What's Your Favorite Version of Vampirella?
Don't know much about Vamlirella, but she's hot so that alone drew me to read a few titles here and there. I know she has like 200 different crossovers though and that's always fun.
@kingjay7472 agreed shes hot and deadly say no more Lol
I mean the Jim Balent crossover with Catwoman was my first exposure to the character (other than seeing the pinups at the LCS) - but also loved Morning in America.
Her early-mid 1970's B&W large format mag- a classic series.
I got into Vampi in the Harris days back in the 90s with Vampirella Strikes.
Sasha, you're such a great interviewer. So calm and casual and great at keeping people at ease.
This was such an interesting interview! The subject was a lot more interesting and approachable than I expected. I tried reading Vampirella for a while ~10 years ago, but it felt like they kept making major changes every few months. This format sounds so much clearer.
31:43 A Buffy/Vampirella cross-over would be interesting 😊
I ve just started reading Vampirella and I've really been enjoying it. This interview was very timely and interesting.
Casually Comics, Your videos always brighten my day, so I subscribed!
NICE 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 … More More More of these type of interviews Please…Keep Up The Outstanding Work Sasha 🖖🏾
Vampirella is series I'm just getting into. I've always k ow of the characters but haven't dove into for some time. So thank you for the interview, watching now
I would strongly recommend starting with Vengeance of Vampirella by Harris comics. Also check out the later issues of the Warren Vampirella magazine
Yay Love Vampirella 🧛♀️ 🦇
It's a pity Sasha never got to interview Trina Robbins. I feel the two of them would have clicked and it would be a blast.
😊hi Sasha. I just wanted to say you did a fantastic job with the interview. I am getting accustomed to the Style of your channel and definitely comics that you cover you definitely present comics I have not particularly heard of and that’s great. I always like to find something new whenever possible. So far I have enjoyed all of your videos and your collaboration with Amanda are fun to watch. Keep up the good work catch you on the next video.😊
I like that you always challenge yourself, Sasha. As a fellow shy introvert, I find it encouraging. You always ask interesting questions. Good job!
Thank you. I love ❤️ your reviews 👍
No Thank you 🙌
That was fun! It's always interesting to get that behind-the-scenes perspective. And I enjoyed the dynamic between Tom, who's spent a lot of time "in the trenches" of the comic book biz, and Jeannine, who's still new to it. I think Tom is 100% correct when he says those old Warren magazines are kind of goofy. Which to me, is a big part of their charm. Those comics are very stylish and moody and gothic (and sexy, of course)...but there's definitely a tongue-in-cheek self-awareness at play, also. Something that seemed to be missing in some of the later revivals, which were more "Grr, Grim 'n Gritty Vampirella is Srs Bsns!" To which I respond, "C'mon, guys, she's a space vampire in a bathing suit, lighten up." But I'm one of those grumpy old fans who hates change, so don't mind me. 😉
Ohh I'm excited to watch another great interview! Looking forward to this!
Well done interview. Fun to hear and learn more about Vampi's past. Her possible future development was great to hear too. It would be amazing to write for Vampi! There is soooo much leg room still in her lore. I don't have any experience but have always wanted to write. Just no idea how to break in.
I have been a fan of Vampirella since I was a kid, but didn’t start reading her until recently and have tried to track down anything and everything available to read. Love her!! 🦇
this is so cool! I see Tom all the time at the Boston conventions. I'll have to mention this when I see him in a couple weeks.
New casually comics just in time for work wooooot
I always love Vampirella, getting love and attention, this will be a fun interview
i would like to know Tom & Jeannine's view of the Corman Vampirella movie.
You had a chance to call this interview with a Vampirella
I kinda wondered what Jeannine and Tom would say about the thousands of Vampirella buyers that never open the book. Would they be thankful that they bought the book, or disappointed in that they didn't even bother to read it? Thanks for doing this.
Cool 😎
Hey, Sasha! Please do a review of "Artesia" by Mark Smylie published by Archaia Studios Press!
i love vampirella, but she's one of those characters whose image is so strong and striking that people judge a book by its cover and never open a page.
Can you do a retrospective on tank girl? Its this 90s comic from britain. They have the live action movie on tubi and i actually think its really cool! Id love to hear what you think about it.
Phoo Action reprint can be pre-ordered at Amazon and Forbidden Planet. A TV pilot also... exists.
I hate that i have to stop the video and come back. This is seriously interesting bc NO ONE is willing to talk about Vampirella but Sasha.
Edit: No one is willing to talk about Vampirella WITHOUT 😈 💦 besides Sasha.
Me like Vampires
A bit of irony in that statement The only thing holding back an idea is creativity.
But multiversus have been The signs of lack of creativity.
Don't give me wrong I love multi verses But if you look At spiderman and how much he's been devalued over the years
To the point people disrespect peter parker so they can keep pushing their equivalent sonic ocs Has been annoying.
But still good interviewing all that
You are still a better girl than Vampirella!
His dialogue for Vengeance infuriated me. He has demons speaking in late 20th century American idiom - it just feels lazy.
