I watched this video a few weeks before playing DR2 for the first time. My first impression watching was "dang cool game, she seems pretty fast". After a few weeks of playing for myself and I just came back to this video. My reaction is now "Oh my ... holy ... what? Oh my god how did... how did she do that? She's so fucking fast!". She absolutely sends it. Outstanding stuff.

Bro, you had to play the game in order to think she was impossibly fast? I'm no race gamer at all and I'm sitting here watching her go with my mouth open like, "Whaaaaaat...?" 🤣 She's nuts, man. It terrifies me to think this is what it looks like from her real car doing real rally races. 😳
In real racing they can't or at least usually don't go flat out like this because the risk is too great for both car and driver (though obviously they still go pretty terrifyingly fast.) High level rally drivers are very rarely going as fast as they know they can, because over the course of a long race you have to manage the risk that you crash out. The closer to the limit you drive the tinier a mistake it takes to end your race. One wheel a few inches wrong is all it takes to hit a rock and send your car into low orbit at those speeds. Colin McCrae was famous because he raced in real life like we race in video games. It allowed him to do some absolutely incredible stuff, but he never actually won many championships because that is more about consistency than balls-out driving. @@NightRunner417

Oh boy, I have ridiculously high amount of memories on this map. Most of them consists of rolling and crashing but a few triumphs here and there which makes it worthwhile. Great driving!

Love the updated clean setup! Subwoofer under the seat was a smart move and clean wire management!

i had never thought of it before but if you see the information that the driver hears/sees. Then has to process that information ,then tell the arms/ legs/feet what to do in milliseconds just amazes me .this video shows that process brilliantly.

I've watched circuit racing my whole life and my brain pretty much thinks like a circuit racer now in terms of lines etc. Seeing what you do in that rig just blows my mind. It's another level entirely.
This is awesome! Glad UA-cam algorithm brought me here. I bought a rally game along with the PlayStation (first one) when it first came out, but was so frustrated with it because I had no idea how to drive/play it. So I never played it again.. Shame because I like watching rallying the best of all motorsports. Great video & subscribed!

I usually associate the pace notes with the gear I should be in, seems to be the only way to get around the track without crashing, but it seems you can push beyond that. I did notice the lack of using the brake pedal, something I had been working on ! You really don’t need to brake as much as you’d think you need to!
You actually do need to constantly be on the brakes or it’s impossible to stop without sliding off into a field or off a cliff.
Took me an hour to find a pro sim driver's foot work so your my gal thanks for the vid !

For me the hardest part about rally and the dirt games are the predictive pre-steering. Im just starting to get the hang of it but its crazy how early you are steering for the corners, Understandable at that speed though.
How many degrees of steering is reccomended, I use 540 but It looks like she is using a lot more, my shifters are on the wheel which is why i preffer 540 as I can alswys keep my hands and 9 and 3.
Curious to know your thoughts - is Dirt 2.0 or WRC 10 closer to reality in terms of driving physics?
I'm no rally driver but both games are rather Arcady, Richard burns rally is the best and most realistic in terms of physics

Dirt rally tarmac is a joke but some concepts on gravel are much better.
@@rubbertoe. dirt 2.0 tarmac feel like a freaking gravel, so slidy, has no difference shit to other surface.

You can adjust the co driver calls speed in settings!

I used to think I was pretty good at racing games and driving in general. Then I played this game (with a gamepad) and realized how easy it is to flip and or roll your car. Pretty impressive skills!
It would be nice too see one of the tight events instead of all the flat out ones

this is arcade for her, which is obvious since she's in hood cam. probably a 6/10 for realism, counting the horrific tarmac physics.

I'm not Louise, but i think it is about until 4. I mean real race rally car, even if it's not WRC level, it's enough to at least just drive an entry-level car to understand.

I used to play Richard Burns Rally game about 15 years ago on my Logitech Momo Racing wheel. Its physics was pretty realistic.

Firstly, that is a STAGGERING amount of driving skill on display, and secondly, the amount of speed and commitment she takes into the corners is frankly TERRIFYING. I've **never** gotten through any stage in Dirt Rally 2.0 that quickly or cleanly. always amazing. kudos.
