Gpx4500 soil timings test

  • Today I tested the difference between normal and enhanced soil timings using 2 different size and shape (small) nuggets. 0.21 and 0.81 grams. Using the 12 inch evo nugget finder coil. The last hole I dug was 36cm deep approx 14 inches. Clearly normal timings give you more debth. I was apsoloutly buggered after digging that whole due to the tree roots. I would have liked to keep going. Maybe next time. I tried to keep the hole as narrow as possible so pulling out the roots was difficult. Hope you enjoy. Any comments or advice will be appreciated. Thanks for watching I hope you enjoy.

You can go on special timing and deep on front panel with sensitive extra for shallow to deep nuggets and to go deeper use sharp instead of extra ........ and keep your other settings as you have them......

Yes indeed Mate! The Mighty GPX-4500 Is A wonderful Machine! ! And add these new coils and it is a truly Great Machine! Yes, I learnt that too about enhanced mode, I alway carry a small test nugget with me ~ and as a direct result ~ Like you I noticed that big difference too... As I found out, The GPX TX power in Normal position..is full power... So running in Enhanced Mode TX Power is much less. ~ The reason for that is... so it doesn't feed back into the RX . That is because Enhanced mode is designed for use in Highly Mineralized soil. ~
So for me.... as a last resort ~ I will use Enhance mode when I am in really noisy ground and I can't get the GPX to ground balance anymore.
MY Settings: In Low Mineralized Ground: I always run full power in ( Normal timing) And until I start having Ground Balance issues I leave it in Normal.
I see you are using deep ? . To me, Deep seemed to me that was missing a lot targets ~ But It seems in your video that Deep is working just fine for you! Even that tiny target at 14" inches is quite remarkable !!!! I didn't think you would hit it. Maybe I will re-try Deep again .
Thank you for posting this! Great video!
    Gerard

Its picking up the pick thats next to the hole

@@theboarhunter Because you can see the pick in the vid next to the hole

@@markcrossan I can't really see in the video where the pick is close enough to interfere. If the pick was close enough to interfere then the video still proves that normal timing is much more sensitive as the pick was in the same position for all timings.

    Hi every one
I am thinking to buy one of these machines
    1. GPX5000
    2.Garrett ATX
    3.GPX 4500
witch one is perfect for natural gold detecting.
    THANK YOU ALL

I guess it all depends on where you are detecting(country) type of soil etc.. I had a garret atx and sold it to buy the 4500. My opinion, you can't compare the 2 especially in Australian soil favouring the 4500.

@@mohamadsiddig9666 it is probably best to speak to someone in Sudan who has experience in Sudans soil conditions. Maybe in the Nortern or Eastern state will be a good place to start. From what I understand this is where most of the gold is and has been found. I am pretty sure the 4500 will be perfect.

@@mohamadsiddig9666 I don't use the 5000 so I can't really comment but with both the 4500 and 5000 if you have the right setting for your condition and you walk over a nugget both will be suitable.

Enhanced looses deepness because it's designed for smaller target not deeper than 5" inches ......
