I'm 60 years old and just started doing these exercises. They sure do target the calves that's for sure. I did every exercise and now I'm sore from the waist down from working areas I never used before. This is a great program and plan on sticking with it. Thank you :)
Thank you so very much for this! I have had debilitating plantar fascitis after a side impact car wreck and this is really what offered relief! Immediately! You are amazing!
Miss Catherine Elizabeth you are a wonderful teacher.I have flat feet and my feet were aching today. But after doing these excercises the pain is all gone. You explain things wonderfully like where to put pressure, where not and what are the wrong postures.Your videos are more helpful than my dance teacher.
Thank you this looked easy but when I tried it I was breathing heavy I loved it! I suffer with plantar fasciitis have been for years, but this is something I can challenge myself. Thanks for the other lady who lost her balance to show it's Not easy, however, it shows me that I will get better in time. I want to some day walk without pain. Though I am alot older infact I'm a grandma. Just want to keep exercising and feeling healthy. Thanks so much for your (both) time.
This is one of the first ballet exercises I ever did. When I first started--that was like, twenty years ago. Man, I hung it up as I just didn't have time anymore. I should get back into it. These women deserve all our gratitude for giving ballet lessons up here for free. Thanks, gals...
Broke my fibula near the ankle half a year ago and I line dance all the time. These exercises have definitely snapped certain muscles out of their "deep slumber".
Catherine thank you! Your flexibility stretches for dancers is my "go to" stretch video, and what I recommend to others before beginning any physical routine. I recently suffered a plantar fascia injury completing a series of grand jetés in class. When I landed (rolling through the toes) I heard a pop and immediately knew something went wrong! Luckily there wasn't a complete rupture, but only a tear. I am slowly integrating stretching, water bottle icing and rolling and now your great video towards recovering from this common yet debilitating injury. You're the best!
Fantastic, have had a Post tib/foot reconstruction. These are so easy to follow. The other foot going the same way so going to be doing these exercises.
Great for the feet as I sprained my ankle for more than a year and there's still a pinch. So this helps and hopefully it will get better and heal completely.
So good. I have a foot injury, ankle injury, and recently re-did some knee thing, all on the same leg. Some of it is a rotating compensation thing. The toe injuries recently happened wearing wrong flip flop for too long up and down some stairs while mopping. This was the best thing.
Thank you so much for this! I broke my ankle - both sides and had to have surgery. After 4 months of lack of mobility, I am now on the long walk back to a flexible ankle. It is taking longer and is a lot more work than I ever dreamed. Your exercises are so helpful! I also appreciate your calm, centered presence. THANK YOU!
Thank you so much. I am falling in love with your videos. This one is such a blessing. Its hard to find ones and instructors that can make me feel like I can actually do the movements. I had both of my periphial tendons graphed back together in my left ankle 2 years ago. So I have no arch, strength or flexablility in it and these are actually helping so thank you very much.
i love these excercises. i have nueropathy - lost nerve endings in my toes and trying to find videos to help build strength back in my toes and feet has been difficult! thank you for this! and please share more basic toe and foot excercises for ultra beginners. i cant point yet and lift myself up on to my toes but those are my goals - my top tendons are overpowering the bottom tendons making pointing a very tough struggle. thank you again and any and all toe/foot excercises welcome!!!
Thank you for this, it's great. I exercise my toes a lot because I get swollen feet and toe cramps, and also have a stiff, sore ankle. This is great - will be following this!
I have honestly been avoiding all videos from this channel mostly because I'm stubborn and they keep popping up but the second seen they had real life problems that videos aren't made on those topics and things I had to subscribe, so thank you for your channel and thanks to UA-cam for suggesting it non-stop
you are so awesome! I've never met any doctor or other health care professionals who are as knowledgeable as YOU are! I'm going to send everyone I know or meet with foot problems to you! I'm also going to work at these exercises and document my progress and show you how I'm doing! Thank you ever so much! Bless YOU!
Thanks for this! I am starting ballet next year, and even though I won’t go en pointe for at least a year after that, I hope this will make the transition easier for me
I've been experiencing extreme pain with my feet and shins, I will make this video a daily workout routine to help recover! Thank you very much for this excellent video!!
This has never let me down ❤ every time i watch im finished as soon as the close up wiggles happen. Omg its so hard not to come watching this 😍 literally just pure 🥜 to those adorable twoes ❤
Oh Thank You! I I'm so glad I found your channel And I am subscribed now I have a lot of trouble with my feet neuropathy and plantar fasciitis and these exercises are helping I like a lot of your other videos also like the reflexology videos I will definitely be watching a whole lot of your videos thank you so much!!😊☺😊😉
I just watched this video and was practicing each exercise as you demonstrated it! I truly found them helpful so thank you so much! It was a bit challenging as this was my first time but I know it takes practice and patience. My feet seem to be feeling better already! Any post-workout stretches that you recommend to avoid letting my muscles stiffen up?
I've been looking for exercises for my feet to make it easier to progress in belly dancing. My issues are fallen arches/flat feet, left foot's left side pain/sensitivity, right foot's inflammation between toe joints in the ball of the foot (makes it difficult to maintain the tip-toe position). Though I focus on the belly dancing I know it would benefit me in my whole life. I've been dealing with being overweight and know that doesn't help but I'm also beginning to walk more often during the week (20 to 40 minutes) plus belly dancing. I began relearning belly dance on January 1, 2016.
Hi! I enjoyed this. A few years ago I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. It didn't take long after practicing some ballet for me to get some pains in my arches. I couldn't do the doming very well. My arch wouldn't hardly move at all. Will that get better with practice? Thanks for the video!
