This is so cathartic. Please keep making these.
+Chez Lindsay This! Let's just have Nostalgia Chick review all movies ever. Solved! I wish I could find more reviewers that don't find it necessary to constantly scream about everything. I love how you people still watch it inspite of supposedly "hating it". Hatewatching is a thing I guess.
@@jaideepshekhar4621 you are on bobvid's channel in a series called "everything wrong with everything wrong with", which has the purpose of pointing out how ridiculously bad cinemasins' reviews are. You are not on cinemasins' channel, we are watching a person point out what is wrong with cinemasins. This is enjoyable for people who dislike cinemasins. This is not hatewatching, it is just normal watching.
One small thing: because you find out in Winter Soldier that HYDRA was controlling SHIELD the entire time, I always assumed that Strucker was merely given the scepter, as opposed to nabbing it.
+megapants444 you're absolutely right!
Just saying, you sir, are my hero
@@bobvids: I SO need video editing software to make sin vids of Th3birdman's sin vids. They'd be shorter than what CinemaSins does, but would definitely be more accurate than what CinemaSins does, as I'd be pointing out mistakes Th3birdman made

Also, I have Canva, but not sure that's what I need
I can't tolerate Black Widow or Hawkeye slander. Especially when Black Widow has arguably the best arc in this film, and Hawkeye is so very clearly meant to show a human, grounded side of the team. Hell, I think there's even a line about it.
H Squared the only reason i can see hate for hawkeye is that he is alot weaker and more pathetic in the movies then comics
he is not weaker, he just doesn't get enough screentime. Remember in avengers one where he managed to shoot Loki from miles off without even looking and predict Loki to catch the arrow so it could explode, he has plenty of scenes like this but too many are forgotten or just not enough shown
Although it has nothing to do with her character and instead is all about how the movie is directed but I guess him saying "incomprehensible black widow action" _at the very least_ comes from somewhere since yes, as many have stated, modern action films tend to be shot in a way that doesn't really make the action easy to understand. But, then again, it's far from being exclusive to her, as far as I know...
Okay, i like Hawkeye, I think he's a great character andd I'm always happy to see him, but he's a pretty useless character
She had zero arch in this

HE MADE A NEW VIDEO!
I just wanna that cinemasins is just FUCKING PISSING ME OFF HE CLEARLY DOESNT WATCH THE MOVIES GE MAKES VIDEOS ABOUT
seems the youtube channel Shaun has made a few videos also about the problems with cinemasins, check those out too
It should also be noted that even in Steve's "Happy Memory" Despite it being a post war celebration, he has trouble seeing things as what they actually are. The man with the wine stain getting wiped up makes him think of someone trying to care for a bullet wound, the constant flashing of cameras, the corks of champagne evoking gunshots. All of this coupled with the inability to live without war doesn't come off as a Happy Memory. But when has cinamasins ever put the time into actually dissecting a movie and its scenes.
I'd say it's like PTSD
@@mohammadalbader3538 Makes sense that cinemasins would think PTSD is a good, happy thing
Was CinemaSins even paying attention to this movie?
Their take on The Winter Soldier is even worse. Since the screenwriter wanted to make the script honest trailer proof, there really isn't much on logical leaps in the movie, but boy, is Cinema Sin trying. Mostly by forgetting what the movie already explained.
Paying attention?!?!!! The fuck is that shit? Cinema is about escapism!! I don't want to have to use my brain in a movie!!! (this is sarcasm, btw :P)
Just wait for Civil War....
They pay enough attention to sin the movie for a plot point they were told and missed, and then sin the movie again for the plot point they missed earlier apparently not making sense to them in a different context.
See - "didn't you take the scepter?" when SHIELD of course did, and SHIELD was compromised by HYDRA; and set that against the later sin (both featured in this video) where Hawkeye talks about his off-grid family and sins actually talks about SHIELD being compromised as a reason why this doesn't make sense.
Shaun and Jen is a channel that made a handful of "everything wrong with cinemasins" videos and found several examples of these wholly contradictory sins in their "everything wrong with everything wrong with Mad Max" video.
Humorously, by using Cinemasins' own criticism of two statements made in the film that they thought were contradictory.
They are just making jokes.
I'm tired of hearing how Black Widow and Hawkeye have "no powers". Hawkeye has preternatural aim -- he's _superhumanly_ proficient with that bow. Black Widow has the combat prowess of legendary martial arts characters (you know, the ones you complain about all the wire work and unrealistic power and speed), not to mention her psychological manipulation skills, and extensive knowledge and experience in spy craft. They do heroic things that normal people can't do. That's a superhero.
Chill out, she's not on par with LEGENDARY masters. She's not on the level of Bruce Lee, Karate Kid (DC Comics not the movie.), or Batman.
She'd get punked by Deadpool.
And yeah spies are cool, but there is a reason the US doesn't send in CIA Agents when shit hits the fan. That's just not what spies do.
There is a reason Russia has an army and not just a bunch of super spies to fight their wars.
Spies are cool, but soldiers fight battles. Soldiers are trained to kill. It's literally the entire point of their training.
For espionage and stealth, a majority of training is to avoid being detected altogether and to accomplish things behind the scenes.
It's not all asskicking and it's a lot more boring than you'd think. That's because if you're getting caught and having to fight out of situations all the time....you're a shitty spy.
superstringcheese people complain when she is thrown into city wide battles where she has no place being. Like you say she has a place in the avengers and would no doubt be far superior in say infiltration than the Hulk, but it is a fair complaint when we are meant to imagine that she can keep up in a huge scale fight.
Then I suppose the military and police are also useless in the last movie. What with them doing everything they can to evacuate civilians from a full scale battle.
Beni
The point is that Black Widow can kick ass and does so in film so why the fuck would you complain...
jesus christ stop being so ignorant
Beni Bruce Lee was not a fighting expert.
The thing I love most about the Captain America vision that you actually missed out on is that it's basically a very accurate representation of what PTSD would have looked like for Steve in that time. The bright flash of the camera makes him flinch because it looks to close to an explosion. The noise in the dance hall is distorted and disorienting because the only other time he's heard noise that loud is on the battlefield. The men are laughing, but Steve keeps seeing them as bleeding from gunshot wounds because that's how he's used to seeing them. It's not just that he can't go back, it's that even if he did he couldn't really be there the way he could before the war. And it's not just Scarlet Witch who's messing with his mind, it's his own mind as well.

24:41. You’re discussion of how Quicksilver perceives everything, including conversations, in slow motion, was wonderfully written by Peter David in an X-Force comic, I believe his last issue as writer, in which Quicksilver is asked why he’s always rude to everyone, and his response is “you know how frustrated you get when you’re waiting at an ATM behind someone who doesn’t know how to use an ATM? That’s what every interaction with everyone else feels like to me.”
Nice observation.
I'm incorporating that "Tony programmed Avengers Tower with an I'm-A-Dick fingerprint scanner" into my head canon
A late response (I only just discovered these videos), but after watching Thor: Ragnarok and seeing that Tony programmed the quinjet to only recognize Thor as "Point Break" I can totally see Tony being a dick to Cap as well with the fingerprint scanner idea.
@@kmac169 In slovak dub, Thor was “Goldielocks”
"Powers don't make a hero"
That is really a powerful quote. Really great.
Something I've said in many circles, that concept is lost on many ignorant fans. Otherwise why give them super powers if they are a means for fans to get off on fawning over. What is the point on making them superheroes if what matters is the powers. That's like saying what matters to being a cop is a gun. Or what matters to being a fire fighter is that fire ax or water hose. What matters to being a data analyst is their keyboard. The powers are a tool to a superheroes JOB not WHO they are.
If Power Rangers taught me anything its that. They can lose the powers, zords, weapons, all of it, but they will still keep up the fight.
Ginanjar Putu Wijaya I got The Incredibles vibes from it
As you can see with character like Muman Rider from One Punch Man, what matters the most isn’t how powerful a hero is, it’s how strong their will is to protect the innocent and uphold justice. Anyone can be a hero if they’re willing to risk their own safety to save someone else, and it’s this selflessness that truly makes them special and useful regardless of ability.
Also from a narrative standpoint, we don’t connect and sympathize with characters because of their abilities, we care about them because of who they are, their fears, hopes, and convictions. So it really shouldn’t matter how powerful a character is, only how they’re written.
Duh, super villains have powers too
That “Hawkeye mind control” scene was actually one of my favorite moments in this movie. To me, this is more than a joke, it’s the film makers noticing and acknowledging an opportunity to rehash a plot point from the first Avengers and openly rejecting it.
Also, I think it just logically makes sense. Hawkeye is supposed to hang back, watch from a distance, and as soon as he sees his friends dropping like flies, he goes on high-alert.
I try to imagine what Jeremy's ideal versions of these movies might be based on the sins videos and I just come up with a nondescript mess devoid of anything fun or exciting.

“Lazy, incorrect criticism” is the best description of CinemaSins I’ve ever heard.

“Also too much information.”
This actually made me like Age of Ultron more, so thanks for that.

LaZodiac Sorry but no. Can't agree on this.
Same here
yea, but you can still see some of the complaint you cant ignore it sometimes but it does help ease the badness of some movies
Spader was really fun as Ultron. I found I liked it more now than I did back then.
I appreciate that "I'm only joking so I'm immune to criticism" defense being dragged out and stomped into the dirt, where it belongs.
CinemaSins is, when all is said and done, anti-art. There is no defense. It's negativity for negativity's sake, with nothing to say. It's not interesting, it's not enlightening, it's not legit critique, and worst of all, it's not *fun!*
"anti-art" nailed it.
*REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE*
I don't like this thing and neither should anyone else.
And it's also a fucking joke that should be taken as one! The channel consistently portrays this fact dipshit.
I've always hated this defense. It's especially popular with assholes. ("Haha, I'm not REALLY racist/sexist/homophobic/transphobic/a complete dick! I was just joking!")
@ 2:20, actually cracking jokes in battle isn't just a movie trope, it's an extremely common coping mechanism in high-stress situations. It's a phenomenon every American military person has experienced at one time or another. Totally not uncommon or unrealistic.
Also, come back to UA-cam, we need you.
And it’s Hydra. I’m sure they could’ve just sent Cap, Black Widow and Hawkeye for this, they didn’t need Thor, Iron Man or Hulk. This is easy mode.
As a Carioca, that was dealt with many dangerous situations, I and many others do that too.
I remember the time that I taught some friends from college how to get the safest possible during a firefight in the most casual and joking way, while it was happening one between police forces and organized crime.

So a good version of shinji? I mean he let the world get destroyed, so he could keep the latest clone of his mother alive and pretty.
13:34 It's also establishing just what kind of a villain Ultron is and how disturbed he is. Throughout the movie, Ultron says Biblical quotes and makes reference to God with lines such as "Upon this rock I will build my church", "swift and terrible sword", "Ask Noah", and "When the Earth starts to settle, God throws a stone at it." This is indicative that Ultron basically sees himself as God, far above the rabble of humanity and capable of creating and ending life on a whim.
Yes exactly, also he was partly made by Tony Stark, of course he’d make his plan as dramatic as possible
"Steve Rogers can't go back in time and return home."
Oooooooooooh just you wait my dude
I always interpreted the ‘Age of Ultron’ to mean that he was about to start a new age if he managed to smash the meteor into the earth.
I love how you actually put in your own nitpicks with the film as well as with the CinemaSins video.
+Hugo Bedward Those bread prices, though!
And how they were actually good nitpicks that were funny and what CinemaSins *should* be about. Like the funny comments about the CGI and how characters were grabbing onto literally nothing.
That War Machine tangent was great.
"Warmachine also has Don Cheedle inside!" *ding*
9 points to defend War Machine
You defending War Machine was freaking spectacular. Also you defending Hawkeye and Black Widow was amazing as well.
There's a quote from the Hawkeye comics that I've always adored:
"Say you have to kill the avengers; where do you start? The normal guy, right? Clint Barton is the last man I'd call normal."
30:10 The title "Age of Ultron" was actually referring to a new age Ultron was trying to create, which is shown when he says " When the dust settles, the only thing living in this world, will be metal". The Age of Ultron didn't actually happen, it was just what he was attempting to make.
darkaoru I like the version that Bovidss came up with better, but I see how that works.
Dank Quixote
Darkoau's makes more sense.
Please never stop doing these.
And he stopped doing these.
Honestly I respect that. Like, at the end of the one for Cabin in the Woods, one of his responses to the "CinemaSins is just a parody/satire of nitpicky joyless movie reviews" is "if CinemaSins had a point to make about THAT, they would've been capable of making it within a dozen or so videos, and wouldn't need to keep churning out bullshit critiques of more and more movies."
So the fact that bobvids stopped responding to everything CinemaSins did actually lends credence to his assertion that he criticized CinemaSins because he had a coherent objection to their whole operations model. Once he made his point about what was wrong with the way CinemaSins does things, the fact that CinemaSins continued doing those things didn't require him to keep rehashing those criticisms, because they clearly apply to the new CinemaSins videos just as well as to the previous ones.
(Also, it provides another favorable comparison between the two series: CinemaSins does whatever the hell they want, then says "it's just satire" after the fact to deflect criticism; Everything Wrong With Everything Wrong With says "X is how you make an effective satire" and then _does X,_ even when that means turning down an obvious source of pageviews.)
FIERRO PARIENTE
Themexicansnob This is probably by far the dumbest channel I have ever seen. This loser literally gets all of his views because cinemasins exists haha think about that. He knows what he's doing..

Black widow: *exists*
Cinema sins: yep that's a sin.
“This scene is about how Black Widow is prepared to give her life to save humanity.”
HOLY EPIC FORESHADOWING BATMAN
In regards to the Scarlet Witch criticism, while she is incredibly powerful, she's not a character who can do everything. Her powers take concentration and focus in order to use, and if she's stuck using her powers to do something huge in the middle of a huge freaking battle with no one to back her up, then she's doomed. She needs a team to back her up, and vice-versa. That's what a team is: A group of individuals who work together, covering for everyone's weak points, and providing assistance when it's needed.
We see that in Civil War towards the end of the airport battle.
Not to mention she is a glass cannon. A sniper could take her out. Other than her powers she has no other resistance.
if strong women turn him off it explains why he complains so much about black widow fighting smh
She's a spy with extensive combat training. Just because she specializes in spy work doesn't mean she can't fight.
Hansbald, dude, seriously? She's in the fucking Avengers. Do I have to say more for you to understand why she's fighting with the other Avengers? If she's good enough to be in the Avengers, then she's more than capable of fighting in battlefields.
@@parcelpasser552 well I mean she's a founding member. It'd be pretty dick-ish for the others to tell her and Hawkeye, "sorry guys, leave this to the heroes"
@@acecashman1237 she's far more than "just a spy". She's had extensive training and is a master in martial arts, and is an expert on psychological manipulation, ffs she tricked the GOD of mischief into revealing his plan, albeit a bit too late.
And in some iterations she's been given a less intense version of caps supersoldier serum.
Hawkeye has inhuman accuracy/dexterity, if you have a problem with his abilities I'd say you have to have a problem with caps, they're both at the peak of their given ability
While I was watching this for the sake of listening to something in the background, I had to stop and say that your commentary on some parts has help me appreciate the movie even more. The analysis of Cap dream sequence was beautiful.

You know Cinemasins is all satire, right? They aren't seriously reviewing these things.
Xetren Bullshit, this has been disproved by so many people with so many videos. Hell, they disproved it themselves. Even then, this video shows literal evidence that some of the “satire” was actual bad criticism last that he had.

"Age of Ultron" also refers to his end goal. After humanity was gone he would be the only one left. It would be the dawn of a new age of nothing but Ultron bots.
Kinda makes me wondering about the alternate timeline where Ultron must defend themselves against Thanos (since Ultron is the one that should've had mind stone in his head)
It might also refer to the period of time after this movie that causes a distrust in the Avengers, the Sokovia Accords, and the fear of any AI/autonomous robots (as seen in Agents of SHIELD)
Yes, thank you! With the theme of extinction and the meteor speech, you'd think this was obvious.
Also, age means the length of time that a person has lived or a thing has existed. or a length of time in history
@@nickyfandino8529 Well, since Ultron is not exactly a living creature and would not be affected by the snap, I doubt he would opose to Thanos.
And even if half of Ultron's bots "died", would he care that much? Just build more.
26:13 Hawkeye's also making a point by highlighting the fact that he's using a bow and arrow; If he can stand up and fight to save the world, than anyone can, especially someone as powerful as the Scarlet Witch.
I cant believe an Avengers movie is too difficult for Jeremy to follow. I hope he has a good support system to not to die from other complicated things, like forks, chairs or mailboxes.

What about "breathing"?
Your catch on Captain America was amazing. I never noticed the thing on him being defined by war. He's my favorite character in the series and that take makes him even more interesting.
Stanley Terrell Anderson II He's called Captain America. It's a metaphore that America was in war since its discovery.
That was something that I thought of too and it shows how both are complex. He has always been on the side of pro-freedom, but at the same time cannot live without conflict.
Hansbald Guys look, it's someone who thinks they're being edgy by disagreeing with your opinion with no actual evidence to further discussion or even back up his thoughts!
Hansbald First off, he is the farthest thing from a puppet of the government. His entire arc over the course of the films has been him learning to distrust the government, which eventually leads to him becoming an outlaw. And even when he did work for them (which was only in one film and a fraction of another), he was not a "puppet." He worked via his own ideals and his own agency. Secondly, the powers are not what makes him Captain America, It's his heart. That sounds cheesy, but it's true. He was chosen due to his selflessness and bravery, his drive and ideals. The powers are not what makes Captain America what he is.
Bryce Bitetti that reminds of the people that get pissed off over Superman being overpowered but want to say shit like "Batman can beat everyone because he's Batman. You don't know anything about the character and their drive, you take them at face value and don't want to learn.
In addition to the points you made about the Hulkbuster armour, it requires _eleven_ arc reactors to run. I'm also going to make an educated guess and say that if the Hulk damages even one of them, the armour will only have a limited amount of time before it shuts down.
I had a different take on the meaning of "Age of Ultron." Besides it being a reference to the comics. It's what Ultron is seeking to start. Once he kills off humanity to save it, he will have created the Age of Ultron.
So Natasha is weak?
Natasha has received the Red Room's variant of the Super-Soldier Serum. As a result, her physical and mental abilities had been enhanced slightly beyond human limits.
The Black Widow is a world class athlete, gymnast, acrobat, aerialist capable of numerous complex maneuvers and feats, expert martial artist (including karate, judo, ninjutsu, aikido, savate, various styles of kung fu, and boxing), marksman, and weapons specialist as well as having extensive espionage training. She is also an accomplished ballerina.
Her agility is greater than that of an Olympic gold medalist. She can coordinate her body with balance, flexibility, and dexterity easily.
The Black Widow has been enhanced by biotechnology that makes her body resistant to aging and disease and heals at an above human rate; as well as psychological conditioning that suppresses her memory of true events as opposed to implanted ones of the past without the aid of specially designed system suppressant drugs.
Due to the Super-Soldier Serum, the white blood cells in her body are efficient enough to fight off any microbe, foreign body and others from her body, keeping her healthy and immune to most, if not all infections, diseases and disorders.
Her bodily tissues have been augmented to superhuman development. She possesses exceptional durability, strength, endurance, and stamina.
Natasha's reaction time is similarly enhanced and functions with the peak of human efficiency and capability, bordering on superhuman level. It is possible for Natasha to dodge a bullet even at point blank range. - Wikipedia -> Black Widow -> Powers

Jeremy needs some English lessons. Going back to fourth grade would help him to learn the actual meaning of words like satire, parody, Deus Ex Machina, irony, sarcasm and critique.
Sans Nom oh yeah! I totally forgot when my fourth grade teacher Mrs. Hedges gave the lesson on Deus Ex Machina. Fucking Moron.
Don't forget his abundant use of the word racist for every situation when the word sexist would actually be correct or bigot
Theresa Stevens That is the joke, the line “That’s racist” is synonymous with cinemasins as it is just one of their mannerisms. It is kind of an inside joke that one would have to watch a good amount of videos to understand, but your criticism is definitely not justified.
He doesn't care. He's earning the moolahs making those videos. What's more concerning is how people gulp up these destructive videos, and think these guys are smart. The general population is dumb. And Jeremy is taking full advantage of it.
Ice Bear Not once did I under exaggerate a fourth graders intellectual possibilities, but at least coming from a wealthy San Diego suburb where most of the kids tend to go to UC schools, I can tell u with certainty that the far majority of 4th graders will hardly understand sarcasm let alone a latin phrase that points out plot conveniences.
Serbian person here: before English was compulsory from 1st grade, it was taught from 3rd or 5th grade (depending on where you lived) all the way to the end of high school, and it has been that way at least since my mother, born in 1971, went to school. Also, most things are subbed, not dubbed here. Unless the crowd was made up of retired people from the countryside, most would know what the robot was saying.
Funnily enough, I never realized those signs were in Serbian until I watched this video. I could read the names of the shops in the streets but I thought it might be any Eastern European language.
Bella J U kojoj je to sceni?
Why do Cinema Sins fans pass off misinformation as a joke? It’s not even a good joke.
THANK YOU for explaining Iron Man 3's ending perfectly. So many people get the wrong idea that Tony told Pepper he's retiring when he literally just told her he'll be "shaving down" the obsession a bit.
"Man I'm teally feeling like jazz tonight but I can't go because of these high bread prices!"
I laughed out lout at that pretty hard.
that was hilarious
The scene was filmed in South Africa, where news headline posters like that actually appear. I remember actually seeing that specific one. Not saying it's not funny, but it wasn't placed there intentionally. It's just a part of the background they filmed it in.
I don't understand. Why can't you go to whatever bar or club that the jazz band is playing at and listen without actually buying drinks? I know it's bad form, but I'm sure if you really wanted to you could, even if money's so tight because of high food prices that you can't afford a drink. These two things just seem unconnected to me. Oh, unless you mean that due to high food prices, you need to work overtime and thus will be busy working during the time that the jazz band is playing?
I have no idea why I've latched onto this but my lizard brain won't let go.
You like jazz?
Jeremy Renner actually said that he hated the fact that he was mind controlled in the first one and he wanted to do more, so that joke was a reference to that
I just love that half of these videos are bob explaining how stories and characters work to cinema sins.
Every time I hear Jeremy mention being confused by something that's explained by something earlier in the film, I just want to yell, "Watch the movie, and you'd know!"
To be fair, CinemaSins used to pay more attention, but they led to much shorter videos.
Then again, I like the short videos more.
Yeah now there's just too many running gags like "ex machina" and "....cliche" not enough actual observations of setting mistakes or just mess ups that happen
True that, I also miss their old 4-7 min videos. The 20+ minute ones are dull and repetitive.
Ah, I remember a time when a Cinema Sins video running on for more than like 5 minutes was a sign that they were doing a really, REALLY bad movie...
+Melvin Carter My absolute least favourite of the running gags they have these days is the simple *sigh*. Sure, I get that they're going for the 'this thing is so bad that it doesn't even need explaining' thing but my problem is that a lot of the time, I'm really not sure what's so bad about the thing they're showing. It feels lazy as all hell.
To be fair, paying more attention doesn't mean much when you're being compared to this dogshite.
So did they consciously move to lower-quality videos to take advantage of youtube incentives for longer videos?
Regarding the acid throwing nitpick about four minutes in: acid throwing attacks aren't a major issue in Eastern Europe, but they unfortunately aren't unheard of in the region. The acid thrower might be on his way to perpetrate such an attack.
The acid thrower, if its the guy they showed during that part, looked like Zemo now that I notice, I think that acid was specifically meant for the Avengers.
@@MysteriousTomJenkins but he had no reason to hate the avengers in that scene, he only started hating them after the events of the film after his family died in ultrons attack, and ultron wasnt even a concept yet
I was thinking the same thing. Acid attacks happen with much greater frequency overseas than in America, where we have the second amendment. It's just statistically true, for better or worse.
@@MessyGamer616 Considering there's already some anti-Avengers propaganda sprayed on the walls and some sort of protest in progress before the Legion even got there, I think the people of that city already had issues with the Avengers long before the place was totally destroyed. The fight against Ultron just made a bad situation worse.
The idea of him being on the way to a completely different acid attack and throwing it at this robot he came across is really bleakly hillarious
"This is a very stupid line written by a very lost screenwriter"
Well, he was right, what he said was a very stupid line indeed. Is Cinemacins really so stupid that they've never seen a movie where someone willing to die says something along the lines of "what a beautiful view"?
The thing about cinemasins is that they don't watch the movie they're reviewing more than once. I don't know this for an absolute fact but I'm almost 100% sure of it. A lot of his "I'm so confused" moments are ones you might miss if you're watching a movie for the first time, especially while taking notes. This is why 90% of commentary channels rewatch what they're reviewing more than once, so they don't miss anything.
"High Jazz Bread Prices" is my new indie rock band name
I could watch these forever.
eataneraser Same
15:27 "he cant go back in time"
.... *Vsauce voice* OR CAN HE ?
But first. We have to ask *beat*
What is time?
This actually taught me a lot about the movie. I tend to have trouble focusing and remembering things, so I didn't pick up on how emotion-driven Ultron was or how the Iron Legion wasn't designed for combat.
lol #59
Cinemasins is why Kinder Surprise eggs are illegal in the US.
hoooooooly shit 🔥🔥🔥
fucking rekt
Do his video on The Winter Soldier, please. That one was freaking terrible.
I agree!
Really? That's one of my favorite CinemaSins videos. I think he dislikes the movie more than it deserves, but I also think everyone else likes it way more than it deserves. It was pretty good, but people act like it was The Dark Knight or something.
James Relich I hate The Dark Knight
The Winter Soldier is easily by far the best of the MCU. No other Marvel film touches it, and likely will never touch it.
MattrickBT Nah, Doctor Strange was better
Your War Machine stanning gives me life. Bless.
Bread Prices: It's over! I have the High ground!
Jazz: You underestimate my power!
Huh. This actually made me appreciate Age of Ultron a lot more than I used to. That was a damn good movie.
...
Imma go watch it now, plz make more of these
also, with the confusing Rhodey with ultron drones, THEY ALL KNOW WAR MACHINE! All the Avengers know him on a personal basis and definitely can recognize his suit.
Carl Deaton okay, but when your in the heat of the moment fighting off hundreds of killer robots, how are you supposed to spot the stick coming off of war machines suit compared to the hundreds of other nearly identical robots
Shoot the thing that is attacking you...
Plus, they will probably split up specifically to prevent that.
To be fair, I also totally forgot about Helen Cho when that line comes up. She was a minor character in like the second scene, so referencing her as a major plot point so much later was pretty confusing.
That Jazz and Bread Prices bit genuinely got me.
I love all the comments accusing you of being "obsessive" for looking for all the flaws in a 15-20 minute video and not realizing the irony that they're defending someone who does the exact same thing as a living to 2-3 hour movies.
Also the people trying to defend cinemasins by saying it's supposed to be funny. As in, the people who obviously didn't watch the entire video.
Eh, looking at the flaws of a 15 min Video is faster than doing a 2 Hour Video.
I imagine the irony of it is completely lost on the obsessive fans.
Ixiah27 what does that have to do with anything
Ixiah27 its half an hour you idiot
This is the type of commentary on Cinema Sins that is needed. They started out funny because they based their sins on actual truths, actual sins. Now they are just manufacture bullshit.
They have been manufacturing shit since the beginning. Watch "Everything Wrong With The Room". They add on hundreds of sins for reasons that aren't actually legitimate nitpicks.
I stopped enjoying Cinema Sins after watching the video about Passengers when I realised that they were just making up garbage to further the hate already thrown at what is a great movie. Then I started looking at other videos and realised they were exactly the same. As you guys say, half the criticisms are explained away in the actual movies themselves. Cinema Sins suck
And I the other half of the sins are the death of comedy.
You should check out CinemaWins, the self-proclaimed "most optimistic guy on the internet". I think I've watched all his videos 3 or 4 times!
@@compd I just found his videos and my god they're great. Not only is it a safe place for some genuine positivity (even for things like The Last Airbender) he also has what seems like an actual knowledge of moviemaking and he ACTUALLY understands the references and callbacks and everything, something sins doesn't do, even if it was a reference to something half a second ago.
As fun as the elevator theory is, I have my own. Tony does indeed have a finger print scanner in the elevator, but Steve's taking so long isn't because he's a dick, but because he wanted the elevator to work the same as it would have in Steve's own time. So that's why it actually takes that long and Steve gets to say his piece because that's the only elevator in the world that works how he remembers elevators working.
Edit: Also for number 52 I'd argue that no, Banner isn't influencing the Hulk. Instead we get a moment to understand that yes, the hulk is for the first time seeing the consequences of his actions. When him and the Hulkbuster are fighting, he's full of so much fury that he doesn't care. It was only when he's on the ground, looking up does he see all of the 'puny humans" suffering and in fear from him. The Hulk is his own man independent of Banner and we've seen at least in passing, that Hulk himself also has empathy and morals. All of that, along with him turning off the Natasha message is foreshadowing for Thor Ragnarok and the idea that the Hulk isn't some mindless rage machine. But a thinking, feeling, human being that sometimes makes bad decisions because he allows his emotions to get the better of him. He both is and isn't Banner's rage, but rather an alternate version of Banner that is more emotionally honest with himself, but not as developed socially.
I'm not gonna lie, these are way more fun to watch than watching the super nitpicky critics nitpick silly things in entertaining movies.
I generally tend to not like legitimate film critics anyway. I'll decide for myself if I like a movie or not.
Since when was Cinemasins ever a legitimate film critic channel?
They openly state that their channel is part legitimate review, and either way, a significant portion of the fanbase views it as basically a review anyway.
Austin Leach no, none of the fanbase view it as legit reviews, maybe some random viewers do, but if you call yourself a fan, you understand.
MustMuv Films I don’t think cinemasins has anyone who call themselves “fans.”
Dylan Paine idk, the subscriber count and consistent view count say otherwise. I mean, most people who would classify as "fans" of cinemasins aren't going to awkwardly shout to the world that they like the channel like a Shane Dawson fan would do.
Its amazing what happens when a person *actually* pays attention, and loves War Machine. Good Video
“you can’t wear them because they’re full of robot”
*fazbear entertainment has entered the chat*
I'm just gonna throw out that if Pietro is anything like Wally, then his perception is at normal speed until he actively shifts up.
Sometimes it's an unconscious instinct, which is why he's suddenly geared up to Super Speed when Clint fires the gun.
I imagine what happened is the instant he heard the gunshot he instinctively shifted up to Speed Mode without realizing it.
Bullets travel faster than the speed of sound. The only ones that don't are called subsonic rounds which are a special case.
@@Espartanicawhich is why the bullet is infront of his face when he enters superspeed, not just leaving the barrel. Not sure what you were trying to say here
@@noseycrane That the bullet travels FASTER than the SOUND. He wouldn't hear it until it had passed him.
When you slammed him with "Too much insecurity"... It was freaking beautiful. Thank you very much
Posting this here because I think it would get lost in the other 1700 comments, but while I appreciate the black widow love and the (rightful) lampooning of toxic masculinity, +bobvids kind of implies that black widow's portrayal in this movie was above feminist criticism...which it very much wasn't.
No movie is above criticism (of any kind), since no movie is perfect. Bobvids does the good job of pointing out that not all criticism is valid, or in the case of EWW vids, even makes sense.
....Yes? I know?
I'm not talking about criticism of any kind, I'm talking specifically about black widow. In fact, the EWW video actually makes a very insightful criticism regarding her portrayal and the weird monster-infertility parallel the movie draws, but bobvids glosses over that in favor of pretending that Jeremy is just a sexist pig and there's nothing to criticize about Black Widow, both of which are demonstrably untrue. Not all criticism of criticism is valid or makes sense, either.
I really do not get why that is a negative in the movie. I don't even hear any slam about male sterility.
Because we don't live in a culture where historically men were only valued for their reproductive capabilities.
Oh plleeeeaaase make this a regular series... The sass in this video is off the charts and I love it so much!
Missed a point in: How did Quicksilver get shot? Bullets crawl in speed to him, he could've saved the kid without getting hit once. We *see* him watch bullets move as if they're barely moving, and yet the thing that kills him are... regular bullets.
It's something that always made that scene lose weight to me
Ultimately, Quicksilver got shot because they needed to rewrite it so that he dies. The original deal the MCU had with Fox (this was before Disney bought almost all of Fox) was that both of them could use both Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. But, during the development of this movie, the contract broke down to the MCU getting Scarlet Witch and Fox getting Quicksilver.
There was a cloud of dust in the air, he couldn't actually see where most of the bullets were. He couldn't risk making the wrong move and having the kid's body collide with one of them at superspeed, it would have been lethal.
Also, let's not forget that he's very young and wasn't prepared for any of this. He had helped a monster bring in the destruction of his hometown and - nearly - his whole world, and everything Hydra had told him turned out to be a lie. I think he, at that moment, wanted to die a hero.
Furthermore, earlier in the movie we had been shown twice that Pietro's awareness of his environment is not absolute. First, in the scene when Tony/Bruce/Hawkeye get into a fight with Pietro/Wanda/Cap over the Cradle, Clint shoots the glass floor from under his feet and Pietro is caught off guard. Later, during the Sokovia battle, we are shown in slow motion how one of the city police's bullets nicks his shoulder while he's distracted.
They had to kill him off for legal reasons, yes, but I'd argue that it was set up pretty well. Not to mention the "What? You didn't see that coming?" running joke they shared with Clint that packed a ground shattering punch. Do you remember how everything, everything was pointing out at Clint's imminent death? I do. I think I screamed a little at this moment.
CinemaSins: We're not critics.
Me: Good, cause you'll never be one.
TheMock5000 nor will he and his writers make movies
*Alright I wasn't going to say this because it is definitely a valid nitpick that they didn't bother explaining these things in the movie, but if you are curious of whatever, here are the answers to the Quicksilver questions:*
1. The fact that the whole world is so slow to Quicksilver actually greatly contributes to his personality, and the reason he has such a quick temper in the comics. I think Avengers Academy was the best to describe it most recently in a documentary watched by one of the characters; "Imagine there's a long line at the post office, so you go to use their automated machine. But the person in front of you can't figure out how it works. They're pressing the wrong buttons... hitting 'cancel and starting all over again. While you know you could complete both their transaction and yours in under thirty seconds. That's what every moment of every day is like for Quicksilver."
2. Quicksilver talking very quickly to the point of others not being able to understand him is a reoccurring gag in the comics as well, particularly when he's stressed, there are no spaces between his words and sometime his face is blurred because his mouth is moving so fast.
i'm amused that you are a way better nitpicker than cinama sins.
Michael m Makes since when considering the effort being put into it, or in CinemaSins’ case, lack of effort.
"In summary, War Machine is The Shit, and I'm having none of that sass" god what a mood
One thing I'd like to point out is that Black Widow actually does have powers. It's never explicitly stated in any of the movies (that I know of), but when she was in the red room as a child, she was given a version of the super soldier serum. It didn't work as well as Steve's or Bucky's (of course), but she is still much stronger than average and can withstand more than a regular person. This is canon in the comics and is implied in the movies.
You know what? War Machine DOES look cooler than Iron Man. He has a MINIGUN on his SHOULDER.
Usually I like CinemaSins, but sometimes they drop the ball HARD. Like in the one you covered here, and in their Everything Wrong with Inside Out (and a few others too), just about all of their non-joke sins were actually explained in the movie. Critiquing a movie without paying attention to it is like... well, it's like DarkSydePhil when he plays any game that has a story.
+179marioyoshi971 "... well, it's like DarkSydePhil when he plays any game." fixed it for ya! ~ >=3
I used to like CinemaSins back when their videos were around 4 or 5 minutes long. After that, I think of them as one of the worst shits on the internet.
7:48 that would have been hilarious if Tony actually did that! I can just imagine Cap standing in the elevator wondering why modern technology is so slow only for Tony to tell him that it was specifically designed for him :D
And now Hydra having Loki's cepter is explained in detail in Avengers End Game, when they go back in time to 2012 for the three gems in NY at that time
Cinemasins : if everything isn't given an airtight explanation immediately it's a sin .
20:00 a horizontal beam of energy which throws cap straight up into the air while still having him travel forward fast enough to remain in the same place relative to a moving truck.
If the beam did absolutely nothing but shove Cap vertically, his forward momentum would keep him traveling at the same speed as the truck, minus a tiny bit because of wind resistance.
So some unseen villain was lying in the road and got off a perfectly timed shot on Cap as he was passing over is what I'm saying.
Well if the shot produces a shockwave when hitting an object, it could be dispersing in the upward direction after breaking the door off, thus pushing the door away and Cap upwards.
Still, if you turn real life physics on, this is not possible :D
Of course real life physics = no Marvel / comic book universes period. Hell, that even applies to most "real world" action movies. Even Alfred Hithcock said it, plausibility is not a concern, it only has to feel believable.
Indeed, I rarely find myself having a problem with stunts in these movies when watching them in the theatre. It's all about delivering entertainment to the audience.
Thank you so much for this :) I've always felt uncomfortable with CinemaSins' subtle but consistent sexualisation of women, but it seemed too minor to make a credible complaint about. You putting it into a larger context of Black Widow Hate (for this particular woman) helped give catharsis over that.
Anouk Fleur Jeremey is definitely an insecure man and it shows when he reduces women, the thing he desires to valueless objects, then protests when he perceives their strength as a threat.
Looking down on Black Widow and Hawkeye is basically the same as looking down on Batman.
bobvids: (shows how much of a War Machine fan he is)
Me: You, too, are a man of culture.
Davis Keaton I’m glad he wasn’t taking that War Machine slander. It was one of the best things in this video
You've misinterpreted Hulk's change and his ability to calm himself. But not to your fault since it's only become clear during Thor Ragnarok.
Hulk himself is learning and gaining emotional complexity. It's not Banner revolting and taking over
I say that hitting Hulk hard in the head took him out of Wanda's mind-sway thing. That's why he started to become the normal Hulk again - the one who can tell his enemies from friends.
Which makes his last scene even better.
7 seconds too long for elevator doors to close? Clearly you've never used the elevators in my apartment.
Andrew Blank I agree. Elevators take some time to close unless if you push the close button, and even then it isn't instant and Cap seemed to just push a floor button (or directional) and nothing else.
Yeah, but in an ultra high-tech building?
The ones in your apartment do take a while to close
Wow, Jeremy seems to watch movies strictly with the intention of (negatively) criticizing them. Obviously you’re not gonna enjoy every movie you see but I’ve watched several clips of his car rides. Notice he never has anything positive to say. It’s like he’s just trying to point out as many negative things he can think of. And something tells me he’s been doing that long before CinemaSins. More proof that CinemaSin is in fact Jeremy, not a “character.”
Imagine watching a movie only to discuss all the things you *_didn’t_* like about it or were confused about.
10:21 I'm pretty sure Cap was just making a gentrification joke lol
