      I watched someone do this trick on UA-cam shorts and he shook it and the holes ended up opening back up on all 4 corners. How did he do that? His youtube channel is seandoesmagic and the video is called (is magic real?! #shorts) he is pretty cringe but I just came across it.

    I could see a routine where you pinch their signed card in front of them and switch it for the gimmick. And then switch it again at the end. Brilliant

    • @felipeperez8354
      @felipeperez8354 3 роки тому +3

      The only problem would be that you'll need to "get the hole back in position" before handing them their signed card, which kinda lose the essence of the trick of "moving the hole"

    • @magicdrummer411
      @magicdrummer411 3 роки тому

      @@felipeperez8354 I'll just end the routine with the final whole in the same position as the final move. That way nothing has to he out back.

    • @felipeperez8354
      @felipeperez8354 3 роки тому

      @@magicdrummer411 of course, that way it'll work perfectly, but handing them the card with the hole moved feels better imo, sad it can't be done

    • @danoneill84
      @danoneill84 3 роки тому +1

      @@felipeperez8354 you could get around it by “multiplying” the number of holes and covering a second hole when they’re signing it and during the routine there ends up with two holes so there’d be a surprise additional hole and memory being somewhat fuzzy they may gloss over the one hole being in same location.

    • @felipeperez8354
      @felipeperez8354 3 роки тому

      @@danoneill84 it's risky to hand them a pre-holed card to sign, but may work

    Best twist to make a trick better I have ever seen, this is so much more convincing, and it allows you to hand the card out at the end, brilliant.

    Thanks for this effect, Cav! One of the first tricks I bought was the moving hole trick you mentioned at the beginning (I won't mention the actual name). The best close up trick I have seen involved doing this with a dollar bill that was folded in fourths. The magician poked a pencil through then proceded to move the hole, with the pencil still in it. Then he gave me back my intact dollar.i do not remember him ever using a finger to hide the hole.
