanks for this amazing hack
Thank you for covering this topic! Often it seems like men's style bloggers like to talk about how to look great, but rarely cover the real work that it takes to do so. Well done!
Precisely, Sir. :)
Antonio, sir, you are the best! It's these little things that matter
Brilliant! I have always had those little creases at the collar ends and cuffs!!! That stopped today. On point! Thanks Antonio
Welcome!
These tips are very useful for somebody like me a (beginner). Who often pays money to the tailor for ironing a shirt and spend lot of money on it. While this video gives some really useful tips and justifies the ease of ironing . A really useful video by Antonio .
I would really appreciate Antonio for sharing such detailed explained video which covers each aspects of the topic.
Hoping him my best wishes for his new videos ☺ 👍
From:-Afeef Alam
Really useful video, Antonio!
I am always glad to watch your videos! Keep up the good work!
One of the most informative videos for ironing out there! Keep the coming!!
This article was required centuries ago. Good video with nice tips. Here's a pro tip. My dad had custom made a table with cushioning and cloth fastened to it, that made working on the shirt very easy. The only time we had to move a shirt was when we had to reverse it. After using that, iron boards look like a joke. I'm looking forward to another video on how to iron dress trousers, including pleated ones and yet another one for miscellaneous dresses. My mom encourages me to iron every dress, even inner vest and I go by her advice as the garment looks sharp and makes me look like a king.
Great video Antonio. I would add one other tip that I discovered and that is to iron the shirt from the rectangular end of the board. This keeps you from having to re-position the shirt multiple times while ironing. Men's shirts are boxy and don't really fit that rounded shape on the other end.
Keith Harris I just realized my ironing board has one of those "platforms" on the boxy side to rest the iron, effectively blocking me from ironing on that side. Fortunately my dear wife irons my clothes hahaha
It's a really useful video! More detailed than other videos that teach you the same thing.
I normally don't comment but what a great video Antonio. A very basic subject but essential nonetheless. I've been ironing my shirts for years and feel competent at it, but still your video gave me some new insights. Thanks for sharing!
Excellent video! I am very meticulous about pressing my dress/casual shirts and these tips have furthered my knowledge extensively. Thank you. Now, if we can see a video on properly pressing pants.
wow, this was really helpful. my sisters graduation is this saturday and my dress shirt was really wrinkled now it looks like new. Thank you so much.
Antonio you're a real man! Thanks for teaching me how to iron my dress shirts.
I'm loving these useful tips. Please keep them coming Atonio.
This video really helped me the night before an event. Thank you so much! Really love your videos!
Awesome - glad you find it useful.
Loved the tutorial Antonio definitely keep them coming
Great video! My parents taught me this and it really pays off in your presentation.
This is essential knowledge for any man, thanks! Will definitely share this.
Now that is how you iron like a Boss, Step 5 and 6 are new to me and i like how you make sure on these little details that make a difference
right timing!i was thinking to request this video today.thanks you're great
loved it!! I learned to iron by myself since I was twelve, and I got to say I did do a few steps right :P
thanks a lot! :)
Right on the money. Great content Antonio.
You are my hero!Just make it look so easy, thanks for posting!😻
This is a GOOD basic ironing instructional. Thankfully, I had a mother who was very particular to teach me how to iron.
I disagree about the starch damaging the fabric. Before I was retired I used to have my office shirts professionally laundered. I always specified heavy starch. I liked my shirts to look extremely crisp and rigid. These shirts lasted for years with no deterioration of the fabric at all over the years. As a matter of fact, I STILL am able to wear many of those shirts.
Now, I use spray starch at home. If the spray starch leaves a residue, just a couple of swipes of a cloths brush will cure that and the shirts still look great!
Thank you so much. I've been searching for such video for a long time.
Again, great useful video. Alll i did so far was throw in the shirt in the dryer to get it wrinkle free. ironing always took too much of my time. There is always huge difference between wrinkle free and an ironed shirt. thanks for this step by step guide which stramlines the process. keep them tips coming
These tips will make my clothes look better! Thanks!
Love these type of videos! Thanks!
Great video Antonio! Thanks for making it clear and concise.
Thanks for watching Lance!
wow! now this video is really what I need right now. I have an event for best students of the year and I need a great looking shirt. my mom is busy working and I hate to say it but I don't know anything about ironing. she never wants to teach me. now I'll try to learn and impress her and help her out, meanwhile learning essential life knowledge. thanks Antonio!
Have been waiting this since I subscribed. Thanks! =)
THANK YOU FOR THIS OMG I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE !
Awesome Norton.
Great tips! I will be putting them to use!
Aw man, I needed this yesterday lol
Awesome video! Very useful and practical.
This came at the right time. Yesterday only I was ironing a shirt and wondering when RMRS would be putting up a video on ironing. Please do trousers and jeans also 🤗🤗
Very useful video! Thanks Antonio!
Thanks for the refresher. This is very helpful as I am far to reliant on permanent press.
I've literally never ironed my shirt shoulder. Simple but certainly easier than trying to iron the front up to the shoulder. Thanks for the tip!
You're welcome Michael!
On the question of starch, I will wash all my shirts together. I then mix a solution of bottled starch and water (ratio adjusted to wanted stiffness) and soak the shirts before hanging to dry. Iron with a steam iron (lots of steam) for perfect crispness. The soaking permits uniform absorbtion of the starch. It also means using less starch than a spray can and is MUCH less expensive! Roughly $3 for a half-gallon that will do 20-25 shirts at a heavy starch level.
You really are serving the cause Antonio ! Be sure to have me following you till my 50's..
loved this video. Thank you !!
Needed this! Thanks a lot!

Antonio you have perfect timing The video notification came on my phone while I was ironing a shirt that was giving me a hard time👍👌
Excellent! Thank you!!!!!!!
Great video!
Great video. I've been doing what you've described for years except for ironing from the outside in on the collars and pockets. This makes so much sense!

Great viddy, great guy, great channel!
That's the very thing I wanted. Thanks
Proper good video. Great advice :)
About spray starch - it tends to make residue that dries and you have to brush it aside but in my experience it significantly extends the life of the shirt, I use it on all dress and even casual shirts (I don't own any shirts that don't need ironing). I've had shirts last a decade or more from this - the starch improves resilience especially in wear points (elbows, etc.). I've also found the effect lasts far more than just a few hours - even into the next day, I've passed out (after a big night) and woken up the next morning and people wondered why I put a freshly ironed shirt on while the rest of me looked like I'd been hit by a bus.
The key is the type of starch - a simpler, more traditional spray starch is usually quite superior to a more artificially made one (don't know the US brands for this though).
Thanks you!
Awesome!!
I really enjoy his videos

Great video. Question, would using a pressing cloth over starch prevent the iron from getting damaged?
