If you want lymphatic drainage, don’t do circles, do short straight strokes. That circular motion won’t move the lymph anywhere. You’ll still get good exfoliation, trust me! I suffer from lymphedema, and dry brushing has helped me SO MUCH. Plus it just feels good!
I would recommend dry brushing before a shower . You will see some dead skin shedding and I find it better to wash that off in the shower. Also for those curious if it works, it does. You’ll feel super energized afterwards just make sure to do it properly
Dry brushing is a MUST, especially if the person has lymphedema or lipedema. Dry brushing helps both of these conditions because these conditions cause lymph fluid buildup, and the dry brushing helps to move the lymph fluid.
I have few queries 1.Can we do dry brushing on legs just by sitting, on bed or we should do it by standing only? 2.Why circular motion is required, can we just do swiping upward motion? I also use rubber dish washing gloves with soft spike that feels so working...
Hi Natasha! It's truly a personal preference. For Dry Brushing, I suggest doing it before the shower if you lotion directly after. That way you can get your blood circulating!

I came to say that as that’s how I was taught

Thank you for this information, my mom has that, I will get us some brushes 🪥
I can tell you’re not lying by seeing your legs and chest. Good for you!! Do you use a particular lotion after you dry brush and shower?

Not all towards the heart. Arm pits, groin... 4 quadrants...
❤thanks! Doc. Will give it a try.👍😊
Wait, is it better before or after showering?
We love a Doctor Who promotes natural things yay🎉
Why not do it in the shower instead??? Because I have to put lotion on right after a shower or bath ??

@@DrKellyann ok thank you!!!
Just heard a doctor who claims it's dangerous for the skin...
@@LulluNatic prolonged dry brushing can cause hypersensitivity for some people. It’s rare though.
Kind of difficult to "dry" brush in an atmosphere where water is flowing over your body.
You actually move away from the heart, towards extremities, for stronger capillaries & proper lymphatic draining
You're so tanned wow
You didn't show the arms! 😮
