A lot of people always say they're not impressed with jermaines performances of this songs but this song is hard to play and sing at the same time cuz it's hard to slap bass like that and sing like that. I give jermaine a LOT of credit for doing this how he's done it over the years. Plus it's my favorite of his songs :)
I like his live performances. I think he seriously doesn't get the credit he deserves. He had many solo hits throughout the 70s/80s but no one remembers that for some reason
yes very difficult to play bass and sing at the same time. especially that type of Bass Playing. because he's doing 2 different things at once. That's just crazy...
Exactly. People always criticize things they haven’t don’t before or can’t do. Try singing live and playing at the same time. You just can’t please everyone.
Jermaine can play bass and sing,..that's a hard song to do that on,..he's a bad boy !!! I'm like that,..I'd rather sing with my bass,..rather than just sing without it.
Jermaine Jackson have one hell of a voice i tell you that even when you listen to his recordings as a Jackson 5 when his voice come in there you can just feel that power of that song when your brothers left Motown records I'm glad you stayed because I don't think you would have had that super hit🎼🎙🎸🎶🎵👏👏👏👏
Another Jermaine song to listen to is, Do what you Did, Another is ,Tickle your fancy, Another is, Dynamite, Another is, Don't take it personal, And From years ago, when he sang lead with is brothers, the song is, Daddy's Home. And I almost forgot on his Let's get serious Album, the song is, Where are you now. Jermaine has always been talented, it's just that someone is always comparing him to Micheal. He needs to travel the road he's traveling, and don't worry about anyone else's journey. When you look at others, journey, you lose since of your own direction .Well, the best of everything to all the Jacksons. R. I. P. Micheal.
Omg i love him still. I saw the 1st part with Don't Take It Personal also. I crushed on Jermaine and Michael all through the 80's Lol Everyone should check him out bringing fire live on Showtime At The Apollo
See as child growing up with the Jackson 5, we did not believe that Jermaine and Tito were actually playing! But if you look up some of those rehearsals of the J5 back in the day, you see that Jermaine was playing bass and not faking! He's good!
Have you ever been to their live concerts in the early 70s? No disrespect but if you have, you could that not only were Jermaine and Tito playing, but also Ronnie on keyboards and organ, and Johnny on drums. Johnny was only 15 and played like someone with years of experience.
I am hungry for the performance of Jermaine Jackson on the Soul Train; It was on UA-cam at one time; apparently someone removed it by mistake; to arbitrarily remove this great Artist, with many more credits to his name is unfair to his past, present, & future FANS. A Jackson's Fan Forever. Thank you very much. I love this TV live performance as always.
This guy and his brother Tito were just teenagers who fronted very talented 4 piece band who managed to play those huge early hits note for note. Yet they weren’t even allowed to play on their own albums ! Very talented indeed !
Praise be to God Allah. Jermaine tore that bass up and sounded great on them vocals too. U can definitely see the family talent of the Jackson 5 of course as children and through their adulthood.
Damn slapping bass line and singing … wtf…jermaine has got some amazing skills… i can sing and play guitar but for some reason i find bass way harder to play and sing with
I might be the next Percussionist-Vocalist with Jermaine Jackson. My spiritual musical name is Nnknachawcha Akeem Shaalam ALPHA PHI ALPHA and Executive MIAKA
My grandmother was a full blooded lndian and the last surviving member of the tribe from Alabama. My family is from Hursbura(l think l spelled it wrong) 14 mills from Tuskegee Alabama. My great grandfather founded Tuskegee University in 1881, received their charter in 1911. His secretary was Ruth Hubbard and his head nurse was Mary Howard.
Very stilted, awkward wrap-up. Maybe 'Senio knew that the Porcelana Fade Cream promotional consideration acknowledgment was coming up? lol....... interesting choice of sponsors on this night! ;-)
Is this where we are now? Criticizing an f'n nighttime variety sponsor list? What about all of the shows in which TOILET PAPER manufactureres are the major sponsor? Asswipes! C'mon man, find something else to talk about. You f'n people.
Damn, he playing live and signing. Talent.
Pandemic listening, he killed it!
JERMAINE JACKSON SHUT THE SPOT DOWN ! ☆☆☆☆☆
Yepp on The Apollo stage also💓💓💓
Jermaine is killing it on the bass 🎸

Great performance, singing and playing on this one. He's using a lot of Arsenio's house band___meaning that he rehearsed them pretty hard on this one!

He just has alot of haters.

All the Jacksons are so talented Jermaine sounded and looked great he had his own style yet stay true to that Jackson signature style
Great to see him playing the heck out of that bass!

I heard Barry Gordy didn’t allow Tito and Jermaine Jackson to play on the Motown songs in the studio, but they played at their shows and concerts
@@DaMixWizard That is true! They did have studio musicians.
I love Mrs Jackson she is so pretty that is why her children are nice looking may God always keep her safe God bless
Mrs. Jackson at 0:17 beautiful as ever.

My brother plays and sing...and when he was in the Jackson 5ive, he danced too.
Much better than the Victory Tour version. I also noticed that he’s wearing the same jacket he wore in the Toronto show
This jawn rite here.seriously👏💞
Yea he was fine!😘
Great videos! thanks for posting!
5:05 "Roses are red. Violets are blue..." -- Mac Band
He sounds much better on this up tempo song than he did on the ballad (Don't Take It Personal) he did before this.

Janet looks a lot like Jermaine
Jackie and Marlon too.
They all look alike in some or another. They all have those almond eyes, cheekbones, jawline and smile.

i feel for jermaine in this inteview. with both bad and rhythm nation (mike's and janet's respectively) you can tell he just wanted attention
Yeah but at least Don't take it personal went to number 1, so he got to have some success around this time.
Why is his Mother sitting way in the back? LOL 🏳️🌈
0:53 His only hit single
*clue104* It's not true, but that's one more hit than you. Slow down on the shade, if u dont enjoy the music, move on.
Foster Mac It's a joke. I like his music.
I guess I should laugh then. No harm, no foul.
"Dont take it personal" ..is the jam! "I'd like to get to know you" also
Dont forget about Dynamite and DO WHAT YOU DO(which was just as popular as Lets get serious)
Hes smoooooth
