- Hello there! After Star Wars The Clone Wars, the 501st joined Darth Vader to execute Order 66, but once he returned from the Duel of the Fates, the clones no longer recognized him as Anakin Skywalker.

I wonder if the rest of the 501st doubts he's actually a Fett clone. He doesn't sound like one, doesn't act like one, is weaker than them (TCW regs are massive physical improvements over CW regs physically and he isn't an arc) and was wearing phase 1 armor way too late into the war. Do they secretly assume he's a natborn or a spaarti?

This may honestly be my favorite video of yours. It was so funny with Buzzkill, the droid popper, the “No u.” That aside, the detail of the 501st Trooper, the 501st Journal reference, and Vader’s eyes going blue were amazing.
I love that the first sentenz is from the original Battlefield 2.
At this point, I’m not sure if Buzzkill is just crying for help or if he actually enjoys being in this version of Star Wars

Clone: "Wait a minute... The High Ground. Does that mean that Obi Wan Kenobi killed General Skywalker?"
Vader: "No. I did."
Clone: "How can you kill yourself? That doesn't make any sense."
Vader: "Well... in a way. I sort of tried jumping to get to Kenobi when he had the High Ground. Not the smartest idea for me. So in a way, I kind of destroyed myself... so yeah! That's how I destroyed myself. Anyways. We're wasting time. We've got to go to Kashyyk and hunt down this Rogue Jedi, the Wookies are keeping refuge."
Clone: "Is it Padawan Gungi?"

Heres how I think it works. Sheev can clearly program the order 66 programming whenever he likes to exclude certain Jedi. All those that become Inquisitors are either
1. Stunned
2. Given a personal live message from Sheev to join like 13th sisters case
3. Told to ignore like the Grand Inquisitor and possibly the 10th brother
With Anakin he’s clearly a special case. I think the programming doesn’t just exclude him, but blinds the clones when it comes to his saber, voice and likeness. I imagine Commander Appo was given a personal message saying “Lord/Darth Vader will collect you shortly.”. So when Vader was put into his suit and given a new saber and voice the clones didn’t question because all their minds are told to recognise him as an ally no matter what identity he has.
In the event that Sheev doesn’t win him over he’ll be put on the execution list. At least in this case he has an army of dogs. In the event that he wins no Jedi over well then he’ll just have go with another backup plan. Sheev has contingencies for everything. You don’t get to Revenge of the Sith stage without thinking everything out. The only things he didn’t account wear Tups rotten chip or Syfo Dyas’s ship on the sand moon and Valorums assistant being alive. Also its possible Maul was on there as well.
Except Order 66 was issued towards the mid to end of Operation Knightfall, so the clones chips wouldn't have been active till then. We even hear this in Kenobi as Order 66 only starts to ring out towards the end of the battle

@@StuartLugsden It worked just fine in the EU so I don't see why it wouldn't work here. The chip was basically a failsafe to prevent clones from not following the order, it doesn't necessarily mean the clones wouldn't follow it.

Thats not how it works.
In the OLD EU the clones wear taught to be loyal the Republic first and foremost and have 150 orders in events. Order 66 is just one and it could be issued by a high Republic authority. It wasn't a secret and the senate and everyone else bought the lies. How it worked with Anakin and Vader and the events after wasn't explained at all. It wasn't even explained why the clones called "Chancellor" Palpatine, "my lord".
In the NEW EU the clones have a chip to make them complainant to the order 66 program and theres a lot going on in it and what I said above is combo of executive talk, new EU material and my guesses. Order 66 was secret and a one and done. The whole season 6 arc was about trying to uncover and trying to hide it. The clones knew Palpatine's alter ego because of this tho they never revealed this for some reason.
The 501st weren't a different case. They didn't follow for no reason it's because Appo would have been the first to get a call, be brainwashed and then the rest of the millitary would follow after and while Vader was leading the 501st into the temple by which point it would be late and and all of it was happening at once. I still consider the legends comics of vader working with the 501st as Canon, I don't see why they couldn't be Canon, oh though it would be nice to see a new Canon story of vader leading the 501st, maybe hunt down Rex
Honestly, I'm surprised there wasn't an episode of the Bad Batch where Crosshair teams up with Darth Vader....considering both of them worked together beforehand.
The comic series can't be Canon because they don't line up with TCW.
@@nchldmn Tbh I think we've been seeing too much Vader and Emperor stuff, or rather we aren't seeing them used particularly well.
Like Jedi Survivor did well with Vader, but I just think they should have waited to bring him back in game 3 for the big finale with Cere, because it felt like all of the character progression with most of the game's returning characters happens offscreen, and the novel connecting the 2 games is apparently terrible and reads like bad fan fiction, so it would have been nice to have more time with Cere and the 9th Sister.
And then Palpatine in TBB was used as trailer bait in all 3 seasons. In S1 he literally just says the part of the ROTS speech he said onscreen, which tells me that the writers somehow got the idea that that was literally his entire speech despite it being fairly obvious that there were time gaps. In Season 2 his appearance was ok, but they still haven't explained why he so desperately wanted to replace clones. And in Season 3 his appearance was blatantly fan service.
