I bought the HP ENVY x360 15m-eu0023dx and the HP website said I had an Intel Wireless chip but my eyeballs showed it had a Realtek card . The best thing is I went to the Crucial site after watching another one of your videos and bought a 2TB SSD and 64gb of ram (HP said it only supports 16gb) which worked perfectly once I found the correct wireless driver
Great informative video Mr.Dale, it is hard to find laptop services that are honest and reliable. Wish u guys were here where i lived. Keep the video coming guys!
Thanks Dale. I just upgrade my Envy 360 to 64g ram. I do video editing using Sony vegas pro. The 1080p video editing was fine with 16g but say.. lining up 30min of 4k gopro mp4 video was causing the Vegas software to lock up. I went with 64 after researching the max my laptop could take. Thanks for the candid video. I had to also watch the HP page for the actual model of Envy I have. The cover is the hardest obstacle. I'm glad you showed taking the battery out and cycling the power button. Idk if I would have skipped that disconnecting and removing but after additionally seeing you do it I made certain to remove the battery. My laptop started up... bios message.. enter and it came up without a problem. Thank you for showing all of that. Good job sir!!
Yo Brock i hope you dont mind me asking but what was the exact ram you bought? and was it a 2 rams for the 2 slots or one? thanks in advance Im asking because i tried to buy one stick of 16gb ram so that i can get another later but it kept giving me a bluescreen randomly so I had to switch back to the old 4s
@@MohaTalalDo you have any update on how you made out with your new ram installation? I have a Envy x360 model number 15m-ds0011dx and the owner’s manual says it only supports up to 16gb of ram.
@@Thegrizful yes I did an upgrade of two 16gb Ram sticks, I took my laptop where i bought it, and it works perfectly with 32, but they had to find a specific ram stick that is compatible, the first one they put didn't power up the laptop, my model is a 15-ds1010wm same as the video here.
@@MohaTalal This is great to know. My Envy x360 currently is only running 8gb and HP says it only supports 16gb but on the Crucial website it says it can run 32gb. I’m glad to actually hear from someone that has already performed the upgrade. My model number is 15m-ds0011dx. Thank you for responding so quickly!!
Just got this exact laptop and thinking about upgrading both ram and SSD. Great detail and love all the tips and tricks throughout the whole video. Super mesmerizing to watch! Thank you so much!
A quick fyi. There are plastic strips under the original rubber, they connect to the back cover with plastic posts. The holes along the length of the area for the strips are where they go through. If having the rubber is important, you might want to have spares available as those strips will likely break in chunks. I think this was purposeful by HP to have a warranty indicator. Also, the cover is SUPER tight to remove the first time and gets easier to remove after a time or two.
Awesome video Dale I have this laptop and use it for my engineering classes and would like to upgrade my ram to 16gb as well I was wondering if you had any recommendations as to what to get.
Hi. I use crucial, Timetec, HyperX most often. Any good brand will work. Just try to match speed of current ram.. just open task manager, click on performance tab.
Not too long ago, I got a HP Envy x360 And one day, all of the sudden then touchpad, keyboard and touchscreen stopped working. It was not because they’re damaged, and not because of the drivers… do you know what it could be?

Your ex: "you're too chatty"
Me: "excuse me ma'am but he's saving my life. Please be quiet."

Great video. I think it’s the only video out there that showed how to remove the ram cover. Thank you!

If you leave the black tape on the shield, you can just flip the shield back out of the way and it helps keep things lined up when you reinstall.
9:23 it falls off of your finger into the fan right after you secure the RAM
Good Eye! It took me a minute, but discovered that. I figured it out at around 15:30. Ugh. thanks for watching.
Dale you do great work !
Thanks Ted!

Bloated battery?
Glad I bought an Acer. Terrible how that thing is put together.
What is the ram max?
Depends on the model number, but on most machines it will be 64GB
Can 32gb 2 x 16gb be used?
Did you try a 32gb with 2 16s?
So basically you break something of the shield and almost kill the fan, not good at all n
Torque security bit on a laptop why cause they want you too buy something else lmfao
