You made such gorgeous stencil and foam stamp designs, and the washi tape designs are amazing, the layers, textures totally yum🤩 thanks for this fun collaboration Keren💕
hi Keren! Can you make a video showing how to incorporate die cuts into mixed media please? I have cut many little die cut patterns but i am not sure what tondo with them ..
Hi Sabrina, yes I have videos like that. Some are public like this one: ua-cam.com/video/e0TPkpTfA5A/v-deo.html or this one: ua-cam.com/video/qS2qf9mZnBw/v-deo.html and some I teach to my members. and Gerry's video is linked at the end and in the description
Keren thanks for all the time and effort you put in to produce these wonderful videos. The ideas here are so creative and I love this new way to use my gel plate and acrylic paint pens. I am also really loving the shorter format videos as I am a very impatient person and find it hard to focus for more than 10 or 15 minutes.
Amazing! I have my son old cards, music sheets, letters, photos, and might be the nice way to preserving some of his old stuffs... I still kept few of his ties, and favorite jacket...Thank you Karen.🙏🌼💕
yes it is, there are some beautiful things you can do with them.... even use an old passport of his as a mini journal and put things in it.... sending love 💛
Everyone else has said a lot about your stunning work n out of the box ideas are mind blowing . I have no words to say how beautiful your work is . I watched so many videos one after another , since yesterday ....i was having difficulty closing eyes cuz i was not sleepy at all . Tirelessly n continuously i am watching all your work since yesterday . It is so amazing , though i dont have these materials in my area but its amazing work . Love you great work n how brave you are . 💕 Love you lot for such positivity .
thank you so so much Samia! your words mean so much to me and I'm so glad they are helping you in your own artistic journey to tell your story through art.... thank you for your kind words of encouragement! take care!
Keren, hey - Remember a while ago you were questioning your channel place in the UA-cam universe. Your number of subscribers. Your number of views. Number of how many times you were down on your self because you did not know which way went which way. I have been praying for you. You sure understand how to keep on. I am glad you did. You make a difference, Keren. Blessings.
Oh Gorgeous! I experimented a month ago with tape and the gelli plate to make a card. I need to try again with all of your wonderful techniques. And the acetate idea 💡!!! Woot Woot! (Yes, love combining Cricut with Gelli Plate)
I have thought about a gel plate but really don't know all to do with one I guess. This is clever. Love the outcome of what you did. Using packing tape ,you get nice wide strips. Wonder if could use a non stick sheet.. might give it a try. Thanks for sharing..always enjoy how your mind works .
thank you so much Laura, you can use many things to monoprint, its all about trying and experimenting. test the non stick sheet and try. I've done it with deli-paper, rice paper, card-stock, printer paper or even magazines. There are some easier techniques to start with if you just want to experiment. I have a few on my channel
Oh boy, it really is time to start using my gelly plate! I really liked the results. I will use it for card making, so the glossy tape and the scotch tape will both give great results. And combining with foil… Thank you for your inspiring tutorial!
Uhmmm I haven’t yet… But I didn’t have a brayer until I got a set for my birthday this year. The biggest problem is making room on my table. I just have to do this soon!! Question: you use deli paper, correct? Where do you get it, Amazon?
ooooo Anneke you will love it! gotta make some room on the table. If you want to collage into your projects then using deli paper like this one is great: amzn.to/3EWyCvl however I also hear rice paper is great and I just bough some plain ones like this: amzn.to/3kKaFj9 and Joggles just started to sell blank rice paper too: bit.ly/3CVlyF3 However if you want to use the papers as backgrounds then I love using this paper, it transfers the best: amzn.to/3EUs1lk which you might have from cardmaking. Hope this helps
Me gustan mucho los washis y esta idea me ha encantado, porque cada persona puede dar su propio toque artístico. Mil gracias por compartir estas ideas tan maravillosas, Keren🥰🙏🏼
I came here from Gerry’s channel. Your ideas are beautiful, and totally different from Gerry’s beautiful ideas. I’m so happy to have learned these new techniques. I can feel my brain sparkling, racing to put your ideas to work. Thank you!
Oh thank you so much! Yes I have both my own designs of stencils and stamps at Joggles and if you create anything with them please tag me and/or post in my facebook group so I can see and share.
Wow. That's amazing. I just found your channel tonight and am now binge watching. Could you please tell me what paints can be used on a gell plate? I wondering about watercolors and watercolors. Thanks for sharing
thank you so much! you can use acrylic paints, Inks, distress inks or oxides, alcohol inks (but with a certain technique), watercolors could work but are not ideal. you won't get even paint like acrylic does. I did try it with watercolor powders but it needs another agent. you can watch that technique here: ua-cam.com/video/6f_cVCCFf8g/v-deo.html
oh wow Happy Anniversary!! that's a milestone! yes the Mica arrived, did I not message you to thank you? In my mind I totally thought I did LOL. but so sorry if I didn't! it arrived and its amazing! I can't wait to use it
Hi Karen, just clarifying a point I may have missed. You used the sticky side of the tape and adhesive acrylic down on the gel plate? And then used gel medium to adhere it to the page sticky side down?
I used regular acrylic paint on the gel plate. When it was dry, I took tape and placed it sticky side down on the gel plate to pick up all the acrylic paint on the plate. It sticks right to it. Then I used gel medium to adhere the tape (washi tape) to my art journal. It doesn't matter which side you use of the tape, use the one you like the pattern more as the gel will seal it all like glue.
You can definitely try. I love experimenting so let me know if it works. However if you don't have a gel plate you can use the back of a clear stamp or something with that consistency. It works well too.
🤣 You say Jerry, better say Gary instaid, as it is Gerrie. Great Techniques, you have the same style. Totally not my style, but I learn a lot from it. Bye 🤗
I've really tried to say it properly many times but I just cant get that Throaty G properly. Gerry is a good friend so she knows that most north americans don't say it properly LOL
These techniques have been around for quite some years, old but gold!
