Both of you really ought to. I've made a point of doing a lot of the touristy stuff here in North Carolina, it really does give you a better feel for the place you live, and consider this, people are paying money to come from far away to see those places, maybe they know something you don't!
it is not just you guys. We like to take things for granted. That is what humans love to do. That is what I am trying to eliminate in the people I meet. But it's happening.. one by one, one by one... keep it up with the good videos, both of you:)
Love your videos! My son and I will be there in July. Thank you for mentioning The Churchill rooms. This is definitely something we will want to check out! Also, we are not bringing a lot of clothes and plan on doing some shopping while there. Where's a good place to get clothes, for men and women, at a reasonable price?
i live in Kensington down the road from harrods and on my days off i love walking around the centre, It's so big that you will see new places every time
The H in Buckingham Palace is silent. If you see any place name in England with ham in it. The H is always silent. And the clock tower every tourist calls Big Ben is the Queen Elizabeth Tower. Big Ben is the bell that chimes.
I've lived in London my whole life, incredible city :) I love to call this city my home :) one of my favourite places to go in London is Covent Garden :) there's a lovely restaurant just round the corner called 'Joe's chicken shack' that I have eaten in quite a few times, it's a good recommendation for you for your next visit!
Hi Roseanne! Excellent video. Me and a friend are going to London for the month of June. I once lived in London for a brief time as a student traveler 36 years ago. I was there about four or five months and stayed in a flat off of Oxford Street and it was magical then and I’m so excited to be going back finally! Hope you’re doing well and still traveling best of luck.
Try escaping the centre. Jump on the 176 outside the Garrick Theatre on Charing Cross Road. Stay on it for 45 minutes and you'll reach the Horniman Museum on Sydenham Hill. It's like a sort of mini British Museum crossed with the Natural History Museum. Lots of masks, lots of musical instruments, lots of stuffed animals. And an aquarium in the basement. And great views. And Sydenham Hill Woods nearby.
this was a good selection of places, I'm glad you mentioned Brixton too. Brixton has improved leaps since it run down days and bad reputation, completely transformed.
I really enjoyed watching your video. I'll be going to London this summer in June with my family. I have two children age 6 and 9, do you think they'll enjoy all the places you mentioned? Are there any other places I should take them?
I only live 45 minutes away and love coming here to shoot urban portraits, will have to check out Gelupo on my next visit in 2 weeks, but next time you'll do well to visit the Sky Garden, I've recently been there and made a movie
The "London Bridge is Falling down" was NOT name for the actual bridge, it was named after the old and original bridge that is now a days located in Arizona, USA
I love your video. My family and I recently got back from a three week European vacation where we visited England, France, Italy and Greece. It was an amazing time. In England we stayed in the country. We want to see London when we go back. I look forward to seeing more of your videos!- Michelle
If you have a day in London, my recommended route is get the tube to Borough Market, walk through the market, taking in all the sights and smells, maybe buy lunch /breakfast. Next, make your way up on to the South Bank, swinging by the Globe and seeing if you can get "groundling" tickets for a fiver for the evening. Then walk along the South Bank, perhaps swinging by the BFI speak easy if you want, definitely check out the second hand book stall and the nearby skate park under the bridge. Continue along the South Bank to the Tate (great for kids), check out the turbine hall and definitely some of the exibits. Then take a lift to the 10th floor (the viewing platfom) to marvel at London's sights for free, a great alternative to the heinously overpriced shard. you should then cross to the other bank, walking through Somerset house to avoid the roads (you might want to have a quick look at the paintings in the Cortauld) and walk through Trafalgar square, then head towards the Mall and walk up (it's long btw) towards Buckingham ("h" is silent btw-Buckingem) Palace. You might then want to stop of at Hyde Park and relax for a bit. Then mooch until your showtime at the globe. Make your way towards the globe, giving yourself perhaps an hour and a half for travel if unfamiliar with the area. After the show, which will presumably finish late, you can take a stroll along the lit up south bank, maybe stopping for a drink and finally heading back home.
Hi, Question: When we google Covent Garden, we find its a huge market selling all sorts of produce. But on your vlog it looks like a cool place selling knick knacks and make up. are both places the same? Anyway cool vlog! We're going to London in soon and you've given us alot of places to look out for!!!!
+Joe KooL...It was a large fruit and vegetable market until 1974 but that was relocated to its new site, New Covent Garden about three miles (5 km) south-west at Nine Elms. The central building re-opened as a shopping centre in 1980, with cafes, pubs, small shops and a craft market called the Apple Market. Since then continuous development has turned it into the shopping and entertainment centre that we know as Covent Garden.
Typical! No Tate Gallery, The British Museum. The Museum of Natural History, The Southbank. the Underground, Madame Tussauds, Hyde Park, Hampstead Heath, Theatre, Trafalgar square, Leicester square, and of course London night life! Try an English Country pub on a Sunday.
Something you have to do is go on one of the ferrys that you see at 4:38 They go under bridges and you learn so much and the ride is great fun, especially on a sunny day. So if you have the time, go on one!
The changing of the guards happen every other day, it does change depending on the time of year. You can also to into Buckingham Palace during the summer, but book in advance, as it gets busy!
Apparently there’s a couple months when you can go In, August and September I think, when the queen goes to stay at a different castle. I’m booked to go inside in September, but unfortunately won’t be able to vlog it as you can’t take cameras into those areas. Might be able to vlog the gardens though, fingers crossed haha.
while you were in england you should have gone to the countryside as it is so beautiful and you should have explored outside of london and in to berkshire
Yes, the Oyster card is a re-loadable transit card. You pay a deposit to get one, and can get that refunded before you go. Then you can pre-load the card with money and travel on the tube, buses and some trains.
Around £1400 would be OK for everything (accommodation, transport, food and some shopping) For sure no less than £1000. But it depends...if you are staying with friends, or in a sharing room with 9 other people, and controlling every single penny,...then maybe £700-800...It depends on your plans...
I have family in London so it makes things a lot better, it really depends on your budget - if you AirBNB and pack your meals and willing to do more free things like museums etc. But I'd say around 800 - 1K.
Contrary to popular belief it need not be too expensive to visit London. Check out timeout website or trip advisor for free things to do- all of the major museums for example. Eat in pubs rather than expensive restaurants where a main course is typically between £10 and £15 pounds, or eat early evening in central London and take advantage of "pre theatre" fixed price menus. For food I would say £20 per person per day will allow you to eat well. Travel (using Oyster cards) £10 per person per day. Attractions - depends entirely on what you want to see, but so much is free. I would allow myself £50 for a week to allow me to go to two or three paid for attractions. If you want to go out and hit the bars or clubs in a big way you should allow between £5 and £10 per drink, depending on where you go. Entry to most bars is free, clubs and some bars charge a few pounds especially later in the evening. Avoid black taxis which are amazing but expensive- take the tube or bus where possible.
go to a pub order fish and chips (and a pint of beer) and get yourself a cup of tea (don't get it from costa though just get it from a local coffee shop)
From a spiritual Londoner, I recommend: -The Tower -St Paul's -Shakespeare's Globe -A tour on the BB Bakery afternoon tea bus. -The Jack The Ripper tour. (Strong stomach and interest in criminology/history required. Warning: they have the original crime scene pictures). -Everything in Camden Town OMG that's my hoooome.
Is the Jack the Ripper Tour good?!! I'm so excited to go on the tour but still unsure whether it will be worth it or not. I'm studying Criminology at uni & love history so I hope it's good!
I have been seen before seven yrs ,but now reviews my memories, while you are introducing about these places as London eyes,London bridge, parliament House of London, Buckingham palace, themes rever touring by a beautiful cruise up to O2 arena , London eye ,Sea life, evening period l walked with spouse, daughter, eldest son & spouse , grinwitch top area and verios palaces in london, eating, fooding, traveling by bus, train with and without pilot, London verios palaces verios tubes and verios other famous palaces also . Amazing video!! Really love your content, you're already an inspiration to me. I'm from the Netherlands and decided to make videos on UA-cam in English. I lived in London and made a lot of videos. I make a lot of travel videos as well. Love, Fleur
I went to covent garden and exactly behind that street performer was like ten homeless people, it's really sad that you can be in a city where one second your surrounded by expensive shops such as Dior and channel and the next your seeing helpless people on the streets
Agreed. We live in San Diego and it's the exact same thing. One second you're in beautiful shops and then you turn the corner and there's a community of homeless people.
i lived in london all my life i have never been onbroad but i do alot of travelling around london when im not busy its a pretty country and i love England
you were only in Central London, the whole of london is so much bigger! There is west london, south london, east london and north london, i would not reccomend going to places like east or north london as they are what would be compared to like houses in rough parts in brooklyn and stuff, but west london there is nothing to visit, but its just were people live
Kemmanuel what are you talking about? North and east london also have great places like hamstead heath, alexandra palace, camden, Highgate, primerose hill, shoreditch, hoxton.
Great video! I'll be going there late August 2019 and plan to shoot my own videos. I'll have to check out some of your recommendations, keep up the good work and I'll check out more of your London videos!

Mr Rohit Shah tried to cover maximum part of London in that two and half days. As he stayed in London for these many years he know each and every corner of this city. Best place to have Indian food. Best place to go for Shopping Near M and M Chocolate shop there is Underground pub for youngster he said at a time there are thousands of people. Travelling in London is quiet costly so we travelled through public transport. Wherever we went he used to first avail seats for us be it in Tube or in Bus. He even clicked photos for us at each and every place. He got us water bottles, umbrellas, coke can from home for our travel through out our day. He used to come with all possible possibilities where we can spend our maximum time in city. So we traveller from all age background could able to enjoy the stay in London. At end we thanked him lot for such kind of humble behavior in London It was really sad that he would not accompany us for Europe trip. Suggestions 1. Please visit the places I missed. 2. Extend your stay in London for atleast 4 Days that you can travel depart on 5 th Day 3. I'm studying abroad in England in the fall and I can't wait to take a trip to London while I'm there! I'm so excited there is so much to do and see...maybe I'll have to make multiple trips
Waterloo Bridge has the best view out of all the bridges and in terms of a bird's eye view, The Shard has a far better view of the city than the London eye does. Plus you can knock a few cocktails back whilst you're at it.

Lol, I have lived in London my whole life and have never done any of these. Except going to covenant garden and been on a double decker.
Haha it's like that I guess, I haven't done most of the touristy stuff in Singapore either!

Tiddybeth THANK YOU my biggest pet peeve is calling the Elizabeth Tower "Big Ben" 😭
I understand your point, but HG Wells called it "Big Ben" too.
do we say 'Queen Elizabet'?
sometimes I say Bucking-H-am Palace and sometimes I don't. It doesn't really matter

I once lived in London for a brief time as a student traveler 36 years ago. this was a good selection of places, I'm glad you mentioned Brixton too. Brixton has improved leaps since it run down days and bad reputation, completely transformed.
Awesome video! Always nice to see an individuals fav places in London or any city they visit.
what are yours?
I really enjoyed watching your video. I'll be going to London this summer in June with my family. I have two children age 6 and 9, do you think they'll enjoy all the places you mentioned? Are there any other places I should take them?
Also, make sure to visit Kew Gardens! It’s really nice and colourful 😁
Great video! I have to do the other things when i get the chance to go back to london! I just love the place!
I only live 45 minutes away and love coming here to shoot urban portraits, will have to check out Gelupo on my next visit in 2 weeks, but next time you'll do well to visit the Sky Garden, I've recently been there and made a movie
Great list!! I'm going to have to book mark this for my trip here!
*Very nice video. And so smooth. I love to make the videos about Camden market so much!*
The "London Bridge is Falling down" was NOT name for the actual bridge, it was named after the old and original bridge that is now a days located in Arizona, USA
Just an fyi… the original London Bridge that was falling down as in the song was relocated to Lake Havasu, Arizona.
I love your video. My family and I recently got back from a three week European vacation where we visited England, France, Italy and Greece. It was an amazing time. In England we stayed in the country. We want to see London when we go back. I look forward to seeing more of your videos!- Michelle

Wow! It's nice I will go there

I think the tallest building at 4:47 is the sky garden , you have to go there it's amazing!
Going in March! Cant wait.
I've lived in London for 10 years and still haven't explored all of it!! So much to do!
don't take it for granted, explore:)
+sumerolu...I agree. Makes you realise how much there is to see in London.
English Country Pub in London ???
why the underground though, just overcrowded, sweaty commuting hell
This is her own personal list. She's clearly into food more than museums. Why don't you make your own list?
Why won't you make a video then?
I went to London five years ago and loved it!! Hopefully I can get back there again soon when I have the money

They go under bridges and you learn so much and the ride is great fun, especially on a sunny day. So if you have the time, go on one!

I'm visiting London next month and this video is making me so excited! 😇😇😇✨
Yay! Have fun!
What is the name of your bus pass? I found an oyster pass online but I am not sure if that is the correct one! I leave to go to London August 7. :)
Yes, the Oyster card is a re-loadable transit card. You pay a deposit to get one, and can get that refunded before you go. Then you can pre-load the card with money and travel on the tube, buses and some trains.
Thank you so much for giving the prices! You are a time saver!!
Shake shack is just maybe in the USA kinda where it started and is based at.
Roseanne how much money do you recommend to bring for a trip to London for around two weeks?
Around £1400 would be OK for everything (accommodation, transport, food and some shopping) For sure no less than £1000. But it depends...if you are staying with friends, or in a sharing room with 9 other people, and controlling every single penny,...then maybe £700-800...It depends on your plans...

it's a lot cheaper now !

Great video!! Really useful for students of English!! Good job. Congrats and Greetings from Spain!
If you want actual shopping you can go to Westfield Mall in south London or something. It is the biggest shopping complex in Europe
go to a pub order fish and chips (and a pint of beer) and get yourself a cup of tea (don't get it from costa though just get it from a local coffee shop)
Love it! We've never been to London but we'd love to go and having fish and chips and beer in a pub sounds awesome
What kind of plugs do they use for my electronics? Also where is a good place to stay that's not too expensive. I'm going for a 2.5 days.
Flatt look on hostel bookers, tripadvisors etc
From a spiritual Londoner, I recommend:
-The Tower

You should try the HMS belfast

I live here in England/London and by the time I was 3 I had done all of these.
GO LONDON DUNGEONS AND MADAM TUESAUDS! Sorry if I spelt it wrong.
Hey what was the name of that place where u went in the end of video for shisha
I went to covent garden and exactly behind that street performer was like ten homeless people, it's really sad that you can be in a city where one second your surrounded by expensive shops such as Dior and channel and the next your seeing helpless people on the streets
Agreed. We live in San Diego and it's the exact same thing. One second you're in beautiful shops and then you turn the corner and there's a community of homeless people.
Great video... really enjoyed liked and subscribed!

you were only in Central London, the whole of london is so much bigger!
Very symphatic👍🏼

This Local friend of Mr Sanket soon became our good friend.
He was so humble that he used to be with us wherever we go.
Mr Rohit Shah tried to cover maximum part of London in that two and half days.
As he stayed in London for these many years he know each and every corner of this city.
Best place to have Indian food.
Best place to go for Shopping
Near M and M Chocolate shop there is Underground pub for youngster he said at a time there are thousands of people.
At end we thanked him lot for such kind of humble behavior in London

Jetsada Khumyong am going to be in London 03/07/19- 03/10/19
I love London city and I am always I hope to visiting it , can you help me how I can to get visa to british
Keep dreaming of going to London, thanks for bringing the sites to me
great video
