"Library" lol, it's amazing how fast one can fill up a 40ft HC container. I have 2 and a 20 and my wife calls the one 40 my 'shopping container'. We have shelving and lights down the middle of both. But what we do have too much of is 'stuff'. Enjoyed the process of your move and setup
Looks great , don't put any siding on it the municipality will charge you more property tax to use your own land . At least here in Michigan they do. You can't build a birdhouse up here without a permit and another tax assessment . That's what's nice about them storage units. I was just trying figure out how to get it to it''s final destination and with your help and others making these videos it sure helps a lot of us out . Thanks
Like the mod to the container wheels and you locking pins for the corner cubes. I was a little concerned that much weight on the bottom of the bucket may bend it.
I just added the parts I designed for the tongue in the description of the video. They are in a shareable cart on sendcutsend if you want to build your own.
There’s a link in the description to a cart on send cut send. I designed them myself, but in that cart you can order them. From the video click “more” and the links at the top.
The way you designed the tongue, it’s a perfect idea and the strap holding the tire . Just perfect. The columns made me buy exactly the type of square tubing. greatly appreciated. Almost forgot: the way to make a perfect level is awesome.🤙🏼
That is an evolution blade, and the saw is another brand but I like the evolution version better. Click the video and "see more" and there will be links to them. I'm adding them now, I didn't have them there before.
Where did you get the wheel axles from? Where did you get the locks for the toung ? Im in desperate need i have 4 loaded containers I must move yesterday.thank you.
There are links in the description of the video for all. The locks I designed and there is a link to send cut send for those too. it's a link to a cart where you can buy them. Adjust the quantity's to how your going to make it.
Thanks! It's a 30x70x16'6" tall. A lot smaller than my old one, so it's taking some getting use too. It is nice being able to keep it warm though. Has a nice loft on one end that will be cool someday. I added a cool old window to it looking over the shop. Here's a video of some of the inside while we were setting it up. ua-cam.com/video/v483SYyhGMY/v-deo.html
I'm new to the channel, looks like a great setup! When you moved the container could you have put the hitch at the opposite end with the wheels moved as well? I find it easier to back a trailer into position rather than pull it in and jackknife the tractor 😁
You just invented a tool You can make and sell. In fact you could start making a whole line of tools just for these Like leveling jack stands wheel sets and so on. Also tractor trailer trailers used old ones used to be the go to for outdoor storage and work shops. Stuff to bolt 2 shipping containers together and join them into a larger space roof components to cover both sides even axel and hitch as well as street legal lights for a work seight shop on wheels you can move around your property Single and dbl wide setups.
There are a few that make setups for moving them. Nothing will be "street legal" unless it's a complete trailer that the container can sit on. Otherwise it will have to be a permit per use situation. At least in my state anyway. I'm sure there are some loopholes one could try and use, but it's not something that could be marketed as street legal. everything I did could be refined better to make it easier to use.
Your thoughts about losing a minute....made me think. I've been telling people for a couple years that if I spend 5 minutes a day doing something stupid.....that adds up to 30 hours at the end of the year.....Nearly a normal persons full week of work. Probably 1/2 a self employed person's week. Just five minutes a day....
Sometimes adding things up like that can be a real awakening for sure. It really is crazy how much focus is on the present and not on the big picture / timeline.
Ummmm. These weigh 9,000lbs and I don't have space to drive a 40' container sideways. Plus, could you imagine being sideways on that hill for it's final destination with a 40' container on 9' forks? A lot of things to think about there, it's not that simple.
Damn, that's some serious progress. Looking great! I'm most impressed with the trailer tongue being so solid.
The hardest one. The rest are easy in comparison. Hopefully 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

Thanks! Yes, I am in the same boat with too much stuff.
I'll take some of your stuff, I have another 40HC coming
@@FourthWayRanch don’t temp us! Lol
That's just a law of nature.
Remember: The amount of stuff you have is directly proportional to the amount of storage available.
@@OneWildTurkey 😆
I can’t believe you can hold that whole thing over your head like that! You’re SO strong! 🥰
I hold the world record for the worlds strongest Pinocchio!
A gal with a healthy sense of humor, curiosity and fearless is a keeper.
For sure!
That turned out as a wonderfull storage solution.
Thank you for this fantastic video.
Greetings from Portugal.
Greetings!! Hope it’s helpful!

I was actually joking with my wife about bolting a couple wheels to it for that very reason. 😂
good work and its nice to see an ambitious, creative and confident
guy at work!
Thank you very much!
Great idea about the all-thread on the corners. Next time I level mine, I'm switching to that method!
Right on! Hope it helps!
good going dude , i bought the same thumb for my backhoe , watching your video gave me the idea
right on!!!
"That's what she said" 😂🤣😂 never gets old 😂🤣😂
😂🤣😂🤣

Thank you! That bucket is really thick. 36mm - 1 1/2”
You're a freakin genius!!! I've got the same problem with my container studio... thanks for sharing!!
You are so welcome!
Your wife is awesome 😂
Haha. Thanks. Don’t tell her though, she’ll get a big head. 😂
One down, four to go!
Ughhh. Don't remind me! 😁😁😁
Very cool video
Thank you!!
If it was a 20ft container. Would have been a lot easier.😂😂😂
I like your container apter. Nice Work!👌👍💯❤️
Yes, 20's are actually fairly easy to move. 40's are just sooooo awkward and intimidating.
nice work, inspiring
Thanks ☺️
Very informative thank you 💯

Thank you for the information
You bet!
Yes, good tips 💡
Thanks for watching!
Lay 2 X 6 in front of the key holes for the front to hold the square tube hitch up in alignment. Just make your job easier when attaching it.
that's a good idea. What I did recently is hang it from 2 ratchet straps that were hooked to the top corners. It worked really good too.
i used a 50 rope light which works fine for me
good idea!
How to get more friends: get a tire machine. Check! Hell I thought just owning a truck was enough!
😂
Something about "5 P's" comes to mind!!!!
😂
Did you make the oblong washers or buy them I’ve looked all over and I can’t find them anywhere.

Smart!

Great

The Mrs is a crack up
She definitely is!
what kind of blade and saw did you cut that big steel tube with, please?
That is an evolution blade, and the saw is another brand but I like the evolution version better. Click the video and "see more" and there will be links to them. I'm adding them now, I didn't have them there before.
@@DeathTollRacing awesome! thanks! I have a new evolution chop saw. I love it it makes super neat cuts!

Clever fella, I give 2 👍on the sketchy stuff, gotta live a little. What is your shop dimensions?

that guy can weld! Ya hear me?
lol thanks.
If you own shipping containers, you have to have the truck that's delivered them to. 😅😅😅😅😊
Cool ideas and progress. tHanks for the video.
Thanks! That was a stressful project. Always have the fear of it taking off down a hill and not being able to stop it.
"It stayed nice n tight " that what u said and "she said .😂🎉

Absolutely. If I were using a truck I would have, but with the skid steer, I was completely blind backing it (or pushing in that case)

What is that red car?
Datsun roadster
massive overkill engineering imho 😊
Probably. But better safe than sorry I guess.
Do you also do the vehicle repair? I have a GEO . Thank you
Just UA-cam mechanics for now.
That's what she said! LMAO
😂
Those are snail eggs.
Interesting! I was thinking they may be lizard. we have a lot of those blue tailed ones.
All you needed was a chain and hook for each eyelet. Over engineered
Then you’re bashing the crap out of the container, and turning is fun…. I’ve done it that way, it sucks unless you’re a hack.
It would have been easier to make 9’ fork and lift it.
