Actually, this is a good video but it doesn't render justice to the bike. In terms of offroad, it is very capable. You can really go on gnarly terrains with that little thing. It is true that 12 HP doesn't allow to do hard offroad but is perfect for anything else. I did think about purchasing a CRF instead but one of the real plus of this bike is the tank. It allows you to travel b4 to reach your favorite trail. Also, this is far more confortable than a real offroad and you can have some luggage on the rear without problems. It is perfect if you are not interested by top performance but by practicality. You can go to your local supermarket, go to your favourite trail and even do camping. This is a perfect swiss knife for day to day in nearly all places as long as you don't drive above 90 kph.
Great review! Clear, well spoken narration! Besides a 800GS, 400 TransAlp, Zongshen ZSM200, a Yamaha XTZ125 and a 125cc scooter, I have an identical 2015 XR150, here in South Africa. Like most of the others, it's used for learner rider training, including out-rides and mini adventures but the XR is my daily rider and best all-rounder due to it being very light on fuel (almost 100mpg) being light and maneuverable in traffic and cheap to maintain. I weigh 75kg, so it's quite happy to run at (an indicated) speed of 90km/h all day (with regular rear-end breaks😊) It has a nice, commanding riding position and is quite nippy but I've been unexpectedly outdragged from the traffic lights, by the odd driver of a hot-hatch or V8 powered pick-up, that couldn't resist showing off their vehicle's speed. I can highly recommend this li'll XR150, which, if you recall the Honda's of the 70/80's, I feel should rather have been called an XL150.

Got my local Honda dealership on speed dial! I was in Mexico recently, I sat on one, really looked it over & really liked it. Felt light & nimble but yet not too small. Cool. I am in the USA and want to get my first bike next year. I wanted a dual sport so I could use it on the road, but also off road for fun sometimes too. Mine is very unreliable since I bought it from an official Honda dealer store in the Philippines. Problem it is just 10 months old but more and more problem came up and here noone is able to fix it... It is a China made bike not like the old Hondas. Here it is impossible to get any spare parts besides the engine oil and spark plug. I am 200 cm tall and 99 kg. For me it is very small. Any idea for alternative? I need a dual sport since we living in a rural place with rough roads and mountains.
I'm sorry to hear that, if your in the Philippines then the only true alternative if you want Japanese is the Yamaha Serow xt250 though it is much more expensive but it's a great bike
Yes but you can still buy used in great condition, I purchased a 2018 and I found it perfect as I'm older now and the CRF 250 and 450 are too aggressive for me now

It all depends how you ride the bike, but tyres after 5,000 km should be inspected thoroughly, as for chain, once it gets old it starts to slack and get loose regularly, that's how I know it needs changing
I wonder if this bike would be strong enough to handle me being 6 foot 2 inches 32 inch length legs and being 240lbs. No one in my state allows test drives either...
Hi buddy, I'm 6 foot so a little shorter and a tad lighter at 220lbs, the bike feels very comfortable, height is an easy fix with extra cushioning to make it easier to ride, weight is definitely not an issue if you ride solo, I hope that helps 👍

You're a funny dude, Baker.....
Thanks ☺️
These bikes are either not licensed or sold withing 30 days because of the rules of most states licensing departments.
I'm not privy to me those facts my friend but all I can say it's a great little runner 👍
You sound smitten 🥰
I am with this bike 👍

Thank you
Mine is very unreliable since I bought it from an official Honda dealer store in the Philippines.
@@Bykersam discontinued since 2020 January. :(
Yes but you can still buy used in great condition, I purchased a 2018 and I found it perfect as I'm older now and the CRF 250 and 450 are too aggressive for me now
@@Bykersam i would never buy a second hand unit in this country. Almost all is in a terrible conditon. No proper maintenance, overloading, no proper storage (rust because of the rain and shaded because of the sun). I am just into buying a brand new bike. But cannot afford now a more expensive than 100 000 pesos bike. I guess have no other choice than this bike.
What do you think for how many km last long the chain and the tyres?
Yo man I’m 6 foot 2 and 210 pounds about 95kg and I love the bike !
@@goodcatfilms4276 👍👍👍👍
Hey man is there any way I can make this bike faster? I bought one yesterday
Alas no, it's a small 150cc engine that offers a great output but is really very close to it's limits already, good oil (Liqui Molly) and a good irridium plug may help a little, but only a tad. Sorry I couldn't offer you better news 🙏
@@Bykersam thanks for responding
Привет,не перегревается?
👍
American version will have the Kickstarter correct???????
I think all have the kick starter as the battery is small so a kick starter as an add on is a must
@@Bykersam went to Honda here on the states.. dealer doesn't think the American version will have a Kickstarter...dang it
Sorry to hear that, but just wait until it arrives you never know
No kickstarter on the american version.
2023 rear drum brakes? Like what .....
Hi buddy, the XR 150 in Philippines is sold at $1,500 new yet I believe the ones in USA and Canada are priced a little more, with that in mind it is very probable that your bikes are offered with alot more as standard, if you catch my drift 👍
Where you at ?
Video was in Vietnam buddy, but I'm back home in the UK
Very nice sir
Thank you
Why did the specs say off-road when it’s street legal?
A bike can be street legal and still be off road ready buddy 👍
@@Bykersam OK I just assumed it would’ve said dual sport then
@@Cobe1976 Suzuki's always say "dual sport", which actually Suzuki was the first to use that term. But this Honda is a dual sport, yes. Good for both street and off-road use.
