I don't think a lot of folks understand what the purpose of this door is. It symbolizes his ability as a craftsman and serves as a 'showroom' piece for potential customers. Amazing work!
let's hope so. first thing i see is a high security door surrounded by easily removable wall panels so from an engineering standpoint it makes no sense. i look at it and get in by unscrewing a few of those vertical panels. ta da
Pretty awesome build. This door turned out very unique and most importantly BadAss and very strong. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work Paul. Weld on. Fab on. Keep making. God bless.
Beautiful door ! I agree with some of the comments regarding security issues and wonder why nothing was done to make it more secure? A cordless grinder and zip disc has the door open in seconds but I guess alarms take care of that...?
The door is an incredible act of metalworking. Absolutely beautiful strong and well-built, very good job. The problems I see is I could cut the padlock off with an angle grinder in 5 seconds and get in. The other problem is I can open up the siding with a nut driver or can opener and get in. But it is a good representation of the work you can do in your metalworking shop. A good job.
The overhead door right next to it is an easy target as well. I'm more curious about what the fire marshal has to say. Around here the pad lock to lock the door would be a huge nono as you could be "locked in".
All of the above, also how the entire mechanism is on the outside as opposed to inside where it’s protected from being dismantled for access but i guess it wouldn’t be as much of a “showcase piece” if you couldn’t see it from the outside.
14:30 ASMR for metal fans. To everyone commenting about the security of this door.... You are missing the point. The rest of the building is thin corrugated steel, would be much easier to break in anywhere else.
JUST FROM THE PIC I EXPECTED A FANCIER LOCKING SYSTEM, LOVE THE SPUD WRENCH AND THE BOLT HEADS, BUT NOBODY CAN SAY ITS NOT GONNA BE STRONG ENOUGH FOR DAAMN SURE, GOOD BUILD FOR MY FIST VIDEO WITH YALL
I have to ask. *That* door in a wall you could almost walk through? And right next to an up-and-over? And it appears to be designed to stop people getting out, not in.
What beast! And the door is pretty monster too! 🤣 Paul this door is really incredible. 👍👍What did you use to keep it from rusting, or are you going to let it rust?
Only problem is that you cannot lock it from inside, and it uses a heavy duty extreme padlock which btw can be cut with bolt cutters(has been proven, doesn't matter why type of steel the padlock is made out of or rated for). Otherwise great build.
thats bad ass man. What are your plans for the finish? My vote is just keep a coat of oil on it to prevent rust, i've been constantly let down by clearcoat
i wonder what someone would charge to build a door like that. i have been looking for a saferoom door but not looking for any locks from the outside. Only looking to lock it manually from the inside. The door will always remain unlocked unless the need for the saferoom and then it is locked from the inside. Only needs to have a welded door handle on the outside for pulling it open and to close flush.
Very strong Walt door but what is the use. Weak shed and strong door. BTW, good job. What a thief need is a battery angle grinder to cut the small lock.
Serious question for the sake of common sense... It appeared that the door was being installed on the outside of that warehouse. The question is why go through all of the trouble when everything around it is thin sheet metal and Styrofoam? If someone wants in, they could rip a hole straight through the wall in a few seconds... Or just drive up with a truck and rip that door off with ease...
why? if I wanted to break in there I would just remove screws on tin walls to break in my Dad build iron door for a jeweler in 1976, thiefs came in and broke on through the ceiling cause they could find another way to break in
I don't think a lot of folks understand what the purpose of this door is. It symbolizes his ability as a craftsman and serves as a 'showroom' piece for potential customers. Amazing work!
we all need those to keep the venezuelans out. LOL
let's hope so. first thing i see is a high security door surrounded by easily removable wall panels so from an engineering standpoint it makes no sense. i look at it and get in by unscrewing a few of those vertical panels. ta da
Looks awesome. Been hearing about this thing on the podcast for so long it's nice to finally see it.
The Handmade Podcast
So wicked badass!! What a fantastic build. You definitely measured 10x and cut once I see!! Fit like a glove!!!
Wow next step finish the rest of the battle ship! Great job Paul thanks for sharing bro.😃
This is sick! I really like how the mechanism is visible. Artistic function!
Your a Legend
Now that's a DOOR! Great job Paul!
Pretty awesome build. This door turned out very unique and most importantly BadAss and very strong. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work Paul. Weld on. Fab on. Keep making. God bless.
The sound of that thing closing was beautiful. Amazing work
very cool, great show piece for your shop!
Very cool beer can building with a blast door
Beautiful door !
I agree with some of the comments regarding security issues and wonder why nothing was done to make it more secure?
A cordless grinder and zip disc has the door open in seconds but I guess alarms take care of that...?
Paul, that was really great work. Great design. Thanks 🙏
Great project. You remind me much of Fireball tools!
Very talented young man

All locks and doors only keep out honest people. If someone wants in bad enough, they'll find a way.
The overhead door right next to it is an easy target as well. I'm more curious about what the fire marshal has to say. Around here the pad lock to lock the door would be a huge nono as you could be "locked in".

You're a bad ass Paul. Keep making these videos!
Maximum security looks nice well built
Very cool door, craftsmanship on display.
Add this to my never ending list of Shop Goals.
We have another mad scientist great video great
Door Paul...
That's what I'm talking about ! My kind of door ! SWEET DREAMS !!! I'm building a similar one ! 👍
That is one impressive door.
Great build Paul!
Great video. Super cool build. Break my knuckles knocking on your door. Mahalo for sharing! 🙂🐒
My man said "eye protection? Nah I have safety squints"
Fine dust? Nah, tshirt filter is good enough...
Love what you do Paul !
Great work Paul. Would have loved to hear a little comentary but still think the vid is great, Keep it up.
Really nice job!!! Great statement piece.
Looks just......WOW👍🏻
I'm in love with that door !!!!
Enjoyed the show

We were commenting on the door, not the facility.
It would probably be easier to break in through the wall now.
Amazin job, thanks for share, best regards from Venezuela
That is one door I would love to make very nice work well done .....
Sir, why is it that you scream like that in the UA-cam?
@@alifetomake ITS OK, GO TO YOUR SAFE SPACE, LOL
@@MJ-nb1qn THAT'S A VERY GOOD REASON, SIR! YOU CAN INCREASE THE SIZE OF THE TEXT ON YOUR DEVICE TOO, IF THAT HELPS. HAVE A GOOD DAY!
Nice work boy 💫🌟
Fabulous project.
Where did you find those bolts? Name and size if you could. Beautiful work!
Absolutely love it!😊
Nice Job brother!!!
Beautiful, mate, why so heavy a door, has there been break ins there mate, top job. Still use my hammer Paul, love it.
I would worry someone would steal that beautiful door
must be in Canada cause the NFPA would be all over the blocked egress.
Was thinking the same thing
Fantastic job 👌🙏
Absolutely fantastic
Cut the rollup door with a cut-off wheel or unscrew your metal siding and you're in, what's that 400 lb door gonna stop? Or is it just for looks?
Let’s see the fire department open that door and🧑🏼🚒👨🏾🚒🧑🏼🚒🚒🚑🚒good job 👍
I have to ask. *That* door in a wall you could almost walk through? And right next to an up-and-over? And it appears to be designed to stop people getting out, not in.
Nice work
But what if someone locked the door from outside how you open it 🤔
What beast! And the door is pretty monster too! 🤣 Paul this door is really incredible. 👍👍What did you use to keep it from rusting, or are you going to let it rust?
This is how things should be made.
Franchement j'adore tes projets !
Tu viens d'éliminer tout risque de vol ! 😋
ça reste un cadenas, va voir le lockpicking lawyer si jamais tu connais pas.
Don’t forget to sign your artwork
Only problem is that you cannot lock it from inside, and it uses a heavy duty extreme padlock which btw can be cut with bolt cutters(has been proven, doesn't matter why type of steel the padlock is made out of or rated for). Otherwise great build.
Very nice project but if you are in the hall and someone closes from the outside how to get out👍👍👍
So good mate!!!
Paul, amazing build... I assume there are no plans available, you built it from scratch??? Thanks
What a beauty!
Better than the original door 🫡
badazz creation brother. good work.
thats bad ass man. What are your plans for the finish? My vote is just keep a coat of oil on it to prevent rust, i've been constantly let down by clearcoat
Damn IMPRESSIVE!
spettacolo 💪👍
How’s the press going on bud is it still in action
I want a door to stop a bullet.
What kind of bullet?
Yes
…..

bad ass door
perfect bro🔥
amazing! Estamos aguardando mais vídeos. 👍
I have seen you in forged in fire 🔥
Nice door! But all that afford for what cut the pad lock off?
Did you get a little confused and put the inside of the door out??
What happened to the mini ex that you used to make I have one of the originals but I lost the head
Super boulot
Wish you could turn the handle to open the door14:48
What is the cost of a door like that
nice door but the garage door can be easily cut
open with tin snips
lol
Great job, but the fire inspector may not like it.
That was neat
Very strong Walt door but what is the use. Weak shed and strong door. BTW, good job.
What a thief need is a battery angle grinder to cut the small lock.
He is not using arc welding on the door, the heat will bend the door.
I know it's a "Show Door" but it's still a 400 lb door that can be defeated with bolt cutters.
I want something like that as the front door to my house
Nice job no review on the truck
No thiefs, cops, ATF, or SWAT are going to make it though that without a torch.
The weakest part of this door is the lock.
Cool door but also, someone's just gonna lock you in.

ESSA É PRA 😂😂 PENSEI QUE ESSA PORTA 🚪 ERA PRA UM COFRE 😂😂
FALA SÉRIO 😂😂 O LUGAR E FEITO DE MADEIRA 😂😂
TÃO DE SACANAGEM 😂😂 ISSO É 💵 SOBRANDO 😂😂
Uau, que loucura!
A little click on one, two is binding...
You were on forged in fire
A 400 pound door with a two pound padlock........... hmmm......find the mistake
crazy,
Guapísima
Doesn’t make much sense to go overboard on the door when a pair of tin snips will open the wall
Ok
Opens and locks only from the outside, Gives the tools nothing to work on thereby thwarting their attempts at escape.
why? if I wanted to break in there I would just remove screws on tin walls to break in
my Dad build iron door for a jeweler in 1976, thiefs came in and broke on through the ceiling cause they could find another way to break in
A bank vualt steel door mounted on a tin can wall, makes no sense.
