    To get the window chank handle off I like to use a rag to push the clip down by pulling the rag tight and sliding it down behind the chank handle pull the rag side to side an in at the same time and it will push off the clip. Doesn't scratch things and the clips don't go flying

    Bro... what you do has helped me do what I thought would be painful and damaging. Because of you I feel like a backyard pro. You are an awesome inspiration for all the guys out there who love these do it yourself budget projects. A light at the end of a long dark tunnel...meaning most people quit without ever seeing the end. You showed me a path that makes the end very possible and rewarding. All the way from Hawaii....MAHALOS Brah!!! (Thanks Bro).

    Many videos seem to avoid the dreaded door jambs and that part of the job can leave folks impressed or very unimpressed with the overhaul job. Very well done!

      @@JamesDguy well im starting to sand on my 94 some. Got rid of a couple rust spots today and laid primer on them. Will be shooting the car with can and using the 2k clear from the can following your methods. Just gotta decide my color and find the time. Hard to get time for anything when you work driving a truck for a monthly then get 4 days off lol. When im home i want to spend time with the family. But i will be finding a local job soon. Was thinking about recording my work on the car when i can get into it. If i do i can send you some videos or pictures since i will be using your videos as a guide.

    Some good info and bravery there. I have 1 suggestion, before you remove any doors or hinges drill a couple of small holes through each hinge into the door post, body or whatever it mounts to. When it comes time to remount everythingvthe small holes will help align the doors to there original position.

    I am a new Land Cruiser FZJ80 owner. I recently decided to address the peeling clear coat on the hood, roof, top of
    the rear lift gate and fender flares. I rented a spray booth for 3 hours. After taping, getting organized, I
    only had time to shoot BASE COAT before my time expired and the next guy entered the booth. QUESTION: How long can I wait to shoot my CLEAR coat? I can not get back in the booth for 3 days! if I have to re-shoot any base at all. What are your thoughts on my 3 day wait before shooting clear? Ok to shoot clear after 3 days or must I wet sand the base first? Thanks

    I have a question do you wet sand the paint before clear or clear coat the car then wet sand and buff???

    • @JamesDguy
      @JamesDguy  5 років тому

      If you want it 100% flawless you wet sand the color coat then you clear it then wet sand the clear then clear again until you achive the shine you want. Option B. Wet sand the color coat with 1000 grit then add clear over it then wet sand the clear with 1500-200-2500 then buff and your good. Im not as picky so i usually just clear then wet sand and buff.

    So instead of actually developing a craft for yourself by continue to advance your skill set in painting...you've decided to make videos of how to do horribly cheap ugly paint jobs that won't last?

      Nathen Halbert That’s your opinion but I like it because it has meaning. “Idc if you disapprove” that’s my favorite part of the song 😎

      @JamesDguy  5 років тому +1

      Nathen Halbert Well the amount of haters who “disapprove” of the methods I use and they don’t like anything I do that’s a middle finger to them. Also it’s royalty free which means no copyright infringement so no lawsuit 😂

      If you don't like it create some music he can use instead. There's probably thousands of videos a day deleted for using copyrighted music.
