JH: Your information about the in-turned knees (knock-kneed) really helped to stabilize my pivot during my full swings with wedges, longer irons and driver. As a result, the ball flight resulting was on target. I am using single length irons now, which you and Matt Gray have suggested in the past, to “standardize” the ball position at address also. Thank you for your insights to the golf swing. Setting up personal protocols does work.

      Hi George,
The single-length iron I think is the best equipment breakthrough for club players of any design innovation to date .
.Especially the first Cobra models that had all the same lies for all the clubs.. same lies clearly put you in the 'same' address position every time.. don't know why Cobra went back to individual lies with the later model clubs... people I teach that bought the later models I get them to have the lies adjusted back to the same for every club.
Stabilizing the swing center with that turning of the legs inwards is a very simple process..but the beneficial knock-on effect for the entire swing dynamics is so significant.
      Glad the info helped.
      cheers JH

@@1atomicgolf I am now using Wishon irons which were recently fitted for me. They are all the same lie angle and shaft flex. (I did not like it when Cobra started playing around with lie angle and flex in their irons.) Your video helped me to improve the stability of my pivot throughout the swing. It works with CL and more conventional ball positions so it part of my setup protocol. Again thanks for your insights.

Do you ever have any decent conditions there. I've yet to hear it's a beautiful day a d the grass is mowed nicely.

I actually like practicing in tough conditions...playing then from nicely cut grass and no wind etc then becomes so much easier..
As well practicing from that part of the golf range other golfers do not come there and interupt my videoing...the conditions can be tough but its... 'Peaceful Tough'
      Cheers JH

From seeing your earlier videos on the pivot my swing is more balanced now
The 2 simple thoughts of the lead shoulder and trail shoulder being used the proper way has elevated my swing to what I think is another level
To understand the benefits from pivoting compared to rolling is very beneficial
    Never roll again

Nice flight JH. I’ve been using your pivot drill with half swing. This is a good drill. Try it guys. You’ll learn the pivot quickly.

      High John,
The swing because it tightens up a lot because of the added stabilisation of the pivot type.. takes so much extraneous hand action out the swing that its hard to not get good contact every swing.
      chjeers mate.

It is very strange to see Blue skies and we in UK have blue skies in Uk but to understand that our Blue skies give 70 to 80 degrees of heat and you say it is so cold. Hard to imagine when our summer is your winter. regards.

      Hi Tony,
This time of the year the winds come from the South and they bring a lot of coldness with them.. and the winds are invariably quite strong so the windchill factor is quite high ... and the area where I practice has no protection from the wind.

Don’t know if I’m doing it properly but I’m pivoting round my trail leg and trying not to go onto my front leg and knee as it’s screwed but I’m hitting it better than I have done in 30 years of golf.

      Hi Timmy,
The actual pivot point is the upper spine.. it doesnt move from its address position during the backswing pivot.. the lead shoulder just shoots straight 'outwards' and downwards with the trail shoulder just pulling in a reverse manner upwards and backwards.
The major pressure loading point is the right buttock which straightening the trail leg will cause to happen.
The lead knee in the technical sense of the pivot just bends inwards toward the back of the ball address position .. for you with a compromised lead knee that would maybe be an issue .. however there isnt a big loading into that knee .. because its angling towards the ball.. its just flexing inwards/outwards.. not so much getting loaded with weight in the backswing.
At the end of the day if you are getting a good result feeling the pivot loading in the trail leg and not into the trail buttock area.. I would keep on doing that..
It doesn't matter if you are not applying the Pivot technically correctly.. if your 'variation' is getting a good result.. just stick with it.
      cheers JH
