To get the window chank handle off I like to use a rag to push the clip down by pulling the rag tight and sliding it down behind the chank handle pull the rag side to side an in at the same time and it will push off the clip. Doesn't scratch things and the clips don't go flying

Will be shooting the car with can and using the 2k clear from the can following your methods. Just gotta decide my color and find the time. Hard to get time for anything when you work driving a truck for a monthly then get 4 days off lol. When im home i want to spend time with the family. But i will be finding a local job soon. Was thinking about recording my work on the car when i can get into it. If i do i can send you some videos or pictures since i will be using your videos as a guide.

I plan to repaint my 2010 Yaris a metalic (forest) green. I also plan to remove the doors to do the jams. And this video was not too long. It seems that way when you film it and edit it, but it came out just right! Good job!

Some good info and bravery there. I have 1 suggestion, before you remove any doors or hinges drill a couple of small holes through each hinge into the door post, body or whatever it mounts to. When it comes time to remount everythingvthe small holes will help align the doors to there original position.
Looks good! I did the “50 dollar” rustoleum paint job on my 94 teggy with the electric paint gun looks better than before but just wish it had the shiny gloss finish. I’m thinking of repainted when I get some time and money.

Rudy Flores Yup shake for a min and this paint takes a little longer to dry than the 2X but it’s worth the wait. Depending on temps it can be as little as an hour or up to 3 hours but the finish comes out mint
I am a new Land Cruiser FZJ80 owner. I recently decided to address the peeling clear coat on the hood, roof, top of the rear lift gate and fender flares. I rented a spray booth for 3 hours. After taping, getting organized, I only had time to shoot BASE COAT before my time expired and the next guy entered the booth. QUESTION: How long can I wait to shoot my CLEAR coat? I can not get back in the booth for 3 days! if I have to re-shoot any base at all. What are your thoughts on my 3 day wait before shooting clear? Ok to shoot clear after 3 days or must I wet sand the base first? Thanks

ghogue61 Nope. They have one that can be applied with a paint roller or brush and it does look like chrome but it’s expensive and not sold in big chain stores

Adam Blue I don’t do mobile paint jobs sorry. Once I get my shop I will be able to do them here but as for now I don’t feel comfortable doing paint jobs for others in my driveway. I only did the paint job of my friend/subscriber eclipse because he don’t live far from me and I owed him a favor.
3gd16 I use 8 cans on average for outside the car but I also have been spraying for along time not sure how many it would take for a first time painter with cans but it shouldn’t be much more and might be less.

If you want it 100% flawless you wet sand the color coat then you clear it then wet sand the clear then clear again until you achive the shine you want. Option B. Wet sand the color coat with 1000 grit then add clear over it then wet sand the clear with 1500-200-2500 then buff and your good. Im not as picky so i usually just clear then wet sand and buff.

JustSomeGuy you can shoot clear within a few hours if your crunches for time.
If you cant take bolts or screws off use a little bit of vaseline! The paint won't stick to it and can just whipe it off later.

Just a tip for those that don't know: The best thing to remove those stuck flush head screws is an impact driver, some penetrant spray and a hammer.
