I have been to a safe making firm in England. It is at least 1 inch high grade steel which is laser cut by a computer. It is precision engineering double skinned and 4 corner bent with a filling that is almost impossible to penetrate by heat or drill. The thing that is being made here is no more than a tin box.
I was going to say: He's flattening it with a hammer. How secure can that steel possibly be? No straight-edge for squaring, no measuring... Professional indeed.

Just fascinating! Literally a cookie tin in the shape of a safe. It would make a great theater prop, or maybe a place to keep candy away from the kids. The best part of it is the hammertone paint job. I love watching UA-cam.😊

One most intresting thing i share with you we bought two safe from one shop and the keys of both safe were same you can unlock both safe with same keys amazing 😆😅😃🤔
Its got a 30-second security rating :) There are some real tinsmith skills there but safe?? not so much. Its all built with tack-welds and 1mm sheet so a can opener will crack it ;)
His workmanship is good. You want a stronger one order one in heavy gauge, install bio-meteric lock etc. But you cannot ignore his expertise. Donot forget he is working as per his clients budget.
The craftsmanship is absolutely amazballs. I am a retired locksmith. That is a beautiful lockbox. But nothing more. A small child could defeat that box. Jewelry safes are TL15- TL30 rated.

I just watched how to built a "Safe Wannabe" by hand. It just fakes solidity of the walls and locks. I bet shop next door produces can openers for something like that. Hopefully it impresses thief's just by the look.
Not exactly an approved safe that's for sure. But with most thieves it's enough to delay them for a few minutes to the point they don't wanna take the risk.
For all the slighted and negative comments about the quality etc. These people are employed, proud of their work and make a product that there is a market for. These products accomplish what they are made and sold for. Vist a country like these and you will come back with a new appreciation for things.
Been there. They take absolutely no pride in their work. They're not designed to function as advertised. They're rarely are what they are advertised as period. They throw their work on the floor, scratching and denting it, thinking a super thick coat of paint will help. They have no care for their own safety. They slap stickers all over their work that lies about every aspect of the product. This isn't uncommon either, it's the way almost all the street makers work. Also, there is absolutely no market for these bread boxes. I was so disgusted with these people I will never ever go there again. It's nothing but filth and carelessness.
Its as safe as the materials used, to get into this safe in less than a minute you use a cordless angle grinder and help yourself to the safely hidden items in this tin case. But credit to the guys that work crouched manufacturing these items.
How these people keep their eyesight has me shaking my head. Skills are amazing but welding helmets are cheap. Even to auto darkening ones are cheap. Not to mention the radiation burn from the UV being emitted from the welding flash.
It is not possible to explain it to them. Several years ago on the motorcycle trip to Russia I have figured out the same. Every metal worker had the welding machines but nobody welding helmet. Why in CZ is the usual selfdarking helmet for 100 Euro

The precision and speed of this worker as well as him doing his markings more or less off-hand - I have never seen anything like it. Maybe a bit sad tho that with all those skills he builds the worst of all safes in the world..
I do appreciate the effort, i do. It is not a safe safe though. I could drill it or just cut a hole in it in a short amount of time. These guys could make some metal furniture instead. Sell the stuff on Etsy.

I would not put any money or jewelry in this “safe” because it can be opened in less than two minutes. Cheap material and only welding points not full bead. You need only a mass to do it. If you want something strong you should use armor plate for safe.

You don't even have to bother lifting it up. The sheets are so thin that you can cut it through only with chisel.
