Thank you for this video. I'm changing out the Catalytic Converter on my '03 1500 and need to remove the passanger side Torsion Bar so that i can drop the front end exhaust pipes out and get the new Catalytic Converter welded on and reinstall everything. This helped me out immensenly seeing how you got the Torsion bars out. 👍👍 Cheers from the Land of Desert Tumbleweeds and Roadrunners where Rust is a myth haha have a good day bud! (New Mexico)
@@10PetersonTyler thats exactly what I was thinking. I got an 03 ram 4x4 and im replacing a lot of the front end, I already done the steering rack and pinion, as well as both CV drive axles and sway bar ends, all thats left is the shocks and both control arms, and the sway bar bushings.
@@10PetersonTyler big job....thats putting it mildly lol yeah thanks for the info homie and your video helped me a lot in learning how to remove those torsion bars and keys.
@Dark Canuck im doing my 02 in the spring. Its not very rusty underneath for 19 years old but the box and cab corners are shot. Old truck left to die that i saved is going to be my work bench. Building a flat deck for it. Its a regular cab.
Sounds familiar. A client of mine was going to scrap this truck, so I put some work into it. Got a plow on it and use it for a winter beater. Good luck with your project. I will post a video soon of replacing the tranny cooling lines for cheap. Have a great day!
Dont forget to tell everyone you unhooked the bolt on the lower control arm? Witch at that point you mazle just change the control arm and be done for life lmao you missed a bunch of videoing of all the important things that have to come out tonchange
Hi Ian, thanks for watching. I didn't need to remove the lower control arm bolts. The bolt for the lower control arm is actually behind where the torsion bar fits into the lower control arm on these trucks. There for in order to remove the lower control arm you would have to remove the torsion bar first. There was nothing wrong with the control arm, and still isn't. Have a great day.

Cool Video! Thanks for sharing...😎👍
Your welcome. Thanks for watching
does the torsion bar have to come out in order to change out the lower control arm?
Yes. One of the bolts that go the bushings on the control arm is behind where you pull the torsion bar out.
