I loved a woman, and I was ready to change anything about me for her. She always takes me for granted, and she is always comparing me with others in terms of looks and dressing style, and money. I was never happy with her constant comparison with others and i know i am earning decent and my next goals are aligned with my timeline. Finally I broke up with her and moving according to my plan, now I am happy and prosperous. Thank god, I made a great decision to leave her, i will never regret that decision, so far in my life, that's the best decision I have made in my life. now I got back my peace and after reaching my next goal within a year, i will marry someone who understands me and respects me, i will definitely respect her and treat her with utmost respect.

Number 7 is a cardinal principle in handling women. I was a victim of a manipulative woman which I mistook for love and paid the price of servitude. Only when I was cheated upon did I realize my mistake.
Seems to apply to anyone and everyone not just "men doing with women" there is zero applicability to these wisdoms specifically to inter-sex relationships.
I’m 78 and have been wed to the same woman well over 50 years , we get along pretty well and are pretty bonded and matched I guess. One observation I would make is that it very easy when you try to do things right to be taken for granted.
This advice is good for both men and women. It seems to be most relevant for young people without children. I would add to number three 'use your time to judiciously on activites that bring you happiness, foster personal growth and satisfy your soul' AND take good care of any children you have created... again ' don't compromise your path for someone elses..' Parents give up their joy, time, health and sometime their very life - for their children. People do this for their town/ kin / families. Stoicism might be relevant for young people who are fooling around... (?).. but it is not the best advice for all people, all through their lives.

My friend base is at an all time low, mainly because the ones I have distanced myself from have shown their true colors to me and I no longer want to be a part of what they are about! For instance, if they are rude, critical and demanding of wait staff, the same will happen to you. Look for someone who is caring, polite and considerate. Remember physical beauty is only skin deep. If a handsome man or beautiful woman are rude, self centered, impolite, inconsiderate, their ugliness is to the bone. Run away from them.

I am married 38 years, got married at 21 years, up until now I had he'll from this women, she is bi-polar, two days it merry, 5 days it war, and I still don't know how it happens and why. In the romantic realm, one needs to be a bit more careful as hormones reduce one's rationality for a time. There too, the right people exist and one can perceive them. That right man or woman must also want to be with you. It's both ways if something has to work. Therefore, one needs to focus on being the right person as well.
I made many of these mistakes only to find out my wife was a covert narcissist. When she pulled off the mask my life was destroyed and she played the victim based of 100% lies.

I’m 78 and have been wed to the same woman well over 50 years , we get along pretty well and are pretty bonded and matched I guess. One observation I would make is that it very easy when you try to do things right to be taken for granted.

This advice is good for both men and women. It seems to be most relevant for young people without children. I would add to number three 'use your time to judiciously on activites that bring you happiness, foster personal growth and satisfy your soul' AND take good care of any children you have created... again ' don't compromise your path for someone elses..' Parents give up their joy, time, health and sometime their very life - for their children. People do this for their town/ kin / families. Stoicism might be relevant for young people who are fooling around... (?).. but it is not the best advice for all people, all through their lives.

Right people are everywhere. When we focus on being the right person, they automatically come to us. This is my experience. In the romantic realm, one needs to be a bit more careful as hormones reduce one's rationality for a time. There too, the right people exist and one can perceive them. That right man or woman must also want to be with you. It's both ways if something has to work. Therefore, one needs to focus on being the right person as well.
