Good videos I have a 01 XJ 60th anniversary. I live in NW Pa and this Jeep came from NC 260,000 and running strong. I reference all your videos. Keep up the good work.
I've seen from many sources that you can use either or so it shouldn't be affected on what you use as long as you just use 1 fluid and not mix it. Plus the owners manual itself calls for atf4 in a np231. If you have other transfer cases that have a clutch inside for either AWD or part time 4x4 it may call for a friction additive. So to be totally sure, take a look at your owner's manual and know what type of transfer case you have.
@@OutJeeping I didn't get an owners manual with my jeep :( I know it has AWD, and part time AWD. Not sure what type it is, however I've read that all XJS came with the Japanese transmission, not Chrysler.
@@Ibanezish If its an XJ it has 4wd not AWD like some grand cherokees do. In that case for a XJ it either came with a np231 or np242 and can be confirmed by looking at the tag on it under the jeep. Either way you are find to run either atf+4 or dexron3 for either transfer case type.

Merry Christmas to you as well
Thanks
Nice job
Nice job Austin. Are those sagging rear springs made by Rough Country?lol......
Haha nah, this is just the stock suspension and my daily driver so I won't be lifting this one.
Good day, please tell me what bridges is better to put the cherokee on 39 tires?
And what better to put rasgado 231? Or 242?
A 231 will hold up better for larger tires, 242 is more prone to breaking.
FILL PLUG FIRST!!!!! AMEN!!!!
What do we do if we don't have a Jeep?
Well that's a pickle situation you got yourself into. I suggest seeking for help asap.
cuantos litros lleva ese tranfe,r y que tipo de aceite, le puede servir otro tranfer de gran cerokee?b gracias
It took about 1.5 liters or quarts, i would buy 2 and you should have plenty. I used ATF-4 for this Cherokee transfer case.
Do you think I should add any kind of stabilizer?
It shouldn't need it. It's thin atf and was built with tight tolerances. Very much different than engine oil.
The transmission is Aisin, and takes Dexron III + but transfer case is ATF4+?
