Senior Dog Gets 4th Librela Shot For Arthritis and Anti Slip Pads For His Feet!

This is Cole's Fourth Shot of Librela: Cole the English Springer Spaniel was a week late getting his fourth shot of Librela as there was a big snowstorm and we had to miss his 5-week appointment. We could see Cole slowing down and not being as active but he still wasn't in as much pain as before starting Librela. Cole also got these sticky pads from Valfrid, so he slips less on tiles and hardwood floors. We are having a hard time getting them to stay on for long but they sure do keep him from slipping!

Cole the English Springer Spaniel hasn't been feeling so well lately so we took him to the vet to get checked over. We worried that something was wrong or failing. Turns out his arthritis in his back was bothering him. We tried Metacam and Gabapentin but they both seemed to make him sleepy. So our vet recommended we try this once-a-month shot medication called Librela. Librela is a drug for the alleviation of pain associated with osteoarthritis in dogs. The medication contains a canine monoclonal antibody (mAb) which targets nerve growth factor (NGF). This inhibits NGF-mediated cell signaling which can provide relief from pain associated with osteoarthritis.

28hrs after my 11yr old girl got her shot she died. Research as not all has a happy ending.
