I remember when this came on t.v. on channel 7 in New York City in 1971 there wasn’t a kid to be found outside, everyone was home getting ready for The Going Back To Indiana Concert to come on. My sister was a teenager and I was a pre-teen and our mother told us if we wanted to watch it we had to take our baths first so we would be ready for bed after we watched it, It was so hard to go to sleep after a show performance like that!!! That's all we could talk about the next dayd at school. Then for Christmas our parents bought us the soundtrack and I played it and sang along almost all Christmas Day!!! It was so exciting!!!

I just lost it laughing at that. If I were at a J5 concert I think the black folks around me would have been checking if I were okay (as a white girl losing it over their music.) 🤣

🤔Many times I've seen this concert, first time noticing Jermaine playing "Stand" with a pick cause always knew he ripped playing overhand (finger style), slapping he's aw ight but first time seeing him playing with a pick though

My favorite group….best boy band ever!!!Hey but I hate they don’t do the original Maybe Tomorrow….Tito has a longer guitar section like on the record but they always cut it. The original show he played that long version. Still love this though!!!J5 forever!!!!!!!!

Tito's not playing on the record and those rehearsal scenes it's behind a backing track, him nor Jermaine played on any of the studio versions while under Motown

I realize you are probably programed to only like michael, but the point is both Tito and Jermaine played very well at all of their shows. BEST BOY BAND EVER!! JACKSON FIVE!!!!!@@GaryTisdaleFungkSta1

In the late 60s, early 70s, motown had it on lock for TV specials with their top singing performers. I saw this live, but I don't hardly remember it. The one with diana ross definitely remember seeing that live probably eight or nine years old

It was because he broke Josephs guitar string that there is a Jackson 5. Tito is a genius with his axe 🎸

This is an awesome find! Thanks so much for sharing, I've been a Jackson 5 fan since I was a kid in the late 60s/early 70s and their Christmas album has been a favorite since I got it at age 9 when it was released. My children love that album today as well. Thanks!

Michael said "I LOVE EVERYTHING THEY DO" (sly and the family stone). He loved the p -funk vibe. Don't let nobody tell you Michael Jackson wasn't funky ❤🎶.
