Wierdly enough, the original voice actor for Claptrap (David Eddings) wasn't even invited to voice Claptrap in Borderlands 3 and not in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.

Because accordingly to David Eddings in his twitter, Gearbox couldn't afford him, and that´s why he didn´t replayed his roll in the third game and if gearbox is also involved with this visual diarrhea they won´t be able to afford him again. Ironically they can afford all of those celebrities who doesn´t even come close to the characters.

Seriously? In Borderlands 2 not one of the original Borderlands characters are under 30. In Borderlands 1, Lilith, Mordecai, Brick, Roland and Tannish ALL looked at least late 20's. Borderlands 2 takes place 5 years after Borderlands 1, meaning they would be in their early to mid 30's.
I'd like to hear your choices to play these characters. I personally think they did a great job at getting actors that actually resembled the game characters.

They diverged from the game’s plot a bit. They have Lilith go back to Pandora when she was much older; she was never a vault hunter, just a bounty hunter on Promethea. I don’t want to spoil the rest in case anyone wants to watch it lol

Cate Blanchett would have been a great choice to play Lilith 30 years ago. The only problem is that was 1994 and the Borderlands series didn’t exist yet.

No hate towards Jack Black but he is not meant for Claptrap all I can hear is a robotic sounding version of Jack Black. Why not cast the actual voice actor for Claptrap it's not like you will see his face anyways. Jack Black is perfect for Po cause he actually sounds like Po but Claptrap isn't a right choice for him on top of all the other casting choices they made. I love this game and I'm sad that they made these poor casting decisions that will make the movie flop but who knows.

ngl I dont like any of the casting choices of this movie, but especially Kevin hart as Roland (too short, not heroic looking) and Jamie lee curtis as Tannis (she's not old in the games wtf)
Not to mention Roland in the movie is more comedic and less serious as we saw in the trailer. Also in the lore, Roland is supposed to have already passed away when Krieg escaped from the lab, so seeing the both of them together is mindboggling lorewise

But you can play as Krieg and BL2 and Handsome Jack only kills roland like halfway through the game. That means Kreig takes plenty of quests from Roland

B) But if it had to be live action...Better Casting: Roland - Terry Crews (without the humor) Tiny Tina - anyone smaller, funnier, who looks like her and sounds like her. Mordecai - First you'd have to be smart enough to put him in the movie. But DJ Qualls could look the part. Tannis - Not an old lady. (I love her, but this was bad casting) Claptrap - David Eddings (Why the F would you use Jack, when the genuine guy only has to voice the character?????)

No disrespect to who they cast but there are not the right choice to play this characters not by a long shot and for someone who has been playing borderlands for a long time like many others I can only speak for myself but I feel as if this movie is going to be a flop and is not going to do the games justice.

The difference is between night and day. The movie makers obviously never played the game… they probably watched a bunch of trailers and reviews before they made the movie.
Why would they hire Kevin Hart to play Roland, as if someone like Terry Crews doesn't exist?

Why does the movie version of Tiny Tina seem like a brat that doesn’t want to be there vs the fun, psychotic, funny, and wonderful Tiny Tina in the games.
The way I see it, you got two options:
A) An experienced acting cast that sort of look like the game characters but can actually act the part.
-or
B) A list of people who are picture perfect version of the characters but have little to no acting experience and can't act the part to save their careers.
One would be met with mixed reviews, the other with *disastrous* reviews. You already know which is which. At this point, beggars can't be choosers.
This looks like low quality larping, instead of an actual probably multimillion dollar film.

Man they did Tannis dirty in this movie. They replaced young Tannis in her 30s by a geriatric version of her. Whoever was in chard of the cast needs to be fired and never work in the film industry again.

The "Tina Tina" actor appears to be spot on. It's unfortunate, they should have casted familiar unknowns for most of the Borderlands characters; the film could have been a cult classic, like Tank Girl, starring Lori Petty (1995). I would have preferred Gina Davis, Tilda Swinton, Lori Petty, or Ruby Rose, instead of Cate Blanchett for Lilith.

It is important to ensure old actors continue to get cast in movies… For roles they are right for.
