    Hey skippy, if you don't really know what you're doing, you shouldn't be posting auto repair how-to videos. Those engine mount bolts have torque specs. You don't just tighten them by feel. Furthermore, as the lower engine mount is the weaker of the two and tends to wear more. faster. You should always brace the engine from below BEFORE beginning to remove the old top engine mount and support bar. ALWAYS. even if the lower mount is new. You should probably also familiarize yourself the actual correct names of the parts you're moving or loosening to access the parts your replacing including the correct names of the parts you're replacing. There's absolutely NOTHING under that hood officially named "this thingy". You referred to at least three different parts, by that term. If you don't know how to do it properly yourself, you have no business teaching other people how to do the job. Torque specs are extremely important ESPECIALLY on this repair. 🤬😡

    It’s not even so much the fact it is air cooled , it is more so the fact the warrior is only a 2 valve head compared to a 4V head on the DVX which really makes the difference in power levels. That said I’d still happily snag up a clean warrior if one pops up on marketplace and enjoy the hell out of it.

    I own both and the accord has a sporty feel with 195/60 or 195/55 tires but feels unstable. The Camry is planted and stable in all weather and rolls like a cloud.

    I had a 74 bus camper.The top popped up for additional sleeping and had a fold down bed in the rear. Bought it used in the 90's. Still had bug screens for all the front windows. Drove it to Nothern Upper Michigan and Canada to go camping.Since it had all the engine weight on the rear wheels, I could drive it on many 2 track old logging roads, it had good traction. 2000 CC engine, automatic.

    Where I live, Palo Alto California, You don't see many split window VWs. But when I do see one more often than not it's been restored like something from Gabriel Iglesias garage. But you wouldn't take a show car on a trip like this. My guess is that in the future the unrestored vans will be a rarity.

    Looks like a combination of hay bale twine and a really worn out tire that was about to blow anyway.

    Thank you!! I am a 70 year old woman with very limited income and savings. I was getting crazy quotes on this alternator replacement. My 73 year old friend was able to change out the alternator with me because of your very detailed and well-made video. We struggled with the belt tensioner screw placement. A lot of expletives later, I was able to get the screw in there as my hands are much smaller than his, holding the alternator in position with my left and lining it up, screwing it in with my right. Hallelujah!! No more battery light! We could not have done this without you! XOXO

      lol okay so I did 100% wait too long to replace my tires. My wheels were misaligned and from the outside I couldn’t see that the tread on the inner half of the tire was so low. But I also want to state, that was bailing twine I ran over, it wasn’t one of the bands from the tire. I don’t blame you for thinking it was a band off of the tire, the tech at the tire shop thought the same thing until closer inspection and also said it was bailing twine

    Toyota seemed to have two different versions of the 1MZ-FE V6, one for the Avalon, ES300 and RX300, and another for the Camry and Sienna. Because on this and the Sienna you got 194hp, on the other cars you got about 200hp or more.

  • @damilolaakanni
    @damilolaakanni 9 днів тому

    I know we're talking about V6 Camrys and Accords, but I just felt I should put this out there. If you have to get a 4 cylinder Camry in this generation, be aware that those engines have timing belts. If you don't change them as you should, they'll snap without notice. I' ve heard some people say that it's not an interference engine, so unlike the V8s, the engine won't destroy itself.

    I have both a warrior 350 and a dvx400 which is basically a kfx400/ltz400 with different plastics. Obviously, the dvx is much faster, but the warrior ia heavier and takea off road trails better. Both have been great to me the many years i owned them

    I have a 2001 Honda Accord but it looks way way better than that one . No comparison. But then again, I dropped a lot of money into it and I’ve had the car for 18 years. That car has never did me wrong very reliable and made very well . And still runs like a champ today I’m passing new cars on the side of the road that are broke down lol and my car keeps going and going . I love my Honda Accord . Redid the whole car inside and out. And the reason I did that is, because I don’t want to get into car payments. The car is good enough for me in 2024 and it will still be going down the road 20 more years from now lol why get into car payments if I don’t have to on a new car is my moto . If you take care of something it will run forever

      Yes we still have this car and drive it often, it has been reliable with no major issues, currently at 120k miles. I really recommend the LTZ trim, it’s very comfortable and improves overall driver experience with all the added features, the interior may break down quicker than expected due to moderate build quality but nothing significantly detrimental to the car

    I had a 1977 bus sure was a fun vehicle. When I was like 22 years old I took off one summer on a cross country camping trip from Pa to Montana and back it was the time of my life. One of those things you can do when you are young and have no responsibilities to speak of. This reminded me of that trip and sent me looking at old photos. Thanks
