Hello peter, i am interested in the detech coils for my 5000 for gold detecting. I currently have been using the newer camo coiltek elites. Both 14" and 18" monos. I seen Matt on youtube using the detech 18 x 12 and 15 x 10 eliptical boomerang mono coils. Looks like he favors them. Also i seen alot of good about the newer detech 15" spiral "dd" coil. I am mainly looking for bigger gold at depth but i want to get a detech that runs quietly. Which one would you recommend out of the detech coils? Also im interested in your mods for the gpx 5000. Does it cost alot of shipping to send from USA? thanks

Had issues w/ vehicles and such for awhile and haven't had a chance to get out since I found your better instructions on the mod. Watched these 3 mods and have a couple of comments- Your test garden, what are size of targets and depth? Can you do something to improve voices, can't understand Watching the ol fella going over known targets, detector sounds off fine, yet when he keeps coil to ground between targets, it's too noisey for me. His swing sucks. He has the dreaded arc and not a flat sweep. I know bitch, bitch, bitch from the peanut gallery! Hopefully will be getting out soon; but really really wish you could get the voices louder and clearer on the videos tho. Know you can't help the funny way you talk. ;-)
Shep Shepherd Matt is from Eastern Europe and Herman the German is self explanatory, next time i will put on a southern accent for the Americano's. , Matt is pushing the detector a little hard to start and making lots of ground noise, he is using Normal timings and they are noisey, Herman is using fine Gold as the 5000 would also suffer from a lot of ground noise in normal timings, by the end of the third video the detector is working how it should.
I'm just kidding about accents, but if audio could be turned abit on the movies, would be good. I have hearing aids turned up and all volumes at max and barely hear :-(Make amps for lap tops?
