Don’t stop is much more than a reversed waterfall - it seems to use that as a foundation then layer lots of other stuff over it - creating a sort of mellow cousin to waterfall and takes the album into a mellow psychedelic place - it’s my favourite track off the album. I love don’t stop. X

People who think this band is all about Ian Brown and John Squire have totally missed the point. Mani and Reni create a groove bigger than the grand canyon! Seen them at Heaton Park (which felt like the biggest party ive ever been to btw!) and Finsbury Park but would love to hear their whole set like this.

    • @datsunyellow2570

a great point. without reni they'd just sound like a grunge band (see the second coming gigs). people forget how important a groove is, not just the melody. we have evolved to dance, and reni and mani brought the funk. not many bands have the funk.

Hypnodelica I know. There was a point in giving us Don't Stop in the first place. Hard making the lyrics out back in the day, but it was a very emotional tune and I interpreted the lyrics as I pleased. Think we all did. The original was trippy as hell. It's a favourite of mine.

Look how much they absolutely love playing this. Such an incidental tune on the LP when it came out. My fave tune live every time i saw them on the comeback tours/s.

Love it. The highlight of the DVD extras for me. Love Mani's nod at the end, he knew they'd nailed it. More rehearsal footage please Shane Meadows

Reni is a genius and John Squire is a the coolest guitar maestro ever the strum a string. Love these guys so, so much.

a true mystery how ian brown can sound so abysmally awful so often live, and then here and there.....BOOM....literal perfection. the harmonies here are angelic....perfect.

The mark of a truly great drummer is to make playing look so easy. Reni does this and then some. Amazing musicianship

All talented musicians. good lord what chemistry. I have never seen this before. Most successful bands would kill for just a drop of this. Hope they use it and make us happy and better.

So sad it all ended before they could cut a new album. "Beautiful Thing" is a stunning track and a taste of what might have been.

My fav Roses song, this dosen't quite have the dreamy phychedelic feel of the original recording (obviously) but to see these four great artists at work is awesome, many thanks for posting

But in the context that the original recording was just Waterfall reversed with a few overdubs it's fucking extraordinary that they learned to play it live like this...
