I’m supposedly from “eastern Ethiopia” which is truly is Western somalia under the Western aided “Ethiopia” (the quotation mark is because there’s no such thing as Ethiopia) military occupation, the parts of Ethiopia looks an alien land to me the highlands are green and beautiful. I will never go to that area as long as my region is under their direct oppression and military occupation but maybe in the distant future I can go visit once they leave my region and I hope it’s sooner rather than later.

An Ethiopian friend was telling me that if you are from one ethnic group and you're looking for a job in an area controlled by a different ethnic group then the likelihood of getting that job is very slim. He said that the state issued ID cards shows their ethnicity which is very troubling in my opinion. Basically the system is designed to ensure maximum division of the people. No wonder there is so much distraught towards each other.

An Ethiopian friend was telling me that if you are from one ethnic group and you're looking for a job in an area controlled by a different ethnic group then the likelihood of getting that job is very slim. He said that the state issued ID cards shows their ethnicity which is very troubling in my opinion. Basically the system is designed to ensure maximum division of the people.
