Thanks for adding your machine specs (I asked for that :) ) - and I *love* the fact that you don't show off V-Ray using the newest, fastest available machine on the planet - that shows great confidence in your product and respect to your clients and audience :) A big massive thumbs up :)
Amazing tutorial Thank you . but man i need help ... how do you added the "Moon" light to VrayEnviromentFog List ..... Im trying to add it like you did in 3:30 but its simply dont work , even if i untick the "use all lights " box . Please help .
Got a question. I'm unsure if I should start working with Arnold or Vray. Since I heard Arnold can't create hollogramic materials like the one you covered in a tutorial, I wondered if it was a better decision learning Vray when you go into the CGI Movie Direction?
please sir :D could you advise what type of lights environment fog will function properly? I want to create a film projector with it lights as volumetric effect towards the wall it is pointed to... 1. will a Vray plane with increased directional values work for this? or should I use 2. standard or 3. photometric light? thanks in advance, awesome tut!!
I actually just wanted to ask you if you could make a few more lighting tips and trick tutorials with vray.. or maybe how to get photorealistic texturing right with it, for example on a light bulb with dirt on it... And if you could generally post videos more frequently, maybe for 3ds max.. because you have good stuff :o
Hi I want to learn more about lights for exhibition and events. I was trying a lot for getting real picture effect on my renders... could you please help me to real effect on it.
Hi ChaosGroupTV, Thanks very much for the tutorial- Really helpful! I have however found a small bug, you are unable to use the Vray sun with volumetric lighting if you created it using the 3dsMax Daylight System!
Great. I liked it! Also it will be usefull to show the gizmo objects to bound the Enviromental Fog effect..| Отлично. Мне понравилось! Так же было бы полезно показать использование гизмо объектов для ограничения эффекта тумана окружения.
oh man.. I am following this and trying to apply the same concept to an outdoors forest scene.. nothing. Great tut regardless and hopefully it is just user error this end :(
