Thank you very much. The iron is a discontinued model a Phillips Azur 2500W quick calc release… it was about £80 and I’m sure there will be an improved version 🤝
Thank you. Yes I sometimes get that. Is the iron up to temperature? Let it get up to temp . Fill with tap water and put on the hottest setting until all the water has turned to steam and blast the steam button frequently ( do this twice) and hopefully it may clean it. 🤝
No to your collar technique. I flatten mine out and iron it flat. I wear my collars down and ironing them flat keeps a nice roll in the collar and allows it to stay flat if you leave a button or 2 undone. Thanks again, another great video
It’s important that you do your collars how you like them ! I still manage to get a roll ironing the way I showed as I don’t press the neck edge, just the outer edges… I should have explained that🤝🤝
@@rhodeswood5513I has been so many years, I wonder if I still have them?...! It's an official Martha Stewart brand, and somehow that entailed it coming with detailed instructions. She recommended ironing both the inside and outside of dress shirts, which is perhaps a bit much... though some of my shirts have been so wrinkled that I've actually had to do that.
Steam iron is just too hot for the pique fabric of the polo shirt. The fabric of polo will not have much wrinkle as dress shirt does. A steamer is more than enough to keep the polo shirt wrinkle free. The rib collar of that kind of polo shirt is subject to deform. Buy polo shirt with a structured shirt collar.
The method used for ironing the collar is impressive. The collar is everything with a shirt. Thanks!
🤝🤝🥂
I enjoy these ironing videos. Always something to learn.
Glad you like them🥂
yours' videos are extremely useful to me. I love this ironing as well as how to tie a tie without damaging the collar. many thanks
You are welcome 😊
I tend to iron my shirts/t-shirts/polo shirts inside-out. That way you don’t fade the colour!
I like mine faded and worn in… new ones I use a pressing cloth, but the next season they get relegated to the worn in pile🤝
@@rhodeswood5513 Fair point!
More videos, please! This one of the best channels of UA-cam!
Thank you very much🤝
Turn your polo shirt inside out to prevent discouleration of certain colours from ironing. Works great for me!
Always enjoy your video’s 👍
That's what I also do, in almost all my T-Shirts and Shirts.
Me too. And it actually seems like a slightly awkward way to iron the collar I just do it on the end of the board section by section.
I always learn something from your videos, thanks very much.
Glad to hear that!🤝
I’ve been waiting for a video like this for years, thanks for the advice!
Happy to help🥂
I would like to say thank you for your infomative videos. With your videos I lern more about men´s clothes.
Happy to hear that!🤝
I always try to remember to turn the collar up before washing to stop it creasing in the wrong place.
Thank you for sharing this video. It is very helpful.
Who says that you cannot teach an old dog new tricks? One for the ironing day I reckon. Thanks Jeremy.
You’re welcome 🥂
Thanks a lot , needed this for a job interview 👍
You sir are master of the iron👍
I’m still finding ways to get better results ..quicker 🙏🙏
I love your tie and pocket square 😄
Thank you 🥂
@@rhodeswood5513Do you hope to have the tie in stock again soon?
I think it will be a couple of months 👔🤝
This is terrific.I have never ironed one like this. That’s why they look like they do!! :(
Going to up my game and try it this weekend..🙏👍
🤝🤝🥂
These videos are fantastic and extremely useful, thanks! Now I find myself needing a video on the iron model you use, mine pales in comparison 😅z
Thank you very much. The iron is a discontinued model a Phillips Azur 2500W quick calc release… it was about £80 and I’m sure there will be an improved version 🤝
Excellent videos! Do you have a video on how to iron chinos?
Not as yet….. but yes, that’s a good idea🤝
@@rhodeswood5513 Excellent ! I never know the correct way. I'll look forward to seeing it.
I enjoy your videos. I’ve had trouble with drops of water leaking out even when there isn’t too much water in the reservoir.

Excellent as always.
Thank you 🥂
Nice video! Thanks for sharing 😊
Today's my graduation and i really needed to learn this😅
It would’ve been greater if a video if you should given a little advice on the temperature to use for polo shirts, thx!
Will do!
What brand of cologne on the shelf? Great video 🙌
They are all by Santa Maria Novella 🙏
Quick question, really enjoy your channel btw. Is it totally a non starter to wear a cummerbund and waistcoat at the same time?
Thank you… yes ditch the cummerbund and keep the waistcoat🤝🥂
Great video of interest! ❤️🇬🇧❤️🇩🇪❤️
Glad you enjoyed it!🥂
I always iron a polo shirt inside out , as it goes shiny on the outside when ironing.
It’s one way of doing it
That polo shirt did not need ironing 😂
Well done!
Thank you 🥂
Nice Person, perfekt Work
Just what I was looking for. Bam
You wear the collar up on your polo? Like Fonzi on Happy Days?
Often I do yes…. Loved that show
@@rhodeswood5513 Awesome, I'm going to give it a try. Thank you for the reply.👍
Beautiful
Thank you 🥂
yeah! Thank you!
Thanks for this, ironing polo shirts is not my strong point especially around the collar.

真會玩,燙衫都要西裝夾裡!
Actually, my ironing board did come with instructions!
Love to see them🥂

A vertical steamer is better than an iron 😉
Don’t put one any where near a fine suit unless you like wrinkled seams 🙈
It only unwrinkles but it can't shape garments.

I just like them ironed and feel of freshly ironed for well worn beach ready polos… for new I’m sure a steamer works
I’m not sure I really learned the lesson well enough. Could I send you perhaps 10 or 12 of mine and watch you iron those? Each month?
Yes of course it’s a worthwhile lesson, and we only charge £150.00 per shirt😂
Ironing a Polo shirt!? What next ironing jeans?
Socks!
Jeans flat and yes Ironed!😂
@@rhodeswood5513 God bless you, do you ever relax? Incidentally I do find your videos very useful for the small amount of stuff I do iron.
@@mildandbitter thank you… I do relax , but find it difficult unless everything is in its place … I have a few cupboards that hide chaos😂
Ironing a polo shirt? I might consider ironing the collar, but not the whole thing.
💕🇸🇪
If Ld. Mountbatten did not handover charge, India would have been abound with gentlemen who can iron a dress shirt with this kind of deftness.
Thank you very much SIR
