    Poles generally do not smile at strangers on the street, regardless of gender, age or skin color, and mind their own business. We open up when we get to know someone better. It's a cultural thing, not a sign of dislike. This is slowly changing, which makes me happy.

    For a Polish person, it's weird how many of those vids about Poland I watch but anyway, yours may be the most stylish yet. I love the music, editing, your thoughts and impressions.
    Hope you feel at home in Poland always!
    (and I must see Gdańsk already. it's a shame I haven't been yet.)

    As for being black in Poland. I am a white Pole, I come from the countryside and I went to school in a small town. The first time I saw a black person on the street was over 20 years ago when I was 15! Throughout all those years of communism, Poland was unopened or unattractive to immigrants. Only universities have been open to foreign students for several decades. The upshot is that you don't know anyone who has been robbed or beaten up by a black person, but when you go to the hospital it is very likely that you will meet doctors who come from Africa or the Middle East. People can be curious and will stare at you at times, but they are unlikely to be hateful.

    My Friend, next time when You come to Gdansk, You have defenitely visit "Westerplatte", so the place, where Second World War had started. You can go there by tourist boat, or by bus. Also You should pay a visit in Gdansk Shipyard, where Solidarity Movement get borned and where is great Museum of Solidarity. Near Gdansk You can find the largest castle in the world - Malbork. Also definitely worth seeing. You can go there by train.
    Lack of smile in Poland is caused by extremaly difficult history. 6 millions of Polish citizens had been mudered by Germans and another 2 millions by russians in the last World War. In Poland even now, after so many years, there is no family, which did not hurt during war. For example in Gdansk, always if we trying to build something, very often bodies, skeletons had been found. Death camps, gas chambers, street rounds - up, etc. This all is still remembered by every Polish person. Even if we not think about this every day, it is in our blood. Extremaly hard to explain.

    Mariacka Street is considered one of the most beautiful in the world. Gdańsk was a Hansatic city. The Hansa was an association of merchant cities in the Middle Ages. It was the predecessor of the EU. I recommend you: Poznań (the cradle of Polishness), Wrocław, Zakopane. In Malbork there is the world's largest castle built of bricks (50 km from Gdańsk)

    11:55 this ticket was discounted for students and pensioners, a normal ticket costs twice as much, for tourists the best is a 24-hour ticket for PLN 24, because you can travel everywhere by trams and the ZTM Gdańsk bus on one ticket for PLN 24 for 24 hours.

Lots of them are connected each other by the channels. This is North-East of Poland. Let me know if You want to see this :) I'm sure You will be glad of that trip. By the sail boat it takes 2 weeks to see that fron the North to the South. By the motor boat about 2 days. But We can go By the house boat ... this will take about 5days ... ;) Just let me know. We can do this this year if You want

    Hi Sheku, you are quite correct about Poles minding their own business, perhaps barring babcias. Just keep in mind that everywhere you will find bad apples and here we try to deal with them as we go. Race does not really have backing in science, but we can talk haplogroups - that actually makes more sense. Also genetically, we are actually less diverse than wheat - a one unhappy family. If anyone insists on there a race, we are all in it and it's a human race.

It looks like you have to go back :) I love my country and I love your videos. Especially this one about both of my beloved cities ❤ Thank you for all your kind words about Poland and Polish people ❤ Yes we are reserved at first but you probably already saw how we change when you start a conversation. Greetings from the woods in Wisconsin ❤

    Poland have only few % of black people because Poland did not had colonies and did not participate in slavery. Every black you see is here on vacation or is an expat. That something you should think about. If you come closer to the word slavic, you can find an similarities with word "slave". Slavs so (Poles, Czechs, Slovaks, Russians, Ukrainians and more), were first slaves and were slaves for centuries, taken by vikings or arabs.

      Ale gadasz głupoty. Słowianin jest od "słowa" czyli że słowianie to dosłownie "ci co mówią" (w tym samym języku) w przeciwieństwie do niemych czyli niemców. Hipoteza o niewolnikach już dawno nieaktualna.

    • @filipabramczyk5043
      @filipabramczyk5043 11 місяців тому +4

      Właściwie Słowianin pierwotnie był Sławianinem (widać to w polskich imionach), czyli pochodził od słowa "Sława" co miało źródło w walecznym usposobieniu plemion słowiańskich. Później uległo to przeinaczeniu. Żal, że Polacy powielają te bajki o "niewolniczym" pochodzeniu tego słowa, co później jest dalej popularyzowane. Sięgnij po książki człowieku i nie przynoś wstydu.
