Spent the day listening to this first book. Just ordered the six book set in paperback. I will finish with those but I will likely follow along with the offered audio books here. The narrator is quite good with the accents and voices. Great work!
Once again I am enthralled with this story. I must congratulate you on the choice of narrator. The best story can be destroyed by bad narration. Adam Barr has done an extraordinary job with your story I will look for him on other audio books. Thank you both for jobs well done
True! I’ve tried recording a few books to tape for an elderly neighbor, and it’s NOT easy. This guys inflection, tonal changes and pacing is excellent. 👍🏼👍🏽
Scott you are an amazing writer! No boring part and Adam is amazing too he gave life in this book. Ps. I wont skip any ads and I implore everyone too not to skip ads. This is so worth it!
This is great so far! I actually grew up and live in this area. I know all these towns/cities and travel all these roads on a regular basis. Excellent story telling and geographically spot on.
Definitely a good book. I've been going through audio books lately and the voices are what messes it up. Fortunately for this narrator, he knows what's up. Good stuff. First audio book I've ever heard all the way through. Thank you sir.
Indeed. With covid, all the testing that has been going on has been allowing collection of worldwide genetic data. Several testing companies have ties to China so the chances of the dna being stored, made available to China is quite high. They literally have now have the ability to design the exact weapon described in this series.
Having read only one apocalyptic novel before, a journel I kept while surviving Katrina near New Orleans in '05, so much of this rings true and really hit some nerves. Truly enjoyed this. A masterpiece of 😱misery-💪victory😱-misery... Kept me on the edge of chair for hours!
Amazing story..( hopefully it stays just that) Great character development and if had the books, I wouldn't put them down. Just as I don't intend to stop listening!

Hey Scott, I just started this video/part. I’m really impressed with your work. Do you have a link to other projects of yours or is this your first? Thanks and Best wishes
@My next shot won't miss giggling at your title and saying thanks for the info. Trying to do these in order as best I can. Lol (ear bud technology, skipping on me. Still figuring that out while also good night, love ya! Haha)
The narrator has a very good voice (cadence/pitch), but my only peeve is that he sounds winded a lot. The constant sharp intakes of breath makes him sound like he is running. So far, the story is enjoyable and I am very interested to see how Isaac, Luke and their newfound friends and allies navigate this terrifying, new world.
I really like the story. I already going to part 3 . 🤔 However, I doubt that in real life the US wouldn’t have nuke the Chinese back to the Stone Age after the virus attack
In "real" life. Survivalist would barricade off entire "areas", they would fight and die heroically. Then the US military, (dying) would remove China from the map. - we have enough nuke subs out in the Pacific to do this alone). Then there are the survivalist (preppers), who have chemical suits and gas masks.... They WOULD win, but, at an almighty cost.
During the first book - part one: The virus was broadcast as being purposely released by the Chinese as a attack when there were still not that many in panic mode; in fact that news was shown while Issac’s foster parents were not even sick yet. Not to mention all the US navy ships and US submarines that are on constant rotating missions all over the world. None of the bases overseas or at sea would have been affected or even exposed to the virus. Additionally once the virus was confirmed every US military underground base and those US bases in other countries and US navy vessels would be under immediate lockdown and in total battle mode. There are more than enough US nukes just across bases in other nations and on ships and subs to destroy all of China many times over. So thinking the USA could be rendered totally helpless within a week, is simply not believable to me. Realistically once the US government knew the virus was an act of war by the CCP (China) the US president or (if dead) his/her successor would launch an all out nuclear holocaust on the Chinese mainland. Within 20 to 45 minutes Beijing would be a huge smoldering hole, along with many other large cities and Chinese military bases. Nonetheless I am really enjoying this book series. It is a wonderful escape from the real world which to be honest is not all that far from being a terrifying reality that is not far from this series.
@@jackdundon2261 there would be no survivalist left. The virus killed 96% of the people infected (everyone but Chinese decent population) and the few prevent that survived was left brain dead from the fever being so severe. We wouldn't come out on top from this. The closest we could get to that would be mutually assured destruction. Which is also what would probably happen in this situation. But if we are being realistic the Chinese wouldn't own up to an attack like that, they would send troops in after to "reclaim" land in purpose of the debt we have to them. This is a great book though, just to many gung ho people taking about what they (think they would like to) do. Unfortunately this is a pretty dark scenario that most would not see the end of.
Hey Scott. I fountvthis book series last year. But new uploads of it stopped. Now your Reupkoading them from the beginning. Just wondering what the deal was?? @@ScottMedburyAuthor Thank you. I'm a really picky audiobook listener. You do a great job switching characters, and your Narrator is terrific. Thanks for the feedback, I have someone working on spacing the ads better and having it so they only drop on chapter breaks. It will take a few days to get through all the videos.
I’m so enjoying them, I definitely don’t mind an ad? I’m just on part 3. Traveling in an RV for a week so amazing to get hooked on your series. I’ve only found a few of the Apocalypse series that I love! This is definitely one. Like that there’s no zombies. After 2020, wow! Are we all scared now?
Bullpup assault rifles are made with the magazine etc behind the trigger so the bullet travels the full length of the rifle before exiting the enď of the barrel making it more accurate while keeping the rifle itself short and easy to handle. The sa 80 and stayr aug etc are like this. Most rifles have the trigger and magazine about half way along the gun so the bullet travels less distance before it exits the gun so most assault rilfes have long barrels in front if the magazine etc. The gods made pandora as a curse to men and one god gave her curiosity which meant she would have to ooen the jar not box. The story is mistranslated and misunderstood. If all the evils of the world eacaped the jar and were inflicted upon man then why keep hope trapped in the jar should hope not be allowed to go free and also be inflicted upon man like the bad things. Keeping things in the jar keeps them away from man so you dont leave hope trapped. Its interesting. Very good vid im enjoying this.
