I like your mindset and understand it even better when you speak German. I also like that you're explaining the program and not advertising yourself as other UA-camrs do.
I am so thankful for your Fusion VFX tutorials! Not only are you one of rare people to create these sorts of VFX tutorials for Fusion, but you are one of the clearest in your explanations. Your understanding of the program and what needs to be taught (and how to teach it) is the best I've seen. I look forward to your more complicated tutorials that involve match moving, masking, mattes, and even 3D objects (although my computer power will be woefully inadequate ;))!
Nicely done. I like your focus on the color correction aspect of this process. Looking forward to additional variations of set extensions with camera movement and perhaps some 3D to sell the parallax that inevitably results. Thanks again for your excellent tutorials.
Great tutorial. I learned new things, like the Flatten Transform checkbox in the Merge node. Also, knowing one way to use the Ultra Keyer was extremely helpful. Coming from Nuke, I am still wrapping my head around Fusion. Tutorials like this one are very helpful. Thanks. Would love to see more like this.
@@VFXstudy If you could do a tutorial about crowd replication or to be more precise something like this: vimeo.com/158215283 (I mean the effects that are shown in there).. I would be so amazed. Nevertheless I will follow your channel for sure!
A really nice tutorial like how you teach and explain things keep bring these kinds of tutorials, you should have much more subscribers than many of them on here that aren't that good of teaching stuff on here give you a 100/100
Auto Proxy is automatically activating a proxy mode while you are dragging parameters. During keying or detailed edge work etc. this can be annoying. In Resolve you find the Proxy and AutoProxy buttons via right-click on the bar with the playback controls. The Proxy level can be controlled within the Fusion settings.
Thank you for another awesome tutorial. As far as the turbine, I would have attempted to get a separation image (png) of the blades of the turbine solo, then animated it myself. This way I wouldn't have to deal with that tricky sky and moving turbines.
Thanks! It's the MOJO Silent mouse. There are other vertical models as well. I took this one because the click sounds are not so loud and annoying during the recordings. I don't have any medical issue but just find it more comfortable for those long hours at the desk...
Sure, but think they are most important for 3D. So if you have z-channel or even WPP then there are tools to simulate volume fog or at least depth dependent fog. Since I only used it for a single 2d element I didn't think of those tools.
One challenge as a (complete) beginner I am having. To challenge myself, I chose a different castle, cut a mask in resolve, then comped it in. In doing so, the two moving blades of grass on the now need to be over the top of it. I cannot determine how to track a polygon (holdout) to the moving blade of grass to have it as a holdout layer. I've added a merge node for a second layer of the background, to isolate the blade, but I can't seem to track to THAT blade of grass and apply that track to the polygon. Thoughts, anyone? Does this make sense?
@@mikeben9587 Yes, exactly. I have the first 8 hours or so ready but still more planned. I might do a pre-release in the next days with what I have so far..
Cool! On the turbine, I was expecting you to de-saturate the blue sky in your circular mask. Since the turbine is white, it probably wouldn't be affected.
Not completely white if I remember correctly. But yes desaturation will also get you part of the way I think but still need to check the brightness in upper vs lower part.

Oh sorry about that. Its DNxHR encoded. I thought Resolve and Fusion were supporting that on all Platforms? I know some Ffusion versions have problems with h264 and I believe one Resolve version had issues with ProRes. Anyone else having issues with this file type?
@@MrMateesek ok it should definitely work. Did you try to relink the media? Media offline just means that the media is not linked to the clip in the project.

Have a look at the 3d with camera tracking tutorial 😀

can you do a z depth pass rendered from Blender
Yes, you can. I'd put it into a multichannel exr and then select that in the channel section of the mediaIN or loader node.
