Nigerian politicians always claim seniority at every given opportunity. Amaechi served at State level for 16 years doesn't mean a first term legislator can't question and query him. Some of us are extremely disappointed at the efforts by the Speaker to interrupt an ongoing parliamentary inquiry being conducted by the chairman of a legally constituted committee. The U.S house speaker will NEVER interfere and or disrupt an ongoing parliamentary inquiry because the witness feels uncomfortable with the line of questioning. We all watch CNN and CSPAN to witness how committee members, including the chairman, interrogate witnesses. The House speaker is NEVER visibly present. Femi Gbajabiamila is showing that he is only stooge for the executive. It is clear after the meeting he and the Senate president had with the CNC that they were directed to go easy on government officials summoned to testify before parliament. The fact is, most of these Nigerian lawmakers don't actually want anything to change. The executive literally agreed to lending terms by the Chinese government with a clause that waves Nigeria's sovereignty in the event of a default. What do we think will happen when these railways finally collapse, like every infrastructure project in the country? Does anyone believe that the Chinese themselves will not work to compromise this effort in the long term so that they can gain control over important sectors of the country? I weep for this country.

He had demonstrated that he is truly a distinguished member of the house by his display of high level of intelligence and sound approach to administrative issues unlike the dull and arrogant Amaechi. With persons like Hon Nicholas Ossai as a citizen of this country, there is no doubt that foreigners in the developed world would still have high regard for some of us.

And someone tell Amaechi that he owes us and the next generation an explanation. His been rude and intimidating words should be saved for him and him alone. Now is the time for us to be more concerned about all that happens in Aso Rock.
did u see his approach and response to his questions to the chairman of the committee, Amechi don't deserve to a public servant, very rude ,arrogant, even the blind can see that he is not honest, trying to intimidate the chairman but I love his courage
Amaechi is not respecting the committee. He is not a role model for upcoming generations. If a whole minister is behaving like this, what are you expecting of those working under him. I am very happy to see an intelligent man like the chairman of this committee as a Nigerian.
Most of the rich, business moguls, use other people's money to expand their business operations. In management, a successful businessman like Dangote, Otedola, and Mike Adenuga can borrow money from the bank using their goodwill. Most buildings and factories across the country, if check properly, get their funds through a bank loan. The most important thing is to use the money to better the life of the common man and help to grow the economy. Nigerians lose interest in our politicians because when you secure these loans you will either embezzle it or share it among themselves. I saw the on going Lagos Ibadan Expressway; I don't think the road network will need to be repaired in the next 20 to 30 years judging by the depth of the road and its thickness. Whereas, it is a loan. The Lagos Ibadan Railway system is also good; I wish they will continue to use the loan for what it is meant for and sincerely repay as at when due.
God bless and protect all the men and women of authority who truly stand for justice and truth!More grace in carrying out your assignments Mr. Chairman. Nigeria, a very great country, 500 loan agreements with countries and institutions, what exactly for? Please there is a reason for nominating or mandating a Chairman to preside over a meeting or panel, having more than a leader at a time is pure chaos. Kindly respect the seat of authority not the person, no matter how friendly you are behind closed doors. This attitude hampers the process of order. It is very glaring in the Nigerian polity. I have not understood the response of Hon. Min. Transport, there is no question he has answered in a straight-forward manner that enhances understanding, both verbal and non-verbal, all enquiries from Mr.Chairman are met with rather distasteful reactions(because obviously being on the defensive is the strategy of the day or as always should I mention) and remarks whereas it should be responses. Dearth of professionalism!
This is amazing, when the so called Leaders are debating this way, like secondary school kids, how can the country move on. All these Old Policans should be retire

There shouldn’t be a more laws. There are laws already in place for people like that. The government should simply apply those laws
This hearing shouldn't end, i want to appeal to NASS, we must be very sure of how this loans are going.
People in authority hates been asked questions especially when they are .......
What happened within that 30 mins break that watered down the tempo of the questions?
I observed that too. Gbaja get hand in it. That chairman was ready for him.
Amaechi is very rude, his demeanor is shocking. Very childish and immature. The Chairman clearly managed himself properly which is not easy cos Amaechi clearly turned every question to either an argument or a fight.
Very very rude and arrogant
Keynote Address on Economic Governance & National Development
The minister has some skeletons to hide. He looks so suspicious
All of them do. They know themselves
Amechie is simply wuruwuru man. He knows that the chairman is well readied with tangible questions he won't have answer for.
Amaechi has no tangible answers and most reply was he did not bring this or that document . Documents were not signed in some cases as he was asked to sign.
It would be nice to watch a full clip
Sincerely there is hope in persons like Nicholas Ossai. Strong.
It's difficult to sit calm through grilling questions pointing to outright unintelligent mischief or arrogant ignorance.
Where you have visionary reps . I agree there is hope in ossai. Passionately patriotic.
Mande from Makurdi
The committee chairman is merely playing to the gallery
I swear
Unconscious incompetence on full display.
No problem, may God help Nigeria 🇳🇬.
Amen amen amen
The title of Honorable is befitting of personality like Nicholas Ossai.
100% agree with you. When intelligent men/women remain silent, a nation will be led by fools like Amaechi. We need more people like Ossai all over the Nigerian government/ politics. This country has been setback by incompetent leaders for soo long.
Amaechi is too restless.
Am very disappointed in Amaechi. He can't even comport himself. He presents himself as a trouble maker looking for a fight instead of providing direct response to the questions
Who invited the speaker?
The speaker was invited by Amaechi's cronies that felt their arrogant boss was being drilled by the opposition party rep. All of a sudden, our national interest was turned to a party tussle like a game of witch hunt. Then, the committee chairman was forced to go for a recess. How can Nigeria move forward in this manner?
If most public servants were upright and equitable Nigeria would have been like Dubai 10 years ago.
When Amaechi accused the Chairman of approaching him on South-South contracts, the Chairman shouted ISSOKAY.......Yet again ISSOKAY.
Good thank God u heard it immediately nne as calm
Thas why he is calm the chairman is a fraud
Am highly impressed with the standard of the Chairman of the committee. This is how it is done. Members of the house of assembly should be conducting their over site duties. They should Keep it up.
Thank you mr man is the truth we want
Why are they questioning the minister of transportation? The minister of transportation is not responsible for signing of loan documents.
Thank you for this observations, most commentators are ignorant of the procedures. Again, A member of the committee is trying to bring this up but unfortunately the chairman shut him up.
I love this man questioning
Kudos 👍 to Mr chair man, for is polite and respectful questions, Amaechi you better calm down and give a clear picture of what you are doing with the load under your custody, you are there to serve Nigerians, not your self okay
This is interesting.
It really good that the house of reps are double checking what the executive is doing with Chinese loans .
God ooooo which people do we have in government ameache why are you talking it personal, may God gard this chairman
Amaechi is not fit for any public office. With his childish tantrums and hostility. I bet his family will be cringing in shame.
We keep recycling old wines in new bottles
Right Mr. Chairman. This is not an APC-PDP clash. We the ordinary citizens should be considered first, before political parties. And someone tell Amaechi that he owes us and the next generation an explanation. His been rude and intimidating words should be saved for him and him alone. Now is the time for us to be more concerned about all that happens in Aso Rock.
what example is Rotimi showing our youths in his rude responses.
He is just a criminal. When intelligent people that have good vision for a nations speak, you will know.
A divided committee cannot achieve a meaningful public hearing.the chairman tried to maintain his leadership.
Nigeria politicians are responsible for what this country has become today "a borrowing nation"
People like Amaechi should not be allowed to be part of Nigeria's governance.
The bunch of thieves, God Almighty will protect Nigeria & the Nigerian in Jesus Name amen.
You're funny 😂
God no go do anything for any Nigeria, our destiny is our hands.Heaven help those who help themselves
did u see his approach and response to his questions to the chairman of the committee, Amechi don't deserve to a public servant, very rude ,arrogant, even the blind can see that he is not honest, trying to intimidate the chairman but I love his courage
Mr Chairman, we need to begin speaking the truth. Said by Min. Of Transp. Is 8t that they have been lied in the past?
It is not Amaechi's money. It is Buhari's money. Buhari is the guy who pushed for taking more loans.
Ameachi thinks he can use offense as defence 😂
Dearth of professionalism!
.More again, thanks to Channels TV for pushing this out to the public domain. I strongly believe that the real change will soon come....
This is amazing, when the so called Leaders are debating this way, like secondary school kids, how can the country move on. All these Old Policans should be retire
I am already learning Chinese national anthem should in case we loose our sovereignty by not paying back the loans..
🤣🤣🤣🤣Funny you, me too ooo
@@michaelmilles3517 lovely dear. The earlier we learn it and become use to it the better.
This ameache is a criminal and vary rude
This is really painful for Nigerians citizens all this leaders are taking the country down
This public hearing will forever remain a locus classicus in the anals of the history of legislature-executive relations in Nigeria. Very valid then, ever more valid now.
Clearly Amaechi needs more exposure
You are right
What a pity imagine the amount we borrowed what we can easily brought out from our wallet. Failed generation 😪
He came in and ask what is going on as if he never know that the matter is going on ......Lol......
When a master meet with the headmaster! Amechi is trying to disorganized Mr Ossai but Mr Ossai knows more than Amechi on this matter. Respect Mr Ossai.
To you, Mr Ossai doesn't know what local content is but to us who knows what local content is we appreciate Mr Ossai on this matter ok.
Mr Ike, no one is against the development of his/her country but it has to be done transparently ok.
Why loans have to being used properly especially the Chinese loan, if not Nigeria will be in trouble in the hands of the Chinese government just like what Zambia is facing at the moment. We need development and Nigeria is growing everyday the citizens are waking up, is not a business as usual
Love it. Why is channel tv selective on which topic to comment on. When is the CBN Governor Coming to meet panels.
