    Through the algorithms I came across your a/c at the weekend just gone (your Pink Marble vid was the first I watched).
    Happy I have stumbled across your as this is the best dip application I've seen to date.
    The way you explained how to file upwards, to keep the Apex in check, makes so much sense.
    I'll most definitely be saving this vid to my Nails: Dipping Powders list. 👌🏾💜

    I want to add nail stickers. Do you add the nail decor on absolutely last? After the last top coat dries? Thank you!

    • @MelissasManis
      @MelissasManis  4 роки тому +3

      No you'll add it before top coating. How you do that and what kind of top you'll use will depend on the type of decor you use

    Is it ok to cure the nails after you put on the activator? Then cure again after the top coat is put on?

  • @aprilstrong8196

    Ok weird question i really hate the dip top coats does it cause a huge issue to use a gel top coat instead?

    • @MelissasManis
      @MelissasManis  3 роки тому +1

      Not at all, you'll usually want to use gel base first then gel top. Just to help prevent peeling.

    Thanks for the very helpful video. Just starting out and I think the grit on my buffing block at the end was too rough maybe??? Any recommended grit or brand you use for that step?

      I use Double Dipp'd, but I can tell you that switching liquids is rarely an easy fix for dip flu. I got it a year into dipping.

    I’m so excited I am waiting on my Double Dipp’d liquids I just purchased the base and activator. I skipped the top because I suffer from dip flu and I feel like it mostly comes from top coat. But I’ve heard nothing but good things about these liquids! 😍

    When you use a peel off coat, do you still use the entire 5 liquid system?

    • @MelissasManis
      @MelissasManis  3 роки тому

      With peel base I only use the dip base, activator, and top. I'll use the bond on the nail before builder gel though.

    Am I supposed to put activator on my mail after filing before putting on top coat? I dip color three times one dip of clear activate file then top coat.

    • @MelissasManis
      @MelissasManis  4 роки тому +3

      Yes you need to activate again before the top coat. First activator application is to cure the base layers and dip, second activator application is to properly cure the top coat. Some liquids are different with timing regarding this than others.

    is there ANYTHING, i can use with a gel and acrylic allergy
    Ive never used dip powders but Im pretty sure all types of nail products will set me off. Makes me very sad as I got quite good at acrylics, then moved on to gel builders and had massive reaction, and remained allergic to all acrylics and gels after that :(
