These young men are not only super talented it is such a pleasure to see them defending their dad. I have always been ashamed of the way people treated their talented father. He was great
This is the first time I’ve ever seen the twins. How amazing they have both their parents’ best features. But as they began to sing, I totally heard Ricky’s voice.. I’m in tears hearing them. Thank you🙏
Wow ! They are amazing sound like their dad. I always enjoyed Nelson music. and grew up with Ozzy show, great clean times. beautiful family. Honor your Father just the way your doing it. with the voices he gave you. 👍🤗
Lovely! My understanding is that Rick enjoyed a big success with Garden Party and that it gave him great satisfaction. I hope he’s dancing on the Milky Way in his next iteration of being. ❤ I heard this song playing over the speakers in my local grocery store this morning in rural MN, then came home and listened to it again. I wound up looking up the lyrics and the story behind them and going down a delightful rabbit hole! I always loved this song when I was a kid and now I have an even greater appreciation for it! What a legacy Rick Nelson left behind in his music, his art and in his children! 😃
A great remembering of their father & just as talented. The song was a great way for Ricky to let them know he was still a force & didn't need to be a teen idol anymore but a musician. Great talent passed down. It was great to hear it almost as tho their father was singing it. Nice nice job Nelson Brothers. Your father would be proud.
I was overseas in the Navy in the early 60's and one of my music idols was Ricky Nelson. It's great to hear his sons pick up his legacy and his music. Thank you Matthew and Gunnar, your Dad would be very proud of you two singing the songs that made your Dad a music icon ! Carry on !
I think they are great now, and they were great Dan. I bought their CD even though it’s scratched now, so it’s hard to play but I love them and I love their dad. I don’t understand why anybody would not like them. That’s just me. God bless them.
there is an interview of Rick Nelson explaining what happened that night .,.find it.,.,he didnt get boo'd off the stage.,but he sure wrote a fantastic song and a MUCH needed one for all of society.,.then and Now ! Much love & Respect here
Thank you for your work. I especially appreciate the story of the origin of the song. As a Buddhist, this song came to me in meditation this week. Now that I know the origin story? This is perfect. So grateful for the information.
Ok, so it was 1971 and they wanted Ricky Nelson to sing his "OLDIES" hits like Hello Mary Lou (1961) that was only 10 years old. Songs from 10 years ago are considered oldies ? Like asking Taylor Swift to sing 'Shake it Off' from 2014 would be considered old ?
I love the way the twins have done interviews about their Dad and the way they honor his name and his music. Boys to be proud of indeed!

I saw your dad once on a college tour. He sounded just like he was supposed to. Thanks for keeping his sound alive.

Rick learned that hard lesson. it did help him to reassesses his life and move in a new direction. It did hurt to lose him as young as he was
Thank you.
I love the line "middle finger in a velvet glove"...you are getting older too - deal with it.
Very awesome...
Great job guys you make your dad proud 🥲
They look like Ricky Nelson..Thanks
Fitting, since they were the ones that inspired their father to write the song.
If memories were all I sang I'd rather drive a truck. Powerful words.
