Allow me to explain @@IdealMediaChannel... You see, the moment you purchase a car, you're holding the result of a very long chain. Said chain, carries history, passion and hard work. As such, modifications like these can "ruin" the product's main purposes and functions. Porsche is a manufacturer that produces one of the best sports cars ever made, if I do say so myself, this is because engineers and designers achieve a perfect balance between performance and aesthetic, which they've been doing for over 50 years. As such, this modification ruins this 997's smooth lines, interferes with it's aerodynamic capabilities, and raises it's center of gravity, which consequentialy decreases handling. A great example is pineapple on pizza (don't type yet, let me finish); where the fruit is this type of mod, and pizza is the Porsche. In both sides purists look at it as a cardinal sin, because it goes against all principles and benefits of said product; a pizza should be salty, and a Porsche should be sporty. Nevertheless, there are people who like their pizzas sweet and their Porsches practical and different, and that's fine too.

What model and brand is the roof rack and the mount setup?? I’ve been looking for one similar to what your setup is cause I was planning on getting a rooftop tent for my sedan and I think what you have is a perfect setup 😁
The Squidd has the right approach. On the 911? I’ve never seen anything like that, so ... it is unique. Although a four man tent (more room) would have fit easily into your past carrier. But at least you were off the ground. It certainly is a cool and interesting solution. Great filming/editing, as usual. Thanks for taking us along on your trip.
People who comment to just setup a regular tent on the ground are failing the recognize the benefit of storing your whole bed + needed sleeping gear on the roof. For uses with a small interior cabin space, that’s very valuable! // It’s very appealing to me personally.
That’s bizarre mate lol 😂 I’d get a transit van , Toyota Hi ace with a pop top or a former Australian Ambulance being primarily a F100/150 kitted our with mattress or even a old Landcruiser Troopy as a recreational camping vehicle but go you Brad for doing that with a Porsche and a BIG shout out to Squidd for doing the hard yards 😂😂😂. I think putting a roof top tent on a Cayenne and leaving the 911 at home so you don't rock chip the hell out of it is best if you want to camp out in a Porsche.
My vote is for the box tent because you can retract the ladder bro and keep it in the tent buddy. A bear can climb the ladder and jump in bed with you or a complete psycho killer for that matter. Nope being able to bring the ladder inside with you is safer where I can have my pistol pointed at someone's mug when they try to get in or animal.😜😎👍
