Best cheapest upgrade is the 140 emulsion tube and a 105 main jet I have a all stock bike with no gov and those jets and my stocky does 53 mph . 10 tooth clutch and a 54 tooth rear sprocket

my 224, 140 emulsion 95 jet, gov still installed, straight pipe, after market air filter gets up to 50+
Make sure to add better internals for that gov delete

If you are in California or anywhere urban, they aren’t actually legal most places except offroad. And they are low to the ground and hard to see which can be very dangerous.
Might I recommend an electric bike with reflectors and lights? In most areas those are legal and higher off the ground. Although they are quiet so a lot of reflectors and some lights is needed for riding at night, people can’t drive or see bikers at night, especially in urban areas.
try upgrading to the Autolite ar3910x spark plug for the build series. good cheap performance made my minibike run smoother

On another note what would you recommend doing to a stock pred 224 to make it a bit meaner? Carb options? Not tryna dump a ton into it tho
You could remove the governor on the outside of the motor. Ugpgraded carburetor like the vm22, and header pipe or muffled exhaust with the correct straight chain gears could hit 50+. All of that should cost no more than 250
@@jonkucer5989@danielnunez3518 do what he said and if you still wanna go faster get yourself a cam with more lift but you're gonna need rods so you don't gernade the engine and a flywheel so the one on the bike doesn't explode gopowerports and obswarehouse both are highly trusted and have kits for a bunch of small engines
