Why was INEC reluctant to release electoral materials to the opposition as ordered by the court? Up until now, opposition lawyers have not confirmed that INEC has released all materials to them.

All the constitution said was that Abuja should be added to the 36 states to make 37 for the purpose of elections so that any candidate who won 25% of votes cast in two-thirds of any of the 37 states becomes the winner of the presidential election.. It's that simple.

Tinubu made 25% in 29 states. and scored the highest number of votes and was rightly declared winner by INEC without prejudice to his qualifications to contest. But if one decides to separate Abuja from the 36 states Tinubu also scored 25% of 2/3 votes of Abuja which is 74k votes but Tinubu scored 90k votes which means that Tinubu also won more than 25% of 2/3 of Abuja but the precedence indicates that for the purposes of elections Abuja is simply treated as the 37th state. Tinubu may have other problems at the Tribunal but INEC appears to be right to declare Jagaban the president elect.
