- In this video I show my process for removing dip from a builder gel base with peel base. I also show how I fill grow out and prepare for new dip layers. Hi, I am going to try this as well. How did it work for you? And after your builder gel, did you go straight to the base coat for the dip? Thanks so much? All the videos I find here always talk about builder gel with peel base and then dip, but I want the dip to last and to not use peel base. 😀

I don’t think I caught the reason/benefit of using the builder gel. Is it better for your natural nails? What’s the benefit of using the builder gel vs just using peel off base or your natural nail or just straight dip powder?

Peel base pops off my natural nail much quicker than with builder gel. The builder gel also protects the nail and helps it grow in healthy. When I used dip without it, every crack or chip would damage the natural nail. Bg gives more strength

Hi. I love your manís. Does double dip sell that peel base? Also so you did your bg and then added two coats of peel gel then you dipped correct?
Thank you!! And Double Dipp'd does, not Double Dip. I do my BG, a layer of no wipe gel top, then 2 coats peel base and dip
Great tips! Any advice for the peel base pulling up my gel top coat with it? My builder gel is still in tack but I have to redo the top coat
I usually redo the top coat each time anyway :)

Melissa, do you have a different brand suggestion for a gel builder since the Double Dipp'd gel builder is out of stock? Thank you.
The only other I have used is Morovan from Amazon and it's pretty good, though it isn't soak off. I've heard good things about Triple D and Dipalicuous but can't say anything from experience. Oh also heard IBD from Amazon works well!

Hey Girl! I've recently found your channel and love your content! Question about the builder gel... I've tried SO many different methods of using it and for the life of me... I can't get it to adhere correctly. It will start lifting immediately. Any tips?
Hello and thank you so much! Do you use a primer and a gel base before the bg? That can help a lot! If you do and still get lifting you may just need to prep more vigorously. By that I mean removal of invisible cuticle and buffing the nail plate to help remove the natural oils.

Thanks for your videos! I just came across your channel. I have problem that my dip is popping off, literally sleeping from my nails. Do you know what may cause this? Do I need to file over the Bg? Do I need to put gel top coat over the bg? Do I buff the top coat? Thanks

How would you remove the gel builder if needed? Soak like I normally would??
Yes if it is a soak of builder gel. It takes quite a bit longer to soak off and foils instead of the acetone bowl would probably help.
And is there a way to remove it before curing it?
Just check your builder gel... mine is file off.... that sucker ain’t soaking off lol... don’t ask how I know.

What if I don’t have a no wipe gel top coat? I did everything the same but didn’t know about that until watching your video 😳 I am popping off my dip from my BG today, this is clearly

Yes hopefully it does! And you can use gel base instead and just wipe off the tacky surface :)
