You don't need to spend $28.4k on Apple to have these features You can just use a free/paid app to have each feature and save tonnes of money 00:00 fancy light commands You can just get Hue lights and use Google Assistant 01:24 Continuity Markup Just use Google Docs, or Google Sheets, or even Google Slides and everything you type will be synchronized on your Surface, computer and phone, and everywhere else where you're logged in 02:40 Apple Notes I admit that being able to instantly create a new note is awesome, but devices like the Samsung Note series let you do that too 03:55 Airdrop You can use FTP to access your phone/pc like it's a folder, even if was in another room 04:48 Universal Clipboard You can use Clipboard Fusion or Your Phone 06:08 Continuity Camera You can use Google Photos to access the album, or Google Docs to put it in a document 07:05 Instant Hotspot It's just putting the password once then it will automatically connect once you turn it on, I don't see this as an advantage over Android or Microsoft 07:44 Cross-Platform Messaging There's a web version or even an app for every social app, like web.whatsapp.com or web.telegram.org, as for sending messages, you can use Your Phone on Windows 10 08:31 Phonecalls from other devices Any smartwatch can receive calls, even MiBand, and you can make calls from your pc using Your Phone 09:55 Sidecar You can make your phone a second display using Deskreen, and if you want the mouse to appear on your phone but still use it as a phone, use DeskDock 10:18 Handoff You can see your recent tabs in the history, or send a tab using the share feature and it'll appear in the other device as a notification Google Docs can do that too, not only Apple Pages Another thing about Apple is that, you're limited to what it offers, if you want something it doesn't offer, you can't have it, whereas on Android and Windows you can just make it, using MacroDroid, Tasker, AutoHotKey or Power Automate I can use all of these features and more on my 16/2 phone and 2011 laptop, in the end, what you want to use comes down to personal opinion and whether you have the ridiculous amounts of money to spend on it or not.

This video is completely spot on. Apple is expensive as hell but nothing can top their software. It's crazy that the iPhone 6s from 2015 still runs the same ios version of Apple's latest iPhones. Beat that Samsung, OnePlus.....
1. Continuity Markup - you can edit PDFs in 100s of apps and if anything it looks better when you type it up rather than fill out forms by hand. 2. Apple notes - Notion, Google Keep, etc have web versions allowing you to access your stuff through any device anywhere instead of being limited to apple devices. Example: you go to the library and your laptop runs out of battery but the computers there only run windows. You now no longer have access to your stuff. 3. Airdrop - it's called bluetooth and it works between all modern phones, tablets and computers. 4. Crossplatform messaging is a thing on Windows too. 5. Handoff - chrome does exactly that on any device, regardless of whether it's an apple device or a windows device or a linux or you name it. Same goes for MS office and google's equivalent apps. In summary, you spent 28k on apple devices for the status and because you can afford it. There's nothing wrong with that but don't try to advertise some incredible exclusive features which can not only be found on any other device but often have better alternatives not-requiring you to use an Apple device.
yup, not exclusive at all. most of what he mentioned have very decent alternatives in other platforms that are not exorbitantly priced but at the same time has easier integration with other platforms. They just dont have the same marketing as apple.
Everyone just talks about how seamless and perfect the whole Apple Ecosystem is, but no one acknowledges the fact that, to set up these devices to work in sync, its a "a bit of a faff"
Big fan of your videos. I'm not convinced to spend that much to increase my productivity for few seconds, I think this is overconsumption. Buying all these products may look like an investment to you but, 90% of people buy Apple products on credit cards because they don't have enough money. and later they realize the productivity problem was due to their behavior.

Im one of your newest subscribers Ali. You are very good at what you do. I like how clear and simple and straight to the point you explain. I dont get tired listening to you. Thats a great thing. thanks bro.
Became a big fan recently and have to agree. I'm all Mac for all of my creative work and love the productivity I gain by being in their ecosystem. Saves TONS of time. Best wishes, great video.
Are you trying to justify to yourself some expenses ?
The moral of this video is he likes seamless experience 😂😂
You don't need to spend $28.4k on Apple to have these features
You can just use a free/paid app to have each feature and save tonnes of money
00:00 fancy light commands
You can just get Hue lights and use Google Assistant
01:24 Continuity Markup
Just use Google Docs, or Google Sheets, or even Google Slides and everything you type will be synchronized on your Surface, computer and phone, and everywhere else where you're logged in
02:40 Apple Notes
I admit that being able to instantly create a new note is awesome, but devices like the Samsung Note series let you do that too
03:55 Airdrop
You can use FTP to access your phone/pc like it's a folder, even if was in another room
04:48 Universal Clipboard
You can use Clipboard Fusion or Your Phone
06:08 Continuity Camera
You can use Google Photos to access the album, or Google Docs to put it in a document
07:05 Instant Hotspot
It's just putting the password once then it will automatically connect once you turn it on, I don't see this as an advantage over Android or Microsoft
07:44 Cross-Platform Messaging
There's a web version or even an app for every social app, like web.whatsapp.com or web.telegram.org, as for sending messages, you can use Your Phone on Windows 10
08:31 Phonecalls from other devices
Any smartwatch can receive calls, even MiBand, and you can make calls from your pc using Your Phone
09:55 Sidecar
You can make your phone a second display using Deskreen, and if you want the mouse to appear on your phone but still use it as a phone, use DeskDock
10:18 Handoff
You can see your recent tabs in the history, or send a tab using the share feature and it'll appear in the other device as a notification
Google Docs can do that too, not only Apple Pages
Another thing about Apple is that, you're limited to what it offers, if you want something it doesn't offer, you can't have it, whereas on Android and Windows you can just make it, using MacroDroid, Tasker, AutoHotKey or Power Automate
I can use all of these features and more on my 16/2 phone and 2011 laptop, in the end, what you want to use comes down to personal opinion and whether you have the ridiculous amounts of money to spend on it or not.
Yes this is called smartness
Just Wow
Can we all just calm down about the amount he spent on products for productivity. At the end of the day it's all relative to our salaries. Yes $28K is a lot to many people with average income but if you have an above average income with no dependents this is a fairly standard purchase especially if he is going to claim many of these as work expenses for this tax year. FYI thanks to you and his other 1.7 Million subscribers this is a drop in the hat and I guarantee he will get sponsors that hand out freebees.
Yup exactly. Plus he’s literally a millionaire, with each new Apple product he makes a video on he earns back money, and he prolly gets a lot of free PR packages that reduce costs for other areas of his life
I feel like the whole video was a justification to your inner conscience for spending all that money towards increasing apple's capital. But I agree on everything you said in the video me being an apple fan boy myself but I guess a bit of criticizing is always fun
@Donny Kale I'm sorry but I'm just 17 and am still in highschool so.....

Me who is in an apple orchard: ahh yes
The real reason is because he enjoys using quality tech and gives him a peace of mind, that intern makes him more productive than when using other similar products :).
So basically apple ecosystem can make a desk person more productive and couch/bed person more lazy.

It’s not the seconds or being more productive (comparing windows has productive advantages too) but it’s just cool and nice how it works. It feels good, that’s the Apple psychological benefit.
Windows devices have some of these features when paired with a Samsung device. They're not as seamless as Apple yet. But they're getting there.
or with any android devices really, onenote for exemple is the same as apple notes except its much better and goes on every brand of device you can think of probably (+it's free)
@@amilliev.6131 And it is a corporate spy device that collects 20 times as much information from you than an iPhone... The phone is not the product there, YOU are. That is why it is free and that is why something being "free" in the tech world should send your alarm bells ringing.

@@kungolaf4499 If you think that Apple doesn't collect as much data as Google, you're delusional.
@@NuryPPanaligan It would be an unprecedented level of scam of enourmous scale if that was the case. There was a third party investigation into an Android phone and iPhone phone from the same year. The Android collected 20 times as much as info as the iPhone for personalization intentions and trans-app data transfers. *HOWEVER,* the iPhone collects more information in different categories - that data is used to serve you.

I have something real big I would like to introduce you to
This video was GOLDEN! a lot of helpful tips that will help my productivity. Thanks, Ali!
The reason why I wont be spending on apple products:
1)I dont have this much money(unemployed fresher mechanical engineer).
2)I dont like Apple.
Surface - Excuse me..Why am i here!!!
Ah just so you could point out what i don't have.
Lol
Wow i cannot believe how ali's look changed from " i am trying to know everything in life" to "YEAH! I AM THE SUPREME PRODUCTIVITY MASTER",after the haircut.
It saves 3 seconds of my time every time, and then I successfully wasted these 3 seconds by appreciating this feature. Savage.✋
That iMac is shaking on the table
This guy is living in 2010. Almost everything he mentioned can easily done with google apps on windows and android.
which ones?
exactly !! one note (and all of office) is also synchronized on all devices and better than apple notes, the all device messaging thing is also a thing on windows/android, the clipboard function ALSO works on windows you just need to activate it in you settings !!
i was searching for this comment : yes apple is good and very user friendly but the features mentioned arent exclusif to apple at all !
@@jensen6211 all of them except the copy paste and the hotspot
@@rasheneoueslati7084I think you can do universal clipboard with KDE Connect or Pushbullet.
My iPad acts as a napkin. Ali's flex is getting better with time.
fun fact : the surface laptop (and all other windows pc's) does have the clipoboard function, i have one and an android phone, you just need to activate it somewhere in you settings !
you can also use de cross-platform messaging feature
maybe it doesnt work with your windows because you havent tried it or you have an iphone (the apple systeme is made so you buy more apple products so its rarely compatible with windows)
(the other features mentioned most likely also exist on non-apple devices (except for dropbox i think) but i don't know of them tho cause im not a pro in tech things)
Thanks, Hit me up @

Yeah apple sponsor him, he's good at persuading people to buy your products
Coz you have it
Says the guy who wears 3 watches, one in each hand and the other in his ankle 🙄
😂😂
How apple cheekily sponsor Ali videos and make him advertise👌
Short answer: to flex.
Big fan of your videos. I'm not convinced to spend that much to increase my productivity for few seconds, I think this is overconsumption. Buying all these products may look like an investment to you but, 90% of people buy Apple products on credit cards because they don't have enough money. and later they realize the productivity problem was due to their behavior.

this is probably one of those times I think you're capping. if you're being true to yourself you'd know that these small conveniences don't really mean much and can easily be substituted. definitely not comparable with the cost. but as you can clearly afford it I see no problem in buying things for your enjoyment
