You don't need to stand in that line if you want to visit the Louvre. You can skip the line by using an underground entrance to a shopping mall that is connected to the Louvre underground. So just walk through the mall, buy some Starbucks or a souvenir and head on over to the museum! :-)
Lucie Mitregova wow thanks for telling us
+Lucie Mitregova Thank You lucie for the information , :D can you please market for us in photo ( the entrance ) and share the link with us ? thank you again
+Lucie Mitregova tell us more???!
+George Emad
Basically, there's a shopping center under the Louvre and you can access the museum from there. It's called the Caroussel du Louvre Shopping Centre and the entrance is 99 rue de Rivoli.

You still have to queue inside to get to the actual museum but you skip the first queue on the Cour Napoleon upstairs (the Pyramid place). There's also another entrance, Porte des Lions where you don't have to queue as much but you start at the extreme end of the museum (closed on Friday and late afternoon/night)
There are two bad ass halls where you wanna go check out some sculptures: the Cour Marly and Cour Puget. Looks like this:

The museum is closed on Tuesday and you wanna avoid weekends (especially the first Sunday of the month when it's free) and Wednesday before 18h00, the three busiest days of the week. Also Mondays might be dodgy because many other museums are closed that day.
The best days and times are weekday mornings and the Wednesday "nocturne" when the museum is opened till late (18h00 to 22h00). The least busy time is Thursday morning.
+BlunderCity Are you French? Just wondering when you think would be the best day of the week to have a day trip in Paris
As a French (but not Parisian-born), my favorite museum in Paris is Quai Branly, near the Eiffel Tower. It mostly focuses on traditional African/Oceanic art. Absolutely stunning and inspiring. If you ever intent a larger trip abroad France, I recommend cities such as Strasbourg (in the North East), Bordeaux, Toulouse, Lyon, Bretagne region... there is many others to mention but Strasbourg is my favorite.
I love Paris. The louvre could easily eat up your day and i wouldn't recommend rushing it. In my personal opinion, the only two museums you need to visit if you only have two days in Paris are the Louvre and Notre Dame. They are within walking distance or you can easily take the subway :). Also fun fact about the louvre if you were to look at every painting for 30 seconds it would take you about 2 years to see every painting.
Holy cow!
OMG that is amazing I am in Paris right now so I'll go to louvre
Notre Dame is a functioning Cathedral, not a museum. Also, beware of pickpockets there, especially if you look like a tourist. The first time we went there were little kids that would hand you a postcard (in English) saying they were starving and could you give them money while an adult would pickpocket you. The last time there were girls trying to get you to sign clipboards as the distraction. Basically try to look French and don’t get distracted.
I’ve been to the Louvre a few times and it’s a much better experience if you plan the highlights you want to see rather than trying to see everything. Not sure it would take 2 years, but it’s got over 8 miles of art, so yeah, not exactly they kind of thing you do in a day. They do have maps online, exactly like the ones they have at the Louvre, and you can print it out and plan your highlights. The last time we went we were only there for 3 hours and saw everything we really wanted to see! I also saw the tip about using the mall entrance...that’s exactly right! Easiest and fastest way to get in!
Also, one of the best touristy things we did was to take a Seine lunch cruise....it was about €60 for 3 hours and the food was great and you get to see a lot of Paris highlights, plus drink amazing wine!
@@amijohnson8987 thank you so much for ❣️
I'd still recommend the Orsay as well.
That's so sweet that you travel with your dad ❤ I love traveling with my folks too
So glad I came across your video... I've been researching about Paris for a while now yet never heard of this Paris Pass. we are only going to be there for 2 days too. Thanks a bunch!
If you want to visit the Louvre, you should know that it's closed only on tuesday. And they took all of the lockers off the bridge for security reasons, you can't put them anymore. Best hot chocolate in Paris : L'Appolo, close to Montparnasse's Tower. You have to visit Montmartre, it gives an amazing vue of paris
Thanks for the video! Just for 10 minutes so much information! Yes, I did purchase the Paris Pass as well when I visited that amazing city last time. I was so jubilant that I didn't waste my precious time in Paris standing in lines.
WOW!! That church is incredible!! Great Paris vlog, love how most of it is still relevant in 2018! x
Thank you for much for posting this. We are headed to Paris for exactly 2 days (after a week in London), so this was /perfect/. I fully expect to head back at a later time, so we're just going for the highlights. Thank you, from Chicago!
This video was fabulous, thanks for making it! I've been to Paris so many times but still managed to add one or two things to my list for my ext trip now 😃
Thank you so much! a friend and I are planning a trip early September so this was super helpful. God bless ya!

I'm planning a trip to Paris in October and your video was a god send! I had no idea about the Paris Pass. So finding that out is a huge plus. Thanks!
Great video! I appreciated the bits of history and information that you provided along with the spectacular views. Thank you.
Cant wait to see paris next week for 3 days! Thanks for the tips!
My all-time favorite monument/view is from Sacre Coeur. Anyone who goes should go to the top then walk down to the Moulin Rouge. The BEST view in Paris, and its free!! :)
Thanks for this.. sure i will try this in june
I love your video! France is beautiful! My family and I just got back from a 3 week vacation in Europe where we stopped in France and visited the country town of Belleau Wood and the city of Paris. We love Paris! There is so much to see and do. I recommend eating a croque massure. Delicious! - Michelle
Thanks for the recommendations! Can't believe you managed to cram so much into 2 days - solid effort!
She did a ton of stuff! Great for planning a trip to paris.

Polly Wang Thanks for watching and hope you have an amazing time :)
omg i wish i saw this before visiting Paris. Really useful video! Will definitely refer to it when i visit Paris again! thanks for this video!! :)
Really great tip about the pass. Combine that with a tour with a local and you are pretty set for a great trip.
Thanks for the tips. Actually putting some of these on my list. Going for the first time in September!
The 69 & 42 bus routes are a cheaper and better option than the hop on hop off bus especially in winter. Great clip though very informative. Another suggestion would be a walking /café tour of the left bank - the best part of Paris.
Very cool! Love it girl!
Very informative video, just what I was looking for. Thanks ❤️
Very good video. Condensed and informative. I enjoyed your enthusiastic and upbeat dialogue. Thank you, Patty :)
She does a great job!! Paris looks incredible - we want to go right now!
I think it was great you went with your father! Great memories!
Just got back from my Paris trip as a solo lady traveler! Finally! I've got to see the Eiffel Tower, Sainte Chappelli, Louvre, La Opera and so on.. I guess I am very lucky, so far all the people I've come across with are all nice to me- to mention vendors of crepes near Eiffel Tower, Big Bus Drivers and operators.. I love Paris, I will definitely come back again and will advice my friends to try traveling alone. I guess that its very safe its just how you handle yourself.. But I just noticed that there are a lot of construction going on, some museum or tourist attraction are close...
going to Paris next year....Cannot wait
Thank you for this great video. I am heading to Paris on a short notice and got only 2 night stays. Your tips are going to be really helpful ....

Super helpful and informative video! thanks!
Love your travel vlogs. You should do a travel series like: how you pack your carry on bag, what's in your travel makeup bag, what's in your purse; etc. Since you travel so often, you must have some great tips on how to stream line packing for a trip.
emmie lyn that's a good idea! :) thanks :)
I second your request 😜
Thanks for the info! My next visit will be paris in a few months time ❤️
you cover paris better than any other videos. your camera took the whole shot just through my eyes

Really like this guide! I did some similar things as well!
Can’t wait. 2 more weeks!
I wanted to cry when Notre Dame was featured. It'll never be the same again. I regret I don't have any pictures of the inside the last time I was there, but I'll always have a memory of attending mass there.
This gave me a lot of ideas thx (also my friend told me to comment, love this banger) so love this bangerrr
Roseanne, I was only there for one full day in early seventies, no hotel space or miles due to International Business Exposition. Crossed the Chanel in the ferry, met two students living in Paris on crossing, from Corfu, studying Hotel Management at the Sorbonne, I think. We had gruel with them there, and a friend located a room for overnight only kept special for hoteliers. We got wine and walked to Moulin Rouge, and around the corner to Pigalle, I think it was called. Oh, we ate at a Vietnamese Restaurant built into the stones of a bridge crossing the Seine. Up early, Left Bank, Notre Dame from outside, Mona Lisa and train to Amsterdam. The only time we used the Eurail Pass, alas. So, next time you go, please try the Musee D'Orsay as it was not built when we were there.
Thank you for a tasteful and informative video! Paris Pass! Great to know.
Hi Roseanne,
