- Hello there! Captain Rex awakes from a crash, only to meet Captain Fordo of the 2003 Star Wars Clone Wars series! Now Rex must adapt, as he learns just how different clone troopers and Jedi were back in the legends canon.

which is technically true, from what I've heard the first 100 ARC troopers didn't get inhibitor chips in the new canon, so Fordo started a Rebellion almost the moment order 66 was issued

I’m just glad no one forgot about the big boy, especially since Rex was created to replace him in TCW.

The funny thing is that Rex was originally be called Alpha but got his name changed.
@@jonathan4158 IIRC Rex was straight up GOING to be Alpha and got changed because Lucas thought there were too many names starting with "A" among the main cast.

I’d absolutely love to see Ahsoka react to how much of a brat 2003 Anakin was.
Only in part 1 when he’s a stick a padowan, he improves after being promoted to knight.
I know I liked the 08 Clone Wars Anakin better
Anakin is a "brat" in Episode two and he also has his moments in Episode III. 2003 is in line with the movies.

2003 Grievous swapping places with 2008 would be something, really.
2008 would get absolutely butchered in Tartakovsky-land, while 2003 would probably turn the 3-D cast of characters into a fine red mist.

2003: "... Several. at the same time. Killed one too. Did I hear right that you lost to gunguns?"
I can 100% see Alpha-17 or Captain Fordo kicking and stomping on 2008 General Grievous, until 2003 version General Grievous comes in and join with the with Fordo and Alpha. XD

Just jumping outa nowhere, crushing someone from falling from the roof, ghost like a ninja, fighting with 3 limbs without splitting his arms apart is some crazy nonhuman type stance where hes like 3 extra feet tall with extra reach.
2003 Grievous was a MONSTER of a machine. True nightmare fuel
Fun fact: Rex would actually know Alpha since he was part of the ARC and commander training program that was led by Alpha aka A-17. Alpha basically oversaw the training of all the commanders and ARCs we saw, at least if we go with Legends.

Okay, this is pretty awesome, and I love the small details that come to mind. Fordo refers to Anakin as Commander while Rex calls him General. Alpha-17 and his generation of ARCs were pretty much as Jango as they could get aside from the Null-Class. Plus, Alpha trained the newest generation of Clone Commanders in both legends and canon.
Though this doesn't take away Rex's accomplishments since he's originally a regular rank and file trooper, not even being born as a designated Commander.

Now I see how good Dee Bradley Baker was as a voice actor. All the clones sounded the same but if they talked to one another there were these subtle differences in the way they sounded and talked so you could still tell them apart.

@@christopherstein2024As far as I remember, only ARCs and Commandos had enhancements, while Galactic Marines used armor that was powered to a degree. Rest of the clones were up to spec copies of Jango.
@@paladyntt7232 We know from the movies that the clones had at least enhanced growth rates. It is also said that the Kaminoans increased their clones' lung capacity, decreased their reaction times and improved their stamina. Certain allergies and Fett's mild astigmatism were also removed from the genome.
Since the ARCs were produced first I would assume that their physical genetics may even be a bit worse than that of the troopers, while being better than Fett either way. What makes them advanced is their spirit wich was later dulled in the troopers, so that they would make better obedient infantry.
The council denying Anakin the rank of Master is a canon event.

As a huge 2003 clone wars fan, oh it’s beautiful! Awesome to see the 🐐s Fordo and alpha 17 return! The 2099 theme for alpha is perfect, and the references to the republic comics are great!

Maybe. The Phase 1 armor is definitely more iconic for the 2003 clones tho.
@@nchldmn Fair, but phase 2 Fordo also has the same helmet markings as Rex (Jade eyes, I believe is what they are called?) so there's another similarity

On Disney+, at least here, there's only episodes 1 and 2 of the 2003 one. So I have no idea who Alpha is, but I do know Fordo. That saying, it's nice to see both a character I know and don't know
You got the whole series of ‘03, it was a tiny micro series. Alpha is from the Clone Wars Multi Media Project Republic comics I believe.
